Reflections and Predictions on the Evolution of Music Industry Technology TPP242

Tantra Punk Singing Live

In this episode I share reflections and predictions from my experience of the evolution of music industry technology, excerpted from a academic research interview

My (non-verbatim) notes:

TP: Creating record albums on vinyl with indy punk bands, some times on labels, sometimes 100% diy

have had experience of difficulties, as a very strict very purist indy artist, wanted to avoid bar codes, distributes, anyone who’d want to control you creative direction

getting you hooked on hype

bands renting big tour buses, fancy hotels, their in debt with the label, they lose the right to perform with their name

didn’t have any of those horror stories to that extent, but experiences I had sometimes selling out a little bit to the labels and the music industry, it’s an asymmetrical deal

the sports player who gets their checks is rich, but the person who writes their checks is wealth

if you’re the talent or player or whatever you are that’s generating this ecosystem of wealth around you, always replaceable by whatever’s up and coming next

if you’re not making them money hand over fist, your music gets tossed in the bargain bin, that was the brick and mortal experience before things got super digital

different forms of financial abuse and exploitation, deal end deals, contracts not being honored, music being bootlegged

when you’re sold to have higher hopes but you don’t get the backing that you’d thought you’d get

melting down of band relationships, smart contracts are apt

blockchain tech and facilitate more autonomy and more decentralization, really have more disintermediation between artists and their end user audience, their fans

this technology of smart contracts can create more returns and more yields, more control of royalties, management, intellectual property rights management through smart contracts

a lot of disputes, drama, heart breaking madness when bands form and they all start out as college buddies, high school, garage band, resistant to notion of creating contracts to split up ownership

it’s a myth that if you engage in a contract you’re assuming an adversarial relationship, it’s like when people don’t do prenuptial agreements, happens in bands all the time, really ugly to the point where several bands are using the same name like a forked blocked chain, lot of drama, problems

when you want to bring in a studio musician or side person, can’t afford representation

once a smart contract gets written in code, it can get duplicated, modified, iterated upon

all that stuff is unfolding pretty rapidly

I’ll probably make it into the early adopter bracket, but I’m relying on geeks, developers, want to be in first generation of early adopters, enthusiast for technology

last time I toured with a band, we had a pay with bitcoin option

evolution of stable coins, dai, maker dao, really gonna facilitate solving a lot of early problems that ethereum dapp developers being

one of the most exciting them for me about it is you can resolve and prevent disputes, sit down with collaborators, and say are we gonna go in equal rights per contributor, you might say, the drummer doesn’t write melodies, or lyrics, but we have the creative solidarity, since it’s not just a cult of the front person, there’s a place for that too, for example a band every body wants to value each other’s input equally

thanks to bitpay you can do ethereum payments, a lot of this stuff can work along side or parallel, payment to smart contract, can split percentages to each member

talent buyers at clubs, be just like making a paypal payment or swiping a card, as an artist you could make a statement by going full crypto

if its not direct crypto payments, this band is going to funnel our payments, from all revenue streams, have it all go into a smart contract, still have accountant, still have legal advice

security of immutable blockchain, better to say corruption resistant

people embezzle, people pocket money, some people feel they deserve more

they creep up, a lot of resentment kills bands, how many bands could you save if you were able to preclude 99.9 percent of the drama that happens over sharing resources

M: do you think this is a solution that would really change or help music industry, goes to apple, then to record label, is there a big need for an instant royalty payment

TP: yeah, that’s a great point, I’d say that’s absolutely critical where we get to the point where Andreas Antonopolis, I think he coined, at least the first time I heard the word, basically called it streaming money if we get to that point where for example, some miracle of governance makes it possible for one of the competing blockchains to facilitate lightning speed peer to peer transactions, that don’t get bottlenecked like ethereum network and crypto kitties

sometimes perverse incentives with confirming transactions and blocks, for general listening audience, at this stage of development, early stage, a long lag time, when there’s more use the system gets less efficient, it doesn’t scale, the way we’re used to

we want to get to this state of streaming money, micro payments and splitting up in multiple recipients via smart contracts, within next year or two is my guess, legal contracts that hold water

let’s say you’re a band and you’re on the road, and you already tapped out your advance for the recording, you went out of pocket, you’re out there on the road, like a start up that doesn’t have seed funding, if you’re vehicle breaks down, or you gotta bail out one of your members because they were plastered and started tearing up the hotel room or something, or you have to buy them drugs, if you had streaming money, we just did a great performances, numbers are going up, people sharing music, posting videos, some platforms do have faster payouts, but the older school gears of processing payments

it would be great, for established bands, they could have a really good run putting out a chart topping single, then the growing pains of success can kill the band, they can break up on the first tour, being a touring musician is more stressful than people appreciate, the toll, lack of sleep, road food, immune system depressed, swabbing the country for new strains of colds and viruses

M: for streaming money, artists don’t get paid enough right now, one big question, is it because we as a consumer, buyer of music, 2019 everyone is streaming, I don’t see anyone buying a cd, everyone knows , are the platforms giving themselves too much money, or we as consumers are not willing to pay that money

TP: honestly I’m not in a position myself to say, I would like to believe that in the ecological economics, I’d like to believe that less brick and mortal less physical materials, not as clean and green as you would like it to be, going treeless, but what about all the electricity, not accurate to assume not having a physical product and going digital, trade offs on both sides, I’d like to study that, if we assume going virtual and going digital is going to reduce the foot print of all the petroleum record albums that were printed, you don’t have to fill a landfill with an mp3 that went out of style

I’m grateful for the work that the centralized platforms have done, VC funded, I know soundcloud had a really hard time at certain points, have an appreciation for tech start up business cycles, don’t want to demonize, it’s an invitation what those entities have done, people who want to make more peer to peer open source

hacker mantra, information should be free, I consider myself, if I was Metallica, I would not have sued Napster, in that sense I appreciate that infrastructure, to create these powerful file distribution systems, but if we can reclaim the hacker ethic around that, just like bit torrent did, evolving, paraphrase Andreas, history of internet history of blockchains, if you regulate the centralized platforms, you end up forcing the evolution of people creating ways to work around that are headless

crypto, we can do our own peer to peer unstoppable versions of sharing value, intellectual property rights, sharing media, more on side of creating solutions and not protesting the problems,

why should they be charitable, let them be as predatory as they want, it will just push indy coders,

M: is it still too slow

TP: it depends on the use case, the transaction price on ethereum, the gas price, you have to pay to execute a smart contract, micro payment, peer to peer, alice pays bob one penny as a tip, for whatever the service is, if I release a track for free, if someone wants to give a .5 cent tip and it’s gonna cost a dollar, still not at a point where those micropayments are facilitated

Ameen Soleimani, pioneer developer for state/payment channels, lightning fast micropayments, that can sync up to the base layer, you have to be really advanced, and pay developers a lot of money, its just such a new technology, eventually there will be a more affordable way to develop custom apps, but hey right now if you can do that stuff, you’re gonna get paid really well, he’ll be one of the ones to facilitate that

to answer more directly, depending on your use case, let’s just say micro payments are a ways off for end users to just have some front end app, where you say hey band mates less do different rights on our tracks, that level of granularity, we’re gonna get there, but after side chain, or state channel, payment channel technology, wider range of developers

M: if a broader spectrum of programmers will get into the market, the price will sync

TP: for sure, that’s why there’s so much fighting between the different blockchains, because developer mindshare is the most precious resource and commodity, people with skin in the game, if you have skin in the game with EOS then you want developers to be very nationalistic and tribalistic with their allegiance to the code of that chain

I feel most beholden to ethereum community, even though other alternatives have been in development, not investment advice, its spirit, it’s origin story, I do believe that perhaps with ethereum 2.0 advancements we’ll get to the point where the cost of doing the computations for smart contracts will be more efficient, it was created for platform for decentralized applications

no body is used to increasing ethereum gas limit to process activity on apps, it’s all gotta be tucked under the hood

very much a premium to be in that first wave of technology, I believe in it for sure

M: erc20- explain

TP: that token standard has been prerequisite

bitcoin and ether are not stable coins,

because of the erc20 token standard, ether is like the parent currency, and the erc20 is a child of that currency, but it has independent features, total supply, other parameters for programmable money

bitcoin is programmable money, but very limited, helps reduce attack surface, makes it less easy to hack and corrupt

eth, far more programmable, large attack surface, necessary as another experiment to push limits of programmable money

erc20 had to be created to create subnetworks of value, so anybody can make you’re own token

as the SEC provides more guidance, you could be a registered securities offering with your band, don’t want to use ICO, scams and fraud, before bubble in 2017, very excited about projects tokenizing artists, and bands, so you could have this potential buy in, built in crowd source funding

used to be called the street team, because cyber street team, and now there can be blockchain stream team, incentivized to hold your token

more pertinent use case, artists and fans and music industry at large, you wouldn’t want to have a whole elaborate scheme of smart contract payments bein g made with ether, being what the payouts would be in, youd’ want to use a stable currency

I didn’t want to use centralized stable coins, the maker dao, closer to the spirit of decentralization, crypto anarchy

that’s the thing that’s got to be baked in, probably going to be dai

don’t know when that announcement will be made, viable because stable coin

M: technology right now is overly hyped, major barriers still have to overcome, blockchain will still be there

TP: I do believe there is a place for hybrids between old system and new system, people say there should never be something called a private blockchain, the sewer rat and the bubble boy, if you’re not a public blockchain, being attacked, you’re not building the armor of being open to the web, like a sewer rat, contrast that with bubble boy who didn’t have an immune system, private intranet blockchain, your’e not evolving, updating libraries, hodge podge of kludgey contractor code, unpatched supply chain code that could already be comprised, the security of open source

more eyes on code makes the bugs shallow

what needs to have blockchain and what doesn’t what needs that level of security and what doesn’t

some people describe ethereum as the slowest most expensive computer on earth, feature not a bug, if you want to more security and reliability you should be able to pay for premium, expect to happen on distributed network around the globe, for now we’re accepting those factors as being the cost of taking a step away from the big data hubs of centralization

depends on what you’re trying to do, I believe there’s a place for private blockchains, for internal auditing of record keeping, inventory, in some ways safer not to be connected to the internet, offline ledger or record of state changes, air gapped from the rest of the internet, while considering sewer rat and bubble boy thesis, best way I’ve heard it described

you don’t have to put everything on blockchain, degrees of centralization vs decentralization in the technology stack

base layer could be bitcoin or ethereum, private protocols running on top of that and anchoring back to that

all kinds of ways, on a vertical stack, tie in either above or below our use case, or app, up or down or sideways, don’t think it’s an either or

centralized database vs blockchain

I don’t think we’ll move everything onto the blockchain

there have been horror stories with the dao hack, rolling back the chain, ethereum classic, bitcoin bitcoin cash, no body wants to build their business on these fault lines of male ego conflicts

I don’t want to be the one out there trying to convert people to something that’s not mature enough to be trusted

I developed a relationship with a guy who was early in bitcoin, onboarding third world villagers, sincere desire to bank the unbanked, while he was rolling out his project, bitcoin price fell by 50 percent, can only imagine the look on his face, and those who he got excited about it, all that explaining you have to do, already been in small version of that

M: if blockchain technology can foster trust and transparency is it then possible that trust in technology, could help building up or opening up networks, to connect people better, do you think blockchain technology shifting away intermediaries, peer to peer network, helping creatives to create a better social network

TP: we’ll get to the point where the end user app interface, within a few years, you could program an app by pressing buttons on a gui, you could do millions of dollars worth of smart contract language writing when the tools are built up to a point, and the libraries of code, you can do a custom blockchain for going out with friends to a bar, to split the tab, the way you can gamify everything, if you’re in a band, and you can create an app for every show on that tour and that app for that show, the people in the audience are gonna rate the performance of the member of each band and get paid in real time based on performance, immediately increase the energy, you are gonna get paid extra on top of your per deim, based on the audience rating your performance in real time, making eye contact, audience will have a dial on the app, that app that could be program not be getting 500 million dollars of venture capital, just by downloading that app

there was a time basically you had to install tcp-ip into windows, if you wanted to use the internet, now you’d never think twice

we’ll get there, that’s gonna be the sweet spot, where anybody can program a smart contract

Com and our journey together will begin hello dear beloved welcome to Township on podcast episode number 210 I’m being joined by manifestation and he is also known as the ghost host and is that main project we’re going to talk about today is poor no plague which I am a member of the XPS. Net professional community of people all throughout different sectors of the adult industry come together find work share resources share knowledge and insights and the great forum and had good luck just reaching out and in asking for folks to they like to come on my podcast and talk about the work they’re doing in the space I’m definitely like an independent DIY level producer performer and always interested in more networking opportunities so many is one of the folks who who stepped up and took a look at some of my work and some shirts and blinks and I was a really turned on by a lot of what I was seeing at the porno flick sites and also very interested in the edgy taboo religious and spirituality themes that were coming up and though we may we may represent the movie working on behalf of different different entities and duties but stay as far as I’m concerned I’m interested in the art and creativity and the expression also the sort of just non-traditional and more which is more DIY artistic expression and interested in in just different cultures in different ways of people coming out now in and making their own telling their own story through pornography is very interesting and very fascinating from anthropological syrup refectocil with all that said many thank you so much for reaching out and I’m excited to hear all about the work that you’re doing and what brought you up to this this point of taking this role is that the ghost host and thank you for the invitation really I was a great introduction and you’re good at this a manifestation I am the coordinator for the plague just to get started God came down from heaven and told me to go out into the world and find 12 prophets to rain down a smile like the likes of which the world has never known so that’s pretty much where we’re at we’re introducing profit by profit and non-profit represents a different region of the world and Tabu category of pornography that is very exciting and so then that that excites me about this is that a lot of the religious right backlash against also called smut Peddlers is it they they seem to think that the narrative that you just explained in very plain English is like the the secret conspiracy of all of the smut Peddlers out there and I really think that most smut Peddlers are not that sophisticated in their permission in their their operation and didn’t yet you stand out with this Mission as a very purposeful very formidable adversary to to their agenda so please let’s unpack all this like I’d love to get into the Gory details like what was this experience like of this with this Revelation and and tell us obviously about the the prophets in the taboos can you just throw to unpack all this and go down the the table of contents absolutely I can give you a little run-down Prophet by Prophet the first one comes from Nazca Peru what does Masada mean she represents South America and routine of corn on the second one I came across was Herod or he goes by the username meet the creeper and you represent your lawyer in your hidden cameras things of that nature we have I see we have a c k e r r r Asian Ali Jihad from the Middle East Bernie Lomax nice little throwback there he’s our vintage porn bus Blackmagic representing Africa course whole gang men that is so cool mean it with this / I’m getting is more of like a graffiti crew or like a hacker team or something like a crew of people probably in somewhere in the 20s 30s ish I would imagine but who are like at the peak of having so much passion to express themselves and to be really out there in the world and not not afraid of like the future consequences of who you know that the things as you get older you get more conservative you get more cheerful about Grand Vacations but at a certain stage do you know when I think weed collectives of younger folks coming together in the same like we’re going to fucking do our thing I die Digger this Ensemble the sensible thing so how did you go about finding all these folks I’m basically all your big internet websites to find a landform for amateur models meet the creeper comes from the infamous and and websites and the darknet has traveled around and I found all these guys and we all sort of agreed we had this unique perspective on porn especially with the age of the internet and don’t you know on the front page of corn and you see all the starter box inside the videos and he’s definitely a darker nature in human beings and it seems like the manicure World wants to sort of ignore its we want to exploit The Fetish culture II deeper level and actually I think the progressive conservative religious right forces have basically they’re reaping what they sowed right because now if they would have let people just be free and be themselves and not be afraid and ashamed of all the stuff and it wouldn’t things wouldn’t wouldn’t have to to be we have the way they are now which is like people have to really put their lives at risk to to experience pleasure they want to have with her it’s just kind of vanilla almost sexuality or more extreme BDSM whatnot so just give us sort of the elevator pitch or or even more if you’d like half of what they’re their back story is like I feel like we’re playing a video game is like Street Fighter and you get to little bio on you see like they’re you know where they’re from and you see that that’s a great way of putting a man especially that first that yet the court has been very depressed for a long time and it’s exploding everybody’s face which is why we use the hashtag of leg is coming actually what we do is sort of satirical in a way so we can work characters especially with the category that the rent in the reading the world to represent they sort of them backlash against their own culture for example of our first model of the Latin model tourism sodomy she comes from here in Peru South America near there’s a very Macho culture but behind the scenes there’s a a lot of transvestites were example I’m not sure what the politically correct term is anymore so she sort of going against let the Macho culture here and being the dominatrix or middle eastern model Ali Jihad she’s been an arranged marriage and she wears her her facial mask and sort of expressing strong she’s a lesbian and she can express yourself more freely and I’m that’s that’s really the jest of it is I’m work splitting the taboos for all these different cultures where these people live like a man that is so exciting so now I want to go I want to be able to go and see you like where would I cuz I I looked at a couple of the the tube sites and I’m just kind of surf the bit on the different the different videos but is there a place online where you have sort of like a perfect profile Pages for each one of these characters that’s a great question actually I’m right now we have four notes like that, which is being built up and yeah it’s it’s sort of anybody’s guess right now through the tube sites we don’t have an individual profile for every character right now but we’ve only really introduced our first two prophets Tortas and sodomy and meet the creeper through the tube sites of that you’re going to see the majority of their material right now and every month we’re going to be releasing a good bulk of the next Prophet character represents a different month of the year they all ironically have different zodiac sign things of that nature well actress is so cool man I just feel like this is this is going to be the next Comic-Con sensation because there’s like a cosplay element going on there’s there’s this so much is this it just feels like it it it it hits the spot in so many ways to be able to I am just realized I wish that I was I wish that this was part of of my my younger years and I guess I still I myself I still have like a a character Persona and what not but are you so are you imagining this is going to scale to a point where I mean you said the prophecy was for the pick up the commandments so to speak that you got was for 12 but you’ve do you expect that this will kind of spark of movement and people will want to join and want to fit in somehow to this Mondelez affair so I’m never anybody who’s not one of the main prophets in joining and as soon as they’re material or fan photos but yeah it’s definitely sparked an interest in a lot of people and in the coming months websites going to have a ton of material in content that we haven’t been able to Sean to do besides yet cool man well that’s exciting and it’s good to know that this is disgusted look forward to and in the sub Center development on how it how have you been getting attention in marketing is just been I’m like super curious how how the high be able to stand out I mean this is so unique I can see it it’s super compelling and I’m just curious of all of the strategies and Pathways now with the internet that you could you know that you could explore like what has been working well for you as first marketing promotion strategies right right a little bit and marketing has been pretty easy you know through tags and just being completely different people are interested whether they like it or not so I’m getting to where we’re at now we’ve been building audience through the tube sites before the actual main Hub websites open up and it’s been an easy man to Cakewalk building up her audience that way we definitely have a big punk rock element to it it’s been fun mended the comment section under videos are like YouTube everybody’s arguing about our philosophy and people are confused and keep some questioning I think that’s really keeps on coming back to you you know what else this reminds me of that is so near and dear to my curly you know very extremely fucking rebellious in earlier years was the band Gwar your did you ever get into them where you found of Gore I love war actually yes. Man I was watching some interviews on the Sally show just this morning before they embody that that I’m just remembering the lyrics and just this hilarity and discussed and satire and revulsion that they embody but it was also like so compelling and so I might think the first time I saw I was exposed to them was in that movie with Ethan Hawke called Mystery Date were they actually were at a club in the movie Theses you see that and now I think this is like the second coming so you guys should start a band 2 sped up like Punk background music almost like a noise like a handjob music video and and I love that and I love this idea of like just the spirit of DIY men porn now being something that we couldn’t really we certainly couldn’t publicize we could make it back in my you know de I guess you could say but now it’s like a you want to like make a statement you just get a camera get on a tube site and Bam like do your thing and throw some music on there so how does punk rock play into your personal life and is it part of the 1st fabric of the collected that you’re building one. oh yeah for sure man I’m a during my youth punk rock was a very inspirational and I saw the same in your videos talking about your background and growing up I’m punk rock’s been very important to me what are some of that what are some of the styles that you were gravitated towards in the in the punk movement back in the day man up Hed PE Randstad the transplants no bands like that big Marilyn Manson fan Blink-182 actually coincidence are prophets that were found throughout the internet like tortoise inside of me is actually meet the creeper by Rob Zombie Blackmagic Hed PE all the usernames actually I’m sync up to sort of 90s nu-metal punk rock band song then also I’m somewhere I’m somewhat scared to even invoked the name but it reminds me of the Juggalos in the Insane Clown Posse and like the the cultures that spin off of bands and the sort of the yeah man like it really is the glue of generations coming up together and getting into extreme music of whatever genres in I really appreciate the people who can appreciate appreciate the people who can appreciate multiple genres and be into the goth industrial Punk metal and you don’t have all of that be influences in and what not so yeah me hopefully you all will be those of you musically inclined will will start to produce tracks of your own to go with them is that something that anyone’s doing or you just talked about doing oh yeah we got to talk to her a couple bands I’m here locally in Peru and back in the states that we’re going to start getting music from and no make it more than just born doll some music videos with slower videos been equated to already right now this is what is this is what is also a very interesting layer of legal protection for us pornographers is that if there is political educational or artistic value I believe those are verbatim words that protect you from sanity laws you know then don’t quote me on it but but I’ve looked into some of this President and I know that like there’s certain things Scott blood you know there’s a list of there’s like a black list of of things that will definitely get easy obscenity prosecution happened but but a buffer I don’t know so much about exactly protect me from you no liability with those things would just in general like if you can prove that it’s has artistic value and instantly if there is a music video element and certainly there is a a message that’s coming out with with the the statements that you’re making is that the backlash against the repression of each culture I think this is a hugely I mean who for all we know they’ll be a you know Museum a traveling Museum Roadshow to like demonstrate to the world that says he’s beautiful acts of political art that you’re making I certainly feel that way about it and I know there are places you know around the within the sort of dungeon gsm network and in the even the sex positive sort of network where they would you know I would love to like see people organize a film screening like a film fest and have your videos be be like a whole night you know the phone says they’ll be great right actually obscenity laws of something that incorporate we try to walk that fine line does he know if the majority is offended then you’re in trouble that’s basically with the obscenity laws boil down to which is also why I like to call the social experiment to entertain so there is some kind of scientific value there or artistic for example in press that you knew that much about it then it’s it will get me what something is cool about what we’re both doing is like exploring these religious themes and that is usually what will get you the most backlash because people are so so neurotic about it and you know they just can’t it can’t enjoy you know even though the humorous or satirical aspect of it at all and there’s certainly people who don’t want to see anything interracial you know for fundamentalist reasons are simple you don’t want to see depictions of religious figures of course defamed and that I mean altimate sacrilege me weird then the territory of ultimate sack religion but I also feels like the Most Blessed place to be so I don’t know you go figure yeah yeah for sure man in the dangerous me about your work to I’m a big spiritual into it while I feel like I’m exploring more of those Fat Tire you take it very seriously I saw through your videos and I’m interested in that man at the beginning of this during the introduction you said that we might be coming from two different entities I was wondering if you could touch on that a little bit cuz I’m interested well well thank you I mean you’re turning your back on me a little bit I’ll try to I’ll keep it short so we can keep the focus on you and overall but but I do appreciate the conversation last back then and I’ll say that this is an interesting a very interesting juncture for what were you and I are talking about now because I would say we we live in a world where and a time where we Revenge either directly or indirectly like horribly victimized by the corrupt pedophile Empire of the Catholic church that owns more property than any other single entity on the planet in this basically mine fucked and spiritually abused everybody who’s been forced to speak English and Spanish for like centuries in that space of like spiritual violation in trauma it’s very difficult and I think the punk rock movement in an even Marxism and communism the there has been a major rebellion and backlash against all things religious all things spiritual and then and then we sort of Miss this this important more indigenous deeper element which is a Shamanism a shamanistic approach to having right relationship with the spirit world which contains parasitic entities synergistic enter the entities and sometimes neutral entities but you know having an appropriate and spiritually intelligent shamanic relationship with energies and entities that are unseen and then interacting you know socially and sexually with other human beings knowing that there’s this greater invisible landscape that’s that’s where you know the the science and mysticism really has value and end I would say like the lake will freeze apples not all demons are bad like if you just start there and so you know some of them can be trained to be your lapdogs some of them can be trained to be your assassin some of them can be trained to or contracted with and bargain to be bounty hunters or others all kinds of relationships that can be cultivated so that’s why I say it’s like you know we maybe we may be dabbling or playing with different different archetypes and energies in and you know I come I played a bunch of Death Metal I I used to carve myself up and paint pentagrams and six six six with my blood and you know that was me just sort of dabbling in the realm of Ozzy Osbourne Black Sabbath Slayer level consciousness of evil forces and then getting more into Shamanism understanding yeah you know that’s kind of a child’s play the really more sophisticated mean is going to understand the Continuum and the taxonomy of the spirit will a little more and then actually be more of a designer and not just kind of like be spoon-fed Satanism or something kind of kind of false in in fake so like I got that vibe from you on like I didn’t see this what you doing oh man this is like really cartoony want to be like poser Satanism something that I could see that there’s a deeper message in a deeper sophistication so so back back to you I guess what what how would you describe your the way you reconcile the dark and the light and you know the Divine and the hell is she there all bunch of assholes I agree and we will expose them those kind of people that sounds like the route you were going with sounds like you’ve been reading on a solemn in a little bit like the Lesser key in the ground wires you know some deeper reading material there be I know exactly where talk about those are Satanism and yeah we’re not about that mean we like cartoony and satire don’t get me wrong definitely smells better than anybody like you it’s not all that simple indeed and actually I should say to to clarify actually love the cartoon aesthetic I love anime I love graphic novels I think it’s by the best way to teach a more punk rock spirituality is through a more fun in approach in with art and so I’ve definitely made Might my logo is a cartoon as well so I should say I don’t want to put down the cartoon that’s not an insult it is it is you say like you know what what is what is the angle but I could just tell you no Tortas and sodomy there is a vibe that is being exuded where’s like I don’t think I’ve seen a happier person in my life Glee and pleasure total debaucherous Hedonism that is making this woman seemed so fucking thrilled and I think a lot of the Sexes negativity just comes down to jealousy that other people are having more fun than you are and so we’re proving to the world that did that there’s this is just more fun to be more open and more experimental Yeah man so what are some you have more kind of future plans things to do that are you rolling out today have also coming up on the horizon and we should Nova other than the corn world when do you plan on getting forming like a an LLC or Corporation or somehow in like starting to set up booths at the different porn conferences and actually having more of like a what’s your brand strategy overall or is it you’re going to keep him or kind of just DIY and oh yeah we’re definitely going to start a cult and set the world on fire there might be The Thrill Kill Kult now they say that another one people have so much fun playing with his stuff so yeah that my grandfather was a tour bus driver and he toured with the Lords of acid umbilical call back in the mid-nineties well well that explains a lot doesn’t it scare my grandfather was awesome. Manuel fucken table volume down and tipping hats to all of the the shoulders that we stand on the people who like really yes if you are there other other like industrial band influences that you like or got there in like that Nine Inch Nails all the way men there definitely awesome yeah yeah I hear you man and so have you thought about doing with say like a like a lot of a lot of strip clubs and dance clubs night clubs and stuff they will feature adult performers as feature dancers and they make tons of money doing that one if you thought about doing like a burlesque or like a cabaret show what kind of thing with if this getting some of these folks together in and actually kind of doing like a dance troupe or something very interesting I can play with that so that kind of gives you more like a I feel like this is what I’m seeing a lot of a lot of independent adult performer personalities do with their brands that don’t have like a the safe for work personas online and then a not-safe-for-work personas online and they will just wear a bunch of different hats and be like Jack’s and Jill’s of all trades in Renaissance men and women and just developed a huge you know YouTube type of following and also could be like having little teasers for pornhub or whatever and so yeah hopefully that you all can can scale up and just kind of like you said be a fucking play again infect every fucking stuff yeah for sure man and you said it best to I’m we have actually been doubling on YouTube on Wii with Channel called Trigger Happy I got to get you into Fun trouble well so is there a do you have it I would I would love to if each of you all had a Manifesto on your journey to the profile so that you know people could that’s kind of like how they did the Gwar thing right they said they had an origin story and they kind of had like they’re just rude and crude fucking coming days relatively new but yeah you definitely have the right idea everybody comes from a very unique background to wait to post this until you have the website up and running and then I can link to it and it can be a seamless experience and go and check it out that’s going to be awesome yeah yeah man I don’t think I’ll be longer than I’ll maybe Saturday we’ll have it all posted up on the website Cool all right, it’ll be on the main page Okay cool so tell us about your mysterious many what how did you evolve personally to get to to get to this point of fat that’s a hell of a story where do I start guess I was but I was bullied a lot in school and one thing led to another and I got into professional wrestling just to kind of stand up for myself and professional wrestling lead to getting into stomach work quite a bit and I was inspired a lot when I was a kid by like the Indiana Jones stunt show at Disney World and the crazy story of how it all came together but one thing led to another I got like a big following in the professional wrestling circuit and that’s what led me to want to start my own kind of parity quote and would that part of leg was born through the call aspect of it all like trying to build a following in that sell up the tube sites and all this girl into it so fucking cool man I miss something that just died just resonate with which is it everybody out there is in denial that they are trying to build the cult of personality around an idea that they have that they think is worthy of other people you know giving a time of day to and the the level of transparency that she have about like that I just thought it was Dirty parody cold and just be real enough to put words in your mouth but I really respect that and I really think we should just if we were more honest about the really you if you if you have a creative idea and your wealth with for one there’s a difference of two types of people almost in this world I think it’s like you have producers and consumers you know and if you’re not making a movie out of your life Urban going to be an extra in someone else’s life movie and that’ll be all she wrote you know so so you can stand up yeah you have your idea you birth your EBT you have your brainchild and your you create a monster and if you want people to participate in the in the cult of your band or the cult of your your graffiti art or the cold or whatever it is there’s no shame in that and the only shame is when everybody isn’t their own coat here you know the only shame as if you were you’re not also doing your own thing and rotating that the attention that power so I thought I’d like this ensemble cast that you created and you may be the founder but doesn’t sound like you’re the o’mighty overlord is going to be hypnotized and manipulate people of sounds like people have a lot of autonomy and it’s more of a saturated cold if you will Geico life worth writing about with right somebody else’s life story well that’s a good one yeah and then Jim Morrison said did you have a good world when you died Jim Morrison and get stuff and get stuff for me about if you don’t want to tell the story of how you expatriate it and is that appropriate to share or what was that you want to tell the story of cuz you’re no longer in that did you expatriate from the US or you can you tell that story of where you’re you got relocated oh yeah yeah yeah I can do that no problem I’m currently living down in arequipa Peru and I got married back in 2015 and sleep I was taking care of my grandparents to lay passed away and decided to just move here with my wife instead not a very interesting story okay so now it’s I’m frustrated because you’re there you get to observe is like so you’re deep cover operative Tortas and sodomy doing this very taboo and in in Latin America you don’t fuck around and break with the Catholic Church you know there’s serious fucking mobster mafia-style death squads all connected to that shit and I will be I will be scared shittless fbe rocking that boat yet you all are doing a very blessed me and I’m sending my prayers to you to have all the protection that you need but I’m just curious if you have a sense of operational security around you know the there being any kind of backlash that isn’t just you know what backlash from people who are like real extreme haters that they might want to you know that you might want to be Detroit wheel and consider a threat I’m just curious if you have like a if you guys are fucking training with weapons and your bad ass isn’t going to be able to fucking slice-and-dice anybody that steps in your path or what right you had to take that shit very seriously and no I wouldn’t say there’s any training or protection needed men we like the open about it we’re not really scared we like being in people’s faces so you want them to know standing there with bells on that’s cool you know I also it’s a notice something interesting doing a lot of webcamming myself is that there seems to be a huge underground industry of webcamming Studios all throughout Latin America because I would assume that I’m not to be classes store a racist but I would assume that just a car like the it not everybody is going to have a super-fast Wi-Fi you know in their home not everybody’s going to have that all of the equipment needed so there’s more of like a of a camping Studio industry that I see where it looks like there’s groups of friends and couples you know it won’t show up and and basically give the house they’re cut but then they will have their show and I’ll do the county show and they’re just more just more of a studio based business model than like a home-based business model that you have in quote-unquote more developed countries and I could be totally projecting I could be totally wrong Lion Inn in misinformed and in presumptions about that but if that is the case where that makes me very interested to explore and discover is like what I witnessed on these webcamming sites is literally these collectives and teams there is like one called the best friends team or something and I think they were competing against each other for the most tips in a session whatever witnessing this new team sport of young people expressing themselves sexually in figuring out the most beautiful and elegant yogic configurations of mutual pleasure and orgies and just watching them add more logs for the fire and is a we haven’t seen this on Earth for thousands of years and it’s all coming out because of the financial incentive of webcamming where people who are rich basically and developed country term so-called are able to shower money onto the impoverished young people and hopefully not minors that’s you know knock on wood that they’re doing appropriate age verification but is it but what’s happening is that there’s a financial incentive to break every fucking Christian taboo of homosexuality and I’m watching beautiful friends doing all kinds of freaky by sexual stuff with no shame whatsoever and they’re just laughing and smiling and carrying on like you’ve never seen anybody and four Americans are on antidepressants it’s because they’re not they’re not having team sport webcamming sessions with all the male and female and trans friends like these blessed souls in South America near you’re not wrong you’re actually very very correct somebody puts their house up basically and they have a good internet connection and computer Hino capable of me know doing the camping and dumb they they kind of just like ask around for like models and couples and they come over and they do their thing for a few hours and the next couple comes in and I’m letting something that happens a lot here in South America Peru is kind of a conservative country although it’s some getting a lot more open lately but I noticed the profiles from Colombia Argentina and Brazil but a lot of those are actually Venezuelans and I’m sure you’ve heard about the political problems and oppression there right now so a lot of them are coming from Venezuela and masking their eye peas and make it look like they’re from his other countries that helps a lot but you’re totally correct about them the house internet sharing with friends I would love to make a good net fix the Netflix documentary about this phenomenon cuz I was on that I will be on camming and I would just be in order to keep myself aroused you know I would just be like thumbing through other people camping at the same time and sometimes you even be looking at each other at the same time from across the world like like working working yourself into a frenzy just like looking in the first night I just I’m on there like they’re with their on my stream and I’m on there seem like we’re actually fucking like don’t even know but we’re like beating up to each other. It’s just it’s so interesting man it’s like so social diesel Viagra and bring it back to you and then for no plague is that have you thought about creating a dedicated stream where you have different models come on under that title or maybe they have their own James but they going to represent the brand and so there’s like a a sort of aggregate Network effect true prophets and play games on whenever you watch a video on the tube sites we have the promotional links and advertising and if applicable it’ll take you to that models a webcam channeling opiate ChatterBait or jam.for wherever they come from most of our models are webcam models cool man that now I’m going to eat that’s going to cost me a few a few hundred hours in my life catching up on what I’m missing out on this because this is and it’s so cool and so interesting and fun and I guess I get bored easily with the typical whatever porn whatever camming and so if there’s this sort of cult conspiracy cabal thing happening it’s growing in in kind of fun taking over and eventually you know could be some sort of a revolution and then that’s very exciting hell yeah it’s happening man for sure cool and well I would yeah I’d say I’m like this is now something I’m extremely thrilled about almost more than anything else I’m aware of going on I’m pretty pretty bored with a lot of the things that I’ve been involved in for a long time so it says it’s especially exciting as a as things continue to grow and develop feel free to hit me up and would love to have you back on or if you have other other prophets that would like to come on but it’s an open invitation or anyone else Affiliated I think this is really something I would like to to keep stay aware of into to help promote and certainly they had the spirit of punk and a spirit of Gwar you know I love to just go in there is the notion of poetic terrorism you know when you can take that to be artistic you can just take that it’s like we don’t you know the pain is mine oh you know what I realized if you if you heard the expression the pen is mightier than mightier than the sword what happens if you take the space out between 10 and is between pain and Ms I can see if you was at there’s a typo if it was a typo and you forgot to add the space between those two words how would that read the pen mightier than the sword but don’t take out is just take out the space between pain and is penis the penis muscle that’s my new motto that’s awesome in every book of the Bible to pee so like the first one is Genesis and exodus Gods coming then well yeah again let’s let’s follow up in the future and and I’m glad to be a vector of this this plague transmission and hopefully whoever is listening to this and your blood’s been boiling and you know your ear your hair is turning white and you’re just mortified that I would be so so loose in my my spiritual correctness well this is this is something for you too to meditate on deeply into really appreciate that this is the this is the The Reaping of what was selling by by the sex negativity so we’re going to we’re going to come at you and it’s going to be raw and fun no I had a blast man I think we have a lot in common and you just bringing me back to some of the The Glory Days of when I had even when I had more brass balls you know my balls are getting a little bit jaded a little bit tarnished to it over the years we could polish them off make shiny brass balls again I am here man cool man all right will any other things you want to share again once again give the websites and and then we’ll call the show oh yeah I know that about do it man I just want to say I really appreciate you inviting me on to spend fun talking to somebody who’s similar minded and that about do anything cool and so that’s porno play calm and all of your all of the other sites are just link from there so people should just start there and go down the rabbit hole that’ll work well I appreciate looking forward to the updates and we’ll be in touch soon and take care and have a good one Township Park. Sexorcism the Tantric Opera Behind the Album Part 2 TPP198

Play

Sexorcism the Tantric Opera album cover

This is a two part mini series of commentary on the making of the Sexorcism the Tantric Opera album. I explain the story and logic behind the title, and go into detail about each track’s backstory, lyrics, and context in my journey of tantric adventuring.

Part 2 has the added bonus feature of a full (yet low quality and rough mix) album preview at the end of the commentary.  I humbly ask the listener to retain a copy of the podcast files as a security measure so that a “proof of concept” version will exist and persist within the distributed listener network until I’m able to finish the final mixing and mastering, and subsequently immortalize the work with an official release sometime in the next month.

Com and our journey together will begin hello their beloveds welcome to Township hunting podcast episode number 197 this is a behind the album episode where I am going into detail about the backstory behind each of the tracks in my still as yet not fully mixed and mastered but I’m providing a rough rough mix version right now and I’m giving this spine the album Treatise if you will in a two-part at 2 part of a miniseries to cover this because something very well I have a a dual life another life is it a touring musician in a in a somewhat prominent Punk metal grindcore band and I usually keep those worlds as separate as humanly possible for various conflicts of interest are politically maybe it’s her matters and genres and things there’s there’s definitely a reason for me to have to compartmentalize the different aspects of my my life and so I don’t normally talk about it doesn’t normally come up on the podcast or in the in the world except Township Uncle though the reason Township Punk is not your pockets because I have been in bands and have been in that scene for most of my life and and it informs my spirituality so nips all that is to say that actually I’m about to go participate in that world and go and be on a tour with that van and so for me it is a best practice of data hygiene of being a scribe in an archivist for myself to say every time before I go on a tour where my from a infosec kind of perspective an operational security perspective when I go on the road and I’m touring in a band by attack surface exponentially increases for so many reasons it’s but it’s obviously you’re you’re away from your element you are exposed to all kinds of different jurisdictions you’re in the middle of all these this debauchery and bars and clubs and all ages venues and you know is violence there is a legality of all of All Sorts just in the world of being a touring musician so so basically every time in preparation for one of these Adventures I try to do my best to kind of backup and consolidate my files and really make it easy for people to follow the the breadcrumb trail and hopefully in the case of my psychedelic sexual shamanic research material for that to be easily catalog in for people to be able to if they so choose carry on with replicating my procedures and replicating a my research and experiment to study designs so the podcast has been away too too fairly neatly organized the chronology of my works and and also the music that I create is part of documenting and in its it’s really a it is the research it’s part of the packing up the research and so that’s all that is to say that what I’m doing right now with this two-part series is making a timely effort to ensure that all of the work that I put into producing these tracks which are not yet fully released in terms of being licensed for global distribution input into the finalized ultimately point of no return Masters like right now I still have some room to to remix in to fine-tune and get some professional mastering done in a Russian as a sort of emergency measure to make sure that I have something out there as my proof of concept that will outlive me should anything knock on wood goddess forbid bad happened to me out there on the road you know the sad thing is that in this world of everything being on third-party platforms and having to pay for hosting services and whatnot I were not fully there yet with the immutable unsensible black chain file storage and distribution networks are very very close. Probably about a year away from being really the the ideal solution for pressing a button and having your whole life’s work backed up in a way that can never be destroyed or forgotten or low-cost or mishandled or tampered with an altered so given that you my dear beloved listeners right now are my best and Only Hope In This Moment of immortalizing the work that I’ve done on this album sexorcism the ton truck Opera because I do not have time at this moment to finish the final Masters and get them lodged into the Matrix of the the music industry by licensing them up through CD baby and all that and I’ll distribution networks you were my best and only option for backing up this material so what I’m going to do is I’ve recorded already a few months ago when I was also in at the moment of feeling like that the walls are closing in on me and I felt the need to too well like a plant going to see if you don’t understand is if a plant would normally grow and have a nice fully is nothing but then it gets stressed by heat or or drought or something it will just bolt it will go to seed so that’s what I’m doing I’m bolting I’m going to seed somewhat prematurely here and I hope that the seeds are harvested and can be propagated from and if and if I get back from the store and everything is great and I can move on from this then then by all means you will have done a huge favor to me just by not deleting these two episodes your app if you’re using an app probably automatically deletes the files after you download them and streaming what not but if you could do me a huge favor and eventually I will be monetizing this in in incentivizing this meaning that I will find ways to pay people to maintain copies of my work but for now it’s a gift to you a free not fully polished not fully high-resolution version but on the second episode of there will be the full album in its rough mix form for your listening listening pleasure hopefully not displeasure but if you could at least hang on to that for me as a favor then we I know that all this work will not have been in vain if anything happens to me and then like oh yeah then disappears album didn’t get officially released album doesn’t exist no one knows it no one can find it whatever you have a copy of it now if you save the part 2 of the series cuz part one is just going to be the half of the album’s behind the tracks commentary and in reading and lyrics in in part 2 will be the second half of exactly that plus the full album at the end so these files are going to be slightly bigger than normal apologize for that but your again do me a huge favor so yeah with that said this is for the remainder this episode next episode you’re going to be hearing my commentary on this new album that I am about to officially release and this is the sort of pre-release secret exclusive sharing of the the material with my my podcast listener so thank you again for bearing with me and all this madness and I hope you enjoy this series and I will be continuing to publish episodes from the road and you can wish me luck on all of those Adventures out there now bringing the spirit of raw loud wild chaotic Liberation out into that that sector the punks X are so all right with us said enjoy thank you. Mistake Okay so sexorcism the tantric Opera the album recruited a title track sexorcism tantric Opera it is track number 7 we will get to it and sequence but this is sort of a another desperate Poor Man’s maneuver to Lodge this medicine into the Matrix and when this witness album is Is mastered and mixed and officially licensed and distributed into the into the actual through the publishing through the digital Distributors he’ll get it into the main centralized networks for this to be Primetime and accessible to anyone on the web what not that’s really that is a huge form of validation for for my work and the probability of me getting picked up in the I want my money back up and say that sexism the tantric Opera is the name that I came up with for what is now a series of short documentary films most of them featuring music and very prominently music as the driving force that is the Shakti that produces the induces the dance and makes the the medicine work happened it it’s it’s it’s it’s not guaranteed that then I’m going to win any awards or get into the Sundance Festival or anyting with this material and again it could be just completely lost last time so one way that I can hack the Matrix is to put out an album and album is for less than $100 through CD Baby bless their hearts and by all means if your musician you should be listening to the DIY musician podcast which is your beautiful podcast that I love and adore but so now for after all of those all of those years of frustrated desire female for musicians to ever have any actual recordings of it work let alone distribution the recordings you know now where the time where for less than a hundred bucks you can take your work and you can upload it and you can pay to have it be haven’t have the barcode haven’t get the the legal processing in the publishing and all of the rights and all the thing everything all of that extremely the width of the Witchcraft you know that it is the sort of tradecraft where all those middle people had all of that Paris attack power now they’ve I wouldn’t say it’s not cutting out to the middle people in that process so much it’s just because of Technology it’s been streamline so what I can do what what I can’t do is like very sustainably pray for the miracle that I get a lot of recognition for my video projects that is just not efficient to tip to try to to try to pray for that but what is efficient is to say okay well I can take this title this exorcism Itachi Opera I can make it into a title track of an album I can make it an album title and if I Lodge that material into the music industry then it will never go away I can die I can disappear all of my Works can can dissolve into nothingness and I have some guarantee that this the gods of the music industry will forever be archiving this material it becomes Immortal in that way so it’s it’s just it’s to me it was a tactic to adapt this this into into an album and really it’s been a bunch of scraggly as singles that have come through over the last couple of years since the first two albums were released I released both two albums I think on the same day Earth Day 2016 I was blessed while living at the at the queendom with magic fucking pussy and her to previous podcast episodes where I go into the behind the albums on those two and I go into the tracks I do exactly what I’m about to do right now but since those those albums released you know the creative Inspirations and in N pockets of death of Howard call free time but but the pocket the gorilla time that I’ve been able to put into tracking it’s put in kind of a hodgepodge of of tracks and so now we know based on the pressure that I’m under I’m saying okay I’m going to I’ve got to do this tactical thing and I’ve got to put these tracks out there so I’m going to do this album I’m going to give it the same title as the as the documentary series title and of course really these tracks are all always kind of weaving in and out of the soundtracks at my films anyway like I’m basically my own I’m doing my own scores for my own works and so is very complimentary in that sense as well but this is my opportunity to to talk about the intentionality and to give the the companion manual for navigating the tracks of this album so first I will just give the titles won by one and then I will go into each one of them and what they mean and and what they’re trying to say and how to best interact with them as an application by spiritual app musical spiritual app if you will so track number 1 ohm namah shivaya track number 2 feminist pornstars track number three you don’t need a man track number for math Archie track number 5 Enjoy the Silence track number six psychedelic goddess worship track number seven sexorcism the tantric Opera track number 8 holistic debauchery so sounds like a typical Friday night with me a handful of mushrooms and what I’m affectionately calling my new pick your poison mind I call it hard Coco like hot cocoa but hard cocoa and I’m mixing tequila which is a paleo friendly agave-based non grain alcohol mixing that with raw organic powdered cacao and Stevia and organic almond milk and creating kind of like a of liquor is a Paleo non sugar low to no carb liquor with this beautiful cacao ceremony effective opening part very very wide and Anna as you can tell opening my fucking mouth too so you know if you don’t like me hear my voice like stick your nipple on my mouth or something to show me up if you like or whatever else you got I’ll take it for the mouth is open My Heart is Open the hard Cacao is flowing I’m going to toast on the microphone right now with my jar of hard cacao take a sit I would love to be licking that off of your whatever right now okay back to business so om namah shivaya the most cliche quintessential Hindu Tantra Mantra of Devotion to Lord Shiva who you we should all know and love but I’m just going to go straight from the wiki Wikipedia here home to my shivaya is one of the most popular Hindu mantras means salutations to the auspicious one or adoration to Lord Shiva I’m just picking and choosing a bit here from the Wikipedia here this Mantra is repeated verbally or mentally drawing the mind in upon itself to Lord shiva’s infant all-pervasive presence okay now I have a place in my heart for Shiva witch it should come as no surprise that as an intercom Punk who is in Rebellion against all things patriarchal and religion I have a hard time I was it’s been easier for me to seek the goddess then to seek God in in in in even the Eastern form and Eastern forms Shiva was a soft sell to me because he’s such a fucking punk and then he’s such a baby right he is some people say you know I want to get ripped like Jesus but really you know Shiva put Jesus to shame and he and he’s a dancer and that is so important he’s a pothead he’s a weed smoking I wouldn’t it’s borderline womanizing let’s be careful about that but in all of the different stories about his his sexual exploits with women let’s hopefully giving the benefit of the doubt and you know he’s he’s definitely a Playboy he’s the fucking spiritual Playboy par excellence and he’s ripped and he smokes weed and everybody loves him and in everyone worships his cock because the Shiva lingam is in no uncertain terms and not in no hidden in plain sight we’re talking about the the very the quintessence of worshipping the the male genitalia and it’s sacred form here so in its Cosmic form in Union with with it was often called the lingam Yoni so I’m just really right now off the cuff just this is the this is not the most devotional way of speaking about Lord Shiva course but I think he would he would be with me and understand and really what all of these archetypal beings are is there just opportunities are invitations for I think each of us those who are seeking a masculine and divine masculine archetypes a heroic figure if it’s very much like a super heroic archetype is it that that is to be aspired to and for me again why it’s been like a softer cell for me to 210 sing his name and sing the name of this archetype is that he’s basically represents a lot of what I hold here you know and so yeah that should come as no surprise now the reason that I would say this came into my my field of course I said in a previous episode on when I did the the track psionic fumigation that was the first dabbling that I did with invocational mantras for the Divine masculine and it has the proof’s in the pudding and there’s a there’s a lot of power in that that I discovered and with this with Omniverse shivaya it was not a practice that I had of sitting around and doing singing this Mantra repeating this mantra for my own daily connection to the Divine masculine I guess you could say I could kind of take it or leave it not to be not to be rude but I think with all the mantras that they come into my life I I I don’t force them I don’t necessarily think they come in at the right time from the right source for the right purpose and and it’s not just you know willingly I would say there’s a reason for it so there’s a very beautiful backstory to why and how I started to get romanced with Shiva and with his Mantra and it was that sound well this is kind of tarantino-esque the way I’m going to deliver the story but it kind of looks that all goes back to a I think it was Valentine’s Day probably 2016 when I had a Skype date that I was ghosted on and and stood up for and I was so thrown off balance by that that I snapped and I did something that I never thought I’d be capable of doing which was to go on a a sort of global campaign to solicit women from all over the world on OkCupid and sort of build this Amalgamated outsourced cumulative rebound validation effect coming from like okay fine you know that the woman who who I trusted to do good care with my heart and soul on Valentine’s Day even when not in the same city but we could have we know we were going to just have a Skype they just talk and it was like totally flaked on so course you know I felt like I felt like a doormat or not even doormat and I felt like I just fell through the floor of reality when that happen and I had this rebound thing so I started saying okay fucking I’m going to see what it feels like to get validation from hitting up women from all over the world and maybe I’ll find you know humbler sweeter more attentive more appreciative maybe even more impoverished people who are going to like say hey this is I mean maybe I’m missing out on some economic Arbitrage here with like relate love and relationships and maybe there’s like people in the world who were like it would be that I would be there fucking like Cinderella you know I will be there Disney Dream Come True Ultimate Fantasy and maybe they would give me the time of day and maybe they wouldn’t flake on me and I would get validated and but with being trying to be careful not to exploit or abused or manipulate or or hurt or harm them but I did that that’s a huge Karma krys could I you know and and also just seems like he’ll he’ll worthless and useless why would I try to develop a long-term distance relationships whatever but now I was in a frenzy I was mad I wasn’t saying I was crushed you know how it goes and so I just said fuck it and so I went on this campaign and then I started blasting out messages searching for women all over the world continents all over the fucking world and I thought you know whoever I’m panning for gold here and I’m going to be very meditative in this process and whoever I shake out of this whoever shows up you know they were meant to be because I talk like this is hundreds of messages people all over the world you know we’ll see what we’ll see what happens so low and behold it came down to a handful of some of the most beautiful and exquisite Souls that I’ve ever met in my life so again it’s the dumbest thing of like you never know it’s neither fortunate or unfortunate when something happens and you know you got to wait for the bigger picture to unfold so I can now look that woman who stood me up for a Skype date in the eye and if she would allow me to give her a big wet sloppy kiss and thank her so much for creating a space for me to do this crazy wild thing because it opened up these new experiences and it and it connected me with these new people who work for my teachers you know all women are my teachers and and sometimes vice-versa but certainly I’m always learning from him and I don’t know if they’re like tiny for a fever but I’m always learning for women and so the one that is the Catalyst for this only way she’ll never see if I attract she was a nineteen-year-old Bangladesh Bangladeshi young woman who lived in the middle of a war zone between Hindus and Muslims mostly Muslim extreme terroristic violence having bombs going off people dying melee Carnage in the streets and she’s talking to me about how we’re talking about the Goddess were talking about how she loves to wear her sarees and we’re talking about the aspirations she has and how she can’t the difficulty that she has getting to class to go to class because of all the terrorism happening around here and it’s like okay this is humbling to any of the women who have encountered in my immediate context to have for whatever reason been flaky or distracted or insincere or looking over my shoulder because I’m have enough money or whatever it is like it’s like that at all evaporates when you come I’m going to say you and I come into contact with Truly Deeply humbling women who are in the fucking trenches of patriarchy of these deep deep levels it just makes me look at everyone who was operating on a more frivolous level and it just like whatever attachment I had to them proof if I can get some generated so this woman is like able to steal and it while I I it was easy to fall in love with her through the internet and the dialogues we had it’s just I I have it saved this is us will be part of my archives because this is so epic I mean the most fucking romantic Tyler of my life you know coming from this and in another few other women from other parts of the world but this International exploration this one this one gal here if you know she really humbled me and that the dreams she had you know God is temples and restoring the the goddess of for traditions in and creating peace and she wanted to rescue dogs and she loves dogs and so we talked about how she could be training dogs and have a animal animal sanctuary in all these things so this is the de magic of Romancing are dreaming up all the stuff but she was really suffering and really distraught and really struggling and I wish that you could be with me you know she was missing me or she was starting to and I would say this is where it gets dangerous cuz you know people will start to addicted and you got to be careful will you promise in in in your now I say I noticed that she is found healthy love and relationships are in her own enter run zip code so she’s not waiting for me by any means she’s not like I didn’t break her heart or anyting like leaving her on and I certainly don’t have the means to like support her and be her around mail-order husband or anyting but what I was able to do is make an authentic connection to talk with her and have an understanding with her and so the best thing I could do for her giving her sick and her circumstances and I were or are distances I said okay you know what I’m going to make a track for you that’s going to be the thing that you can always rely on to feel not just my love but the did the love of the Divine masculine that’s the promise of Shiva the promise of having this archetype there is that you can say the names you can invoke the names and you can have his spirits appear to you and be present for you and to love you and to be to be your your consort working for it to be a sexy fucking concert I mean a dead fucking body a dead-stick rotting and bleeding the course of that fucking expression it’s not it’s it’s not just pretty morbid and it’s not very empowering and it’s not very it’s not very juicy you know if he’s so is Shiva is very fucking juicy this guy is dancing is guys beating the drums is guys smoking fucking doobies you know he said he’s in love with the clicker goddesses all the goddesses are fucking fighting over him you know this is a way juice your guy to have in your prayers in to have his part of your erotic development and a part of your your sexual Spiritual Development so. That’s what time she is all about like having your fucking cake and eating it too thank you very much so so I invoke that archetype for her in a crate this track for her and I and I just think about will how can I how can I really afford her like she’s not really you know she’s going to Tantra school you know she’s not she’s trying to like just kidding I don’t know of engineering job or just get skip to get a fucking paying job and if she’s not doing the esoteric Sanskrit studies whatnot so I’m just trying to like be there for her say okay look this is something that I think will be helpful for you whether you know no matter what happens between me and her she can always you know drop on this archetype she can always feel this love here it is it’s it’s it’s open source public resource love that is Shiva so so she was my shoe is my best attempt to encapsulate that Essence in my words and here goes and now so in the form that you can hear the track you’ll hear my bowfin my counterpart in this music sufiyana who is my scholar of Sanskrit my true goddess devotee and embodiment who has been in and out of various tracks over the years and so she provides the female voice to this so when I say it’s like a there’s like a call and answer thing going on in the first in the verses here it goes so from my voice I say from my Shiva and she says your inner God and I say to your Shakti and she says my inner goddess and I say I will support you and she says please support me and I say when you need me and I need and she says I need you now so it sounds like this from our God to yours support you to please support me when you need when you need when you need me so that’s the dialogue between Shiva Shakti I’m saying for my Shiva to your Shakti I will support you when you need me she says your inner God that’s Shiva my inner goddess has Shakti please support me I need you now I see in the next iteration of ruse from my Shiva to your Shakti I take your pain away please take my pain away she s with Divine Healing I say and she says with your love and that the if you see what I did there that idea is it with Divine Healing and she says with your love that is Divine Healing is love love is the painting if you have it 2/8 can be reduced to 1/4 it is that right if somebody help me out here so so moving right along the chant goes into the chant om namah shivaya om namah shivaya and we’re saying the devotional terms going down giving thanks appreciation to Lord Shiva and then it gets into the deep the deeper kind of more intense part of the track and I’m saying close your eyes wherever you are take a deep breath feel my hands on your heart I hold you close from behind warmth from my breath send warmth from my breath send shivers down your spine and goes through a couple more verses and choruses and then the next Serta Bridge here goes into I turn you around look into your eyes Kundalini awaken see your smile grows wide in the moments when you feel alone remember our dance is your Eternal home so it’s pretty self-explanatory nothing super mystical there but the idea is that there are a lot of lonely women out there and not just women I don’t need to get this doesn’t need to be gendered anyway but in the context of where this came about and I would my intent was with this young woman was to say you know whatever your boyfriend did that your vengeful about that you’re having trouble forgiving and forgetting and moving on from whatever your next boyfriend may do that is unsatisfactory or disappointing however I may succeed or fail in loving you you know all of these feeble and frail and body men in your life they really will never hold a candle to this broader archetypal Essence which is the the ideal that we’ve constructed of what we believe is like infinite unconditional beautiful masculine love and they say they created hell of a hunk you know to to to make that easy on the eyes to do so lucky bastards always Hindu people who have Shiva to look up to is there you know is there a non-acidic very ecstatic very and body Very sensual very erotic very musical very psychedelic yeah I love interest so nice I feel like that is the red Tantra you’re not feeling left out in that department while I’m being stimulated and everybody is being stimulated sexually and everyone is feeling a part of a closed circuit that is meeting everyone’s needs in in and there’s no favoritism there’s no hierarchy the really so Ben and if anything I am as the man I’m on my back and that is what time trick Kali worshipping actual full fully pornographic and I hesitate to use that word was fully glorious erotic depictions of the circuitry of how this stuff works so if it’s if you’re not approve any 3 I mean if you’re not so sexually stunted then you would just understand that these icons are just road maps to the spiritual terrain of understanding the energetics of Shiva Shakti god goddess energy so we’re designing with that and we’re creating a maximum hydraulic energy flows in in in a way that is very egalitarian actually inhibits the growth of the ego and that sense of so-and-so I’ve experienced this in not that exact formation but that’s why I aspire to be a porn director so that I can I can work with people who are very comfortable taking Direction and are not going to lose their minds and so I actually had this conversation today they’re what makes me not a cult leader and what prevents me from ever becoming a cult leader is this one fundamental thing right but I have to study cold it is to know how not to be a quote later cuz otherwise I would just be cranking out so much Kool-Aid day Kool-Aid would have to invent a time to punch flavor you know I got to be sponsored by Kool-Aid the Kool-Aid man oh yeah it would have it I make my own Kool-Aid Man Township anyway after dark okay I wanted how they’ve not sued like I have all of the libelous memes and they feel bad for the Kool-Aid guy I didn’t fucking poisonous people man I don’t mean to be making fun of them and I really got to get serious about not making a joke out of the people who died in the massacre Crazy Eights it’s it’s it’s public domain now to make a joke to either the expression people say don’t drink the Kool-Aid it’s because people at Jonestown were by a charismatic cult leader who was it was an extremely right with it skips a generation maybe but that’s how memes get formed yes so I mean that’s how they sort of deprecated the roots and you say things that we don’t know how does the reason we’re numb it so they don’t drink the Kool-Aid means don’t consent to a groupthink. Virus that makes mass suicide be acceptable and so they poisoned the Kool-Aid punch and that’s how everyone can scented make give it to their kids and everyone is like this is fine and some people try to protest and they were silenced and some people try to run away and it was a nightmare and it was absolutely what I would I must not allow myself to become as a priest that uses sexual mind manipulation and coercive tactics to trade love and affection attention and orgasm for 4 unquestioning devotion into the point of suicide so that that’s the extreme case that that we that is a litmus test for if you were going down that slippery slope but I actually tend to want to study the mental illness of sociopath sociopathy narcissism and I would like to consider myself a benign I’m the benign narcissist I know that that is a character flaw that I am not how we going to like defeat by doing the past limitations as many times that night and I’m going to roll with it and I’m going to say yeah I will be like Howard Stern and I will be I’m going to if I’m going to be this personality I’m going to make a bonsai tree out of my own ego if I can and have other people help in the process but but things going going back to the to the cult thing and what me what gives me the authority to design this orgasmic Orchestra what why and how do you not just become a colder than soy everyone you meet is basically in that on that game board now how am I going to manipulate you to be in this in this position that I would like you to be in to fulfill my fantasy of engineering all this town truck stuff and and if I’m if I’m this is well that’s spit out the Kool-Aid don’t swallow I think what we’ll get to that for sure that’s going to be a we’re going to get to that but can’t forget that we’ll save that for the for the most triumphant moment the climax is when we’re going to use that it’s so precious now after it’s been built up so ever since a joke that’s going about 2 it’s going to explain come on your face it’s going to come on yesterday and you’re going to beg for it and so hits is it is I’ve had people beg me to come in the third eye and it was hard to resist but this is going to be almost as good as that sharing you this one liner inside joke and just a minute but to wrap up this sort of dark out thing that we were doing with the coal thing is that it how do you know how do I hedge against being the creepiest man every like people think that Barney the purple dinosaur because he and forgive me if I’m butchering the facts here but as far as I know he’s doing what I considered to be taboos for me which is charging women money to have sexual penetrative intercourse with them above all without protection and making that into a to me that’s not a scalable business model and you can ask your doctor wife but Barney I mean I get it and I get that that’s the love thing being cultivated generated so I think I don’t know whether I consider that good pressure bad press for modern Neo Tantra or what not but I’d love to have them on the podcast I’m sure it’s going to happen and I can’t say that I was a fan of the art form of Barney the purple dinosaur but but but I would love to get to the full story and also talked about the ethics and this medical the medical duty of care that comes with sexual and pinch of intercourse with anybody so anyway that’s the sad but who were talking about okay what if you were intrigued and maybe turned on by me talking about these erotic circuit boards then you also have to be somewhat red-flagged and starting to cringe and go where how old is this get arranged in what are the incentives and how do you how do you manage the Eagles and how do you who’s in charge it’s like you can’t it’s a scary thing but you wouldn’t work but that’s why when I went when I say what I realized for me the aha moment in my sexual career was that if I want to have out-of-the-box sex I have to pay lots of money for it from professionals who have trained her nervous system to do theater performance of sexuality as escorts or as Dom’s or as porn performers because they’re good sports they’re not spoil Sports about any of the stuff for the most part if they’re treated well and respected and then contracts are here too and they know what they’re getting into and hopefully they’ve matured and hopefully their brain has developed to its full capacity IE the age that it takes to actually I don’t say that to you exactly so you better know there’s a dimension of Ethics when it comes to harvesting teenagers for your for whatever Annette and I have had some of the best sex in my life as a 30 year old being fucked up fucked senseless by teenager in a row in a monogamous relationship and I will I will tell you that it’s it some it was worth the daddy issues that I had to deal with it was worth reparenting her and it was worth every bit of emotional kind of awkwardness that there wasn’t some of the an Amex because she was such a good full spirited Prime late night it was funny cuz I was like I want to settle you down and basically like I could teach your making a kid with ADHD sit in class is like no she wants to fuck wildly she wants you to perform more than you possibly ever could even at 30 and and she and she is not she doesn’t need these esoteric practices too heavy multi-orgasmic she’s fucking coming or brains out like so hard and I and I couldn’t sit her down the aisle still enough to do any of the practices that I thought were going to be so enlightening and went in the great thing is is it a fuck it like it is certain point you just say no guru there’s a song about it’s like no guru no no scripture No play just in the Dow of the thing so anyway so that’s a side note to say there is a sacred place for adult for fully mature brain develop adults to be having sex with teenagers and and I know that it can be done because I’ve done it but it also takes you can’t just treat them like a commodity please you got to you got to think about pedagogy Nikki learned from the person that you’re teaching teaches you things to like a circle so then so we’re talking about these ethics and where I wanted to just close that point about how I do my best to not be a cult leader I thought I figured it out pretty simply and correct me if I’m wrong but basically it’s it’s I dare you to to indict me for the the criminal and civil liability of misconduct for for for structuring a certain way so this is how I this is this is very simple as this is like this I said that this is a different the difference from a cult leader is that I’m a porn director I pay women to be directed and then I pay whoever I want to I will I will I will choose performers who I resonate with for whatever we would like to do together to make beautiful art and and I will compensate them and pay them to take time out of their lives to be a part of my design and to be directed by me they’re not paying me for healing for enlightenment for direction for guidance and I’m directing them and Meghan gratifying myself and taking their money in convincing mind fucking them and taking more of their money and more than money until they don’t talk to their friends because of and that’s how Colts are basically extractive from their students the colors are extracting from their devotees the difference is how many colors do you know that actually give their devotees money I will pay you oh now I’m making corned a porn director and I am more karmically correct than the fucking Guru who is fucking having people kiss his feet and take your money so who would have thought that the corn directors were the most enlightening Yogi’s to ever attempt to be divine and I have my favorites and I’m a fan of some of them I want I want to see the names but right now but that cuz I wouldn’t want to leave any out you know what I mean bless you all for paying people to direct them into your Twisted fucking fantasies and giving them that dignity like hats of their not wondering about it cuz there’s that was having a conversation today it’s like a buyer’s remorse if I say to you I’m just saying if you remember when you had to if you were old enough to know that there was a day when when when your allowance equals one CD for $15 so humorous if you never had experience this is important I think this is important teaching is important teachable moment is that is that and I don’t want to be today. Take care no man’s planning anything in them to have fun here but this is like this is this is late so here’s the funny thing though you think about I remember what it was like when I had to convince myself that amusing that a CD that fucking sucked was actually good because I paid money for it and I would not let myself suffer the indignity of having made a mistake so I was in a state of denial and delusion so so so feeling this isn’t meditation okay everybody think of something that you paid money for that you discovered was in the zoo is suboptimal and you used mental gymnastics to convince yourself that you actually liked it even though you knew deeply that you didn’t like it but it was called buyer’s remorse it was called the sunk cost fallacy of sunk cost fallacy is that because you invested something into this you have to continue beyond the point of no return because you can’t live with yourself other ways so that is this Twisted perverse placebo effect that happens when it’s like I went to the sex guru to get healed and he said for 9999 I would get here and but I but I could also upsell to the bonus extra double healing deluxe super Cosmic Crystal trademark excetera right thing and try before you buy money back guarantee accessories that you’re all of his legal he’s in fine print all the stuff but there is but that’s where it is we’re expecting to have some result that you paid money for and you will question whether or not okay did I was a hole in my heel did I pay enough money to pay more and some money and it is it distorts things and you did it it did contaminated in a way for that so I’m skeptical that I can be done right in that sense and that’s just me so what I say let’s work in the garden together my time equals your time and now we’re planting trees equals an hour of Yoni massage your prostate massage and therefore it’s a flat equal everybody has the same it’s his first come first serve you know and orgasms for work shirts that was my hand jobs for Humanity and helping a tree with two or so you’ll see it yeah it’s a white paper was written so is he ever gets faster so so that’s how I’m not going to be a cult leader is that I’m not going to charge people money to be Pawns in my game of or are you going to be players in my Game of Thrones Township Township twister you will get paid handsomely to be in my theater my game of Township twister and you can quit you can get any time you know that’s that’s that’s the thing to you won’t be like oh if I walk away now you know that then where I’m not like what I paid for I’m I’m already invested so much forever so so many different dynamics of of incentivization happening in this thing is so anyway that that was I think it is important to lay that out and and this is probably the first time I’ve articulated it on the podcast but I just was having this conversation today with this answer the CD metaphor thing where it’s like you know it did that it’s it’s a problem that way so so that’s I will not be extracting money from people in that in that way I’d rather pay them to be in my in my Productions and feel better about it that way so getting back to the fun stuff in the production itself so imagining that that would be the way from now on where I’m like if you want to that’s basically what I just described about that circuit of three people as a minimum to starting point is like that is the that is first base now you know that’s first base because getting into the circuitry of actual intercourse that’s where it required that’s where we get into the medical the medical responsibilities aspects and we get into more of the karmic sharing we’re really swapping scum he’s on an astral level at that point more so than if it’s an outercourse thing and you can’t go back once you know I don’t want to sound like a prepaid only sound like a six- future but but they were right about this mean you’re not wrong about everything they’ve had no sex for anybody ever. Is not the solution to people having sexually transmitted demons running rampant all over the place and it’s about making them your friends and making them work for you not against you and making them expose themselves properly and in you know where it’s not a pure realm we are not going to be perfectly protected in fear we can strive for that and we can use Kundalini and Prana and mantras and all of our medicines in purgatives and things to create a cleaner vessel to make more harmonious more resonance more signal-to-noise ratio and that is what to me this is all about and why we are missing out so badly to not be like I see this if God is wanted you got it for not created to nipples I can’t suck both nipples at the same time I tried some women I can do it on I’ve done it and you can do it some women is possible but for the most part so what does that mean what are you do do you limit God or do you just find someone else to be on the left or right side of you you know what is the big deal so when I think about this math equation how many erotic how many out of the box meaning not really the selective like subjective nuanced little erogenous zones that people get overtime in our lives but the out-of-the-box everybody is wired this way count how many erogenous zones you have and how what is the minimum number of mouse penis and genitals or fingers are human appendages required to simultaneously stimulate all those places it’s more than one person I can tell you that much you know so I just want us to start there and be creative in 2N to learn how to understand that we’re missing out and we should be wanting to gamify maximizing human potential for orgasmic pleasure because that is exorcism orgasm equals exorcism in some cultures who are Les Les Mis Sara Lee poetic about the floury discourse of symbols about sex life like a Latin American Shaman is said about her sexuality in the end in her how she explained why monogamous marriage was not really a thing in a culture that permitted extramarital sex and it was that in her mind and I am not going to say her name to cool her but I will say to paraphrase the essence of this wisdom is that to her mind it was just like an orgasm is like taking out the trash and that is not that’s not to say that it is mundane or a chore it is that it is a responsibility of hygiene in your household of your body Temple you need to have orgasms they need to be fulfilling need to get the job done and that is the exorcism aspect of it so the howling screeching all of these things that are considered that witches were burned forming figli sounds that those are the sounds of actual Holiness the set of holy the sound of Holiness is a woman’s orgasm and so let’s make those come more abundantly and let’s utilize map map the erogenous zones out of the box and then map the additional ones that are my favorite song and when you talk to me like this and this certain place I’m in the back of my head there whatever and then everyone has their own map so we can learn each other’s maps and if you don’t know your own map then you can ask people to help you there’s people who would love to lick and kiss and touch you and head to toe to find and explore you and and from a breasted state of consciousness D nice and yes I like to will you bring out the best in me that’s all I think that’s all you guys add that I can’t top that is the way to end so then really that was we didn’t even know that we put the icing on the motherfuking cake by saying you bring out the Best in Me so there was a documentary about at the peak of my desire to become a a rock star in the the crust Punk metal genre grindcore all that fun stuff I was studying that I wanted to understand and clock the music industry so I was watching every documentary I could find understanding music marketing and all the stuff and then I found this great documentary about about Jimi Hendrix and and I believe it was his fiance at a time who later became his wife if I remember correctly and she was talking about the time where he was building momentum and getting lots of gigs but still underground and she said something that stuck with me forever and if this moment which is it basically the hidden tension was used turn Express yeah we we all knew he was going to get sign or we all knew that you was going to take off he was going to blow up and so she said it was just about if someone puts put the icing on the motherfuking cake you know and I know and I felt that we we’re ready for that and we did some we had some we had some ice and get put on a motherfuking cake we did you get you always want more but I look back and I don’t think we could handle more so we got what we got and now I’m on a different I have a different cake I have a different cake mix and I don’t know if it’s that time I don’t know if it’s time to put the icing on the cake or not yeah I don’t know I mean the cake it’s getting cold she heard it mean if you’d if anyone has icing out there can it please be stevia-sweetened go Steven Johnson I don’t know how to hack them will work on that today I know it’s actually what I heard is that it’s a weird additive that they used to cut it because it’s so super sweet that you would basically died of sweetness if you didn’t like the step on it with some other things so I think that’s why I love growing Stevia and having a leaf to munch on and put in the tea because then you know is nothing else being put into it and it’s just as powerful you don’t really need to if you had the the live leaves one leaf enough will be enough to knock your head off for an hour so yeah I know on that snow yeah we’re going to put this devious fresh leave puree motherfuking icing on the cake I will put the icing on my own motherfuking cake that reminds me in 1 minute I just when I thought we couldn’t go out with a bigger bang this is going to be at because there was a a ritual ceremonial I called we called apart emoni where was the Psychedelic birthday party and we smeared cake all over each other and had to basically devour for the birthday gal of her own cake and it was just nipples and asses and I wanted to be in after from there I was my breasts Elsa. Playing for sure that brother and brother best me for sure but that when I got to put the icing on cake my damn self so don’t let anyone fucking tell you that you’re not none of me if you feel like it I mean I think we’re done I just can’t I’m going to fucking drop my phone right now when I might drop my phone on the couch citizen of the count but oh shit it’s next level add icy Cipher geise that’s going to have some cake with that icing okay thank you for listening to the touch upon podcast please go to www.drudgereport.com and cook on the Donate button to help support the show in addition is to see me and if you want a podcast for donations will help establish permaculture goddess temples every bite ecological employment for single mothers Please Subscribe and share your favorite episodes if you have questions or comments feel free to leave a voicemail at 818-275-1593 or email been at Tantra Punk. Metal, Hardcore, Punk, and Bitcoin with Peter McCormack TPP181

Play

In this episode I’m joined by my new brother in metal, Peter McCormack, host of the What Bitcoin Did podcast. His podcast is one of my top favs in the crypto space and it’s been awesome hearing him drop references to his roots in same underground music scenes that that I’ve grown up in.

He shares about his personal journey of political awakening through the messages in the lyrics of some of his favorite bands and how he got into crypto and podcasting. I was deeply moved by his heart wrenching story of having to be an outlaw to aquire Bitcoin so he could help his ailed mother by purchasing contraband natural herbal medicine.

We discuss the origins of Bitcoin partially being in BitTorrent and how Metallica’s lawsuit against Napster may have been a key catalyst to the evolution of crypto-currency.

We also talk shop about some of our favorite bands, his intentions for wearing a Master of Puppets shirt to the SEC, the future of crypto use-cases for bands and artists, the do-it-yourself spirit, the solidarity among hardcore fans of the 80s and 90s, the Proof of Keys event, and much more.

Com and our journey together will begin podcast episode number 181 and I’m being joined by Peter McCormick of the what Bitcoin did podcast and that’s a very interesting set of synchronicities that brought us together in this moment mainly that of all of the cryptocurrency commentators and podcast this and thought leaders that I’ve come across I only very few have really bridge the gap in my life between the politics and the the energy and the Rage of punk rock and hardcore and metal and so is a breath of fresh air when I heard Peter talk about it and start checking out some of his some of his post and what not and and realize that there is definitely some Synergy to talk about the the relevance of these Underground Music cultures and movements in and how how that has informed the politics of technology and how there’s now opportunities for 4 for an interesting interchange of of more of the geek year folks with in the technology development seeing and in some of the more like I’m Nan not as technical folks but people that have same ethics of Liberation and empowerment and a lot of those memes have been have been cultured in in the underground music scene since it’s just a great topic to discuss I’m really excited about it and with that said I’ll just say Peter please tell us, about your personal story how you evolved how you got into metal crypto and everything interesting along it was an easy decision cuz Uncle very few friends left into the Sky music is miso any chance to talk about Punk Ogle meso is it was a pleasure say thank you for that my journey to Ponca I told you about this before was very quick quick migration through a team Soo to discover in the bank by assets so the first metal song I got into Europe The Final Countdown absolutely love that song and my dad is going out and pull me to Europe album back in the day when you had the cassettes your you remember that so I used to listen to the album relentlessly and I was like who these guys with long hair I’ve been discovered Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet dream I had a poster of tempests and a poster of Jon Bon Jovi next to each other both with full makeup long hair and I was like man this stuff is amazing so I had a very short. Of time as a Glam rocker but then my first Iron Maiden song and quickly kind of went through a few of Maiden albums I think it was like Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son of the Seventh Son and then Konig already deep into remember no prayer for the dying love for the album Number 1 in the UK and then from there I started watching hip Angus bull and discuss Guns N Roses Guns N Roses with a massive deal for me cuz that was about the age where I was able still going to come see us and they ended up releasing the usual Lucien albums so I ended up kind to Milton Keynes to wash my best console which was Guns N Roses the cult Soul Asylum in The Blind Melon No Rain by Blind Melon do they were kind of moron the alternative site is incorrectly it wasn’t that dress you everything because the first time I saw her alive so he kind of never forgot that I just kind of rushed and they came out so loving that and then I was watching Headbangers ball on why hasn’t came on and they have this song punishment with a wheel jumping over the Brooklyn Bridge and I was like what the hell is this is kind of metal but this is but they’re not dressed like messages and I wish I’d become a skateboarder in the times I was wearing kind of what would you say like she knows I have to chain belt with the wallet over in like baggy t-shirt so I wasn’t dressing like a melon but listen to metal when does hardcore think I’m in the wrong and it was like these people dressed like me and then listen to a full of mess with this kind of a little bit ratty so it’s a little bit cooler and I was kind of like just discovered like Cypress Hill on onyx and House of Payne all this kind of stuff converged at one time and I felt like you could be a meth lab but be kind of cool to the same time and then yeah then I went deep into hardcore I never left if I tell you what happened with Hulk off of me I was quite interesting was the next song I had a bye bye has over this song Shades of Grey and it opens with there is no black and there is no white and all well that’s only Shades of Grey no racism fuck racism you know and then when she still going for that music and go to these messages about like positivity and you know I know discrimination and I was like this is cool like the other stuff I listen to it like me listen to Guns N Roses song about taking drugs and partying to attach myself to the lyrics but then I was listen to buy a house and it was all kind of like messages and positivity and I can get behind some of the messages are bit over-the-top right but from there then I discovered Earth Crisis and that was like a really big deal for me cuz that was like the next step. I never managed to do the whole stretch think I kind of wanted to but might have a beer but I was told he would then message right like even though it wasn’t straight edge I totally got the message I told you going to see and understand what they would do in you know I’d come down to lunch my first one the first times I was about to go to London and we have this skateboard shop income and Garfunkel Slam City skates I went in there and the dude with the downstairs talk what you got is like if you heard of prices is like even need this in your life and he gave me a couple of The Firestorm EP I like if you know of Crisis like everyone annoys us a song as far as I know you know what it was I had my Discman members that used to jump you have to be really steal to listen to the next in kept jumping so so I was like yeah I was like I was in the hog who I was until the straight-edge I listen to the skate music not so much the punk and hardcore like I was never really Gorilla Biscuits never really cro-mags although it was all kind of more like by Isaac snapcase Integrity of Crisis 25 to Life sick of it like in the next wave who came through and yeah I never stopped listen to Listen to I listen to today by listen to the motive and listen to Summer hits of genres like I’d really like some of that moved at school like I like I love Norma Jean Architects the song I’d like anything which is methyl pump meso hog whole mess will that that’s me and yeah I guess you were so you see the crossover to print 7 and I guess I kind of always been this how do I put it without sound like an idiot like a middle-class and a kiss right like I mean I watch hard they put me into a good school gave me everything I could possibly want you know we didn’t have a lot of luxury the weirdest solid upbringing so I was you know I was going to school while surrounded by Rich Kids and kids you know it’s kind of fell a little bit of felt like I was trying to read Noam Chomsky and get into Noam Chomsky and struggled but I did read a lot of jumping the Injustice is always kind of I don’t know sometimes I’m a Fool maybe I’m I’m a bit too much of a socialist which of the Libertarians and Bitcoin hey but I’ve always felt like this in justices I wish I could do them all to help and I was like to be a little bit Anna kiss the rebel you know if I got my hands tattoos you know if I go to a meeting I’m going in there with my child so I went to the SEC interview has to pay is in my Metallica t-shirt like the most things in my car I want to stick two fingers up the system by Carnival line but then. Came from under privileged background or anything I just think it cost me something inside of me but I definitely see that hole you know the similarities between crypto anarchism in hardcore punk awesome yeah me too but that’s why I feel like it’s a I have the same same feelings and thoughts about the that the tension between libertarianism in an anarcho-capitalist and then the the more socialist more communal kind of collectivist sometimes even I would just I guess it’s probably the influence of Marxism and anarchism in the the politics of Street Punk and even the metal bands no talking about smashing the state in in different ways but it’s it’s interesting at the go and start joining the crypto movement and seeing that there’s this super well-established very successful wing of the event Turkish movement that is actually not eating out of dumpsters and begging and doing the Sid Vicious thing or the self-destruct paternalistic political philosophy of anarchism like to really negative and really hopeless there is a lot of that narrative in in the punk seems that I was involved in and going out for the yeah I get that so how have you ever had so cool I mean I saw the picture of you at the SEC with the master of those least so I don’t like wearing a suit I used to have a company and write a business partner and he was great we work very well together like I was I was always the one with the ideas like a hundred ideas take them back to make some happen anymore but I never wore suits I was always in t-shirt and jeans I was always like look I’m coming as maybe I’m coming Roar and I’m going to give you everything I’ve got right I’m not going to wear a costume I guess that maybe that’s that I can smoke pot and I’m not going to wear a costume like if I’m going to Barclays for meeting I’m done with me I’m going to bring your suits on to see all but as soon as long as I’m getting married because I think I want to look at the car or put a suit on cuz I’m going to someone’s wedding cuz I want to be respectful of that passes wedding cuz I respect them but if you’re asking me for me saying you’re no better than me and I’ll know better than you want to come with me and you guys even like if we do business great but I’m not dressing up what happened with the CC think some people said to me oh was that like we were master puppets is like a hidden message and it was like know who knows no way they could that would be very disrespectful to Hester has to give me the interview know it was I’m not too bad Bobby Axelrod in billions like I don’t know if you remember this monster puppet Steve smells like I like him like he’s a capless he doesn’t give a fuck if you liked his master one that’s me so I’m going to I’m going to wear mine and I’m going to a picture NECC wearing wearing the T-shirt because I think for me it was like it was a good combination of the anarchism of like cryptocurrency Bitcoin alongside the kind of State corporate government regulate regulatory side of the SEC and I just thought it’s like it’s a really nice manager of the two and I just thought I would be big for a really cool picture and thought it was no way to disrespect as the past with some people feel cuz I have nothing but respect for the rice am I really appreciate her work so I think she probably appreciates it too and maybe who knows she could be a headbanger in and just as opposed to buy Metallica t-shirt have to wear a suit without a will kick you out if you turn the fan on you know I just having a fast right now about Megadeth and the politically insightful covers that they had with their I can’t remember if they had a name for their mascot but it was it was kind of like the Eddie of iron maiden’s they had the skeleton with the bolted eyes shut and all in all these different corporate contacts there was one reason wearing a suit peace sells but who’s buying that and images I just feel like this is is it’s almost like an album cover you know that that’s why the you were born but the first one they have a bull myself was the single for Hangar 18 by Megadeth which to me now is a time of it’s still an incredible song the amazing and I still want to go running cuz I’d like to run like my first song I usually put on it’s going to be coming to get me, and it’s usually one two three song it’s either this song by Machine Head the blackening in the reason for that is because I just a minute song I like you know when I’m when you’re running to songs you always conscious of how much time he sounds like for 5 minutes yeah if I listen to the blackening of John 11 minutes when that’s gone and I’m happy right I’m willing to the run but if I need to pick me up these are they going to be Hangar 18 by Megadeth course Pantera song I still listen to Megadeth Hangar 18 when I go running I pulled that song. 2016 is a guy on cassette this is so this this is really getting to the heart of what I want to touch on which is that there is so much frustrated Punk and metal antagony towards the state and the man and the system and it wasn’t it wasn’t so well articulated about the fed and the banks and globalization and all that stuff but it’s I’m I would just be dying now to hear what Dave Mustaine and Jay set field and all of the other thought leaders in metal have to say about this moment of opportunity if they if they could read the Bitcoin whitepaper and you know what is leading up to this interview when I was thinking about just meditating on the value of Howell metal and punk has shaped my attitudes towards the estate and money and all that and I thought about how there would be no big coin if it wasn’t for Metallica going on the Rampage against Napster thus creating BitTorrent isn’t that a trip have you ever thought about that how that that whole kind of klusterfuk happen and that was it, I started Napster Sean and unlock Maps my slot with my best mate and we discovered that I was just like download whatever you want instantly I loaded up on you or you might not remember this the first MP3 player was the Diamond Rio and you would load it up with your songs are you get anything instantly and it was just like this is incredible Metallica try to shove them down at 5 and I was like yeah Metallica lesson and I was always comes and Roses when it comes roses be Metallica I was with Guns N Roses I’m at Metallica Guns and Roses were a bit more treble I don’t know why but I always remember when the MTV Awards are on metallic are in the crowd of showing finding comes out like after he stay suit him he comes out and I was like yeah sure that’s going well played the great thing about Metallica suing Napster is is the whole centralized V decentralized and centralized right you could sue it to close it down and then you go to all these things like this hard you can close down batard to this day you can go on any number of mirrored Pirate Bay’s and use your eye like a VPN and just access to download stuff for free you can still do it because it’s orange is decent why won’t see centralized it was not what I know is like Metallica exposed to flu in the Napster motor which United Torrance have this is exploited By The Crate so make sure the kids to bed write this is so fascinating and you wouldn’t except for In This Moment of real metal Geeks would you actually I mean it wasn’t in the Satoshi white paper and he’s like thanks to Metallica for pushing the technology forward towards peer-to-peer distributed networks for you could free pizza the systems that are decentralized in Camp and have their head list they can’t they can’t be arrested they can’t be brought down because you would have to take down the internet and you had to take down everybody participating internet and so yeah it’s quite a fascinating history with just that moment that says neglected invite a lot of people to know if you saw a point completely off topic but just while we hit it cuz it’s just like that to me like a man oh yeah right did you ever read the inlay card to Countdown to Extinction Ikea it’s not it’s not too coming to me right now off to bed now you know what I want to see cop kicked out of Metallica you know he just he lost Willy Wonka golden ticket right now and then he sees Metallica just go from strength-to-strength like they release ride the line with him to the mall and then they were days Ride the Lightning but then they were these pop hits and then they release Injustice for on the black guy I need just become huge right all right. But he wanted that was number one album in a to validate himself that like Megadeth Countdown to Extinction because that we how was nowhere came what’s his name Ricky whatever I lived Livin the Vida Loca what does it say Ricky Ricky Martin you know the Latina Danza tell me the Vida Loca you know the song Outside Inside Out released in the same week of Megadeth by Puritans like it may be that the one we got it they would have the us out for number one and they didn’t answer that day I know it cuz I know you always feel sorry for him because he he like he was in Metallica he lost the golden ticket to the Chocolate Factory and he did it again he did start another band who had epic amounts of success and I just kind of always felt sorry for that mistake sorry I taking a completely off topic that a lot of people that know that pop maker test and I think I think they should actually know I’m all into this man where this is all this is all point because the reason I was thinking about that reference to the history of Napster and in Metallica is that at that beautiful documentary some kind of monster they go into all this stuff and they showed the moment where Dave Mustaine I believe it was Lars Ulrich and Dave Mustaine are hanging out and processing with a therapist the the agony that he fell out but that’s how these things evolve a tub and of all that mean y’all say I’ve been in bands for most of my life and I have experienced all these different dimensions of you know you do what you got to do when you got to do it and yeah it’s it’s it’s it’s a trip if we can move into some of the this is what I find so fascinating is the the way that punk and metal we could talk about the the economic theories that are that have been I mean very effectively pumped out to the masses with with all of these like the way that if you’re if you’re into Punk and metal and you see a business suit you see that that as a representative of the state of capitalism of everything that you’re supposed to be smashing into Extinction and from this so many different bands that have anthems about about politics and economics in various forms of ecological social environmental rights environmental justice and less definite it’s just a for me it was always a a disempowering kind of narrative that you know will never succeed Will Never Be A revolution is kind of a fantasy and will always just be disgruntled about being even if we’re not impoverished we’re still sort of like trapped within this Illuminati thing and it’s just been raised and rebellion and but but not very sophisticated and there was nobody in the punk and metal scene that would have said to me like yeah you should have to go study economics you should go study technology and computer science and and you will be able to liberate yourself with math and with cryptography and know that there that just reminded me of a band as well that I didn’t even mention in the list of company about the Gulf Coast Punk and hardcore a mess with people I always explain one bad news I think probably the most important punk bands of the hotel right always always get people to scream a special proper punks rice Punk is Rage Against the Machine I know I’m always liked was no no then they just an empty V band and I’m like know what they did is they bridge messel and no mess they made Maxwell open to everybody else and they came with such a powerful strong message and in some ways like through everything I’ve listened to like my entire history music there is one album that that has been a constant staple and that’s been rage against machines rage against machine every single song is good which is very very rare these days you know I struggle with his name five albums that every single song is good but on the album every single song is good on this time is a test of time they could go on stage now play the whole album now and it would sound like who is known for their instruments no one else has done and they will come in with a message and they will go and pick us everyone they shut down Wall Street I mean that’s not a punk bands like yeah but you have to know exactly where his roots right he was an inside out across the punk band but he did rage against machine is a benefit from it what he has a punk Oracle background like he was in that scene rage against machine is a pom pom to me I tend to agree with you yeah actually I I was blessed to be at the the DNC protests where they were they were instructed by the lapd’s that if they did anything to incite a riot they will be culpable I didn’t see that that may have been but this was La around 2001 I believe in and it was so yeah it was beautiful man people took to the streets it was like this massive breach of thousands and thousands of people right in the heart of downtown LA and just flanks of Riot cops and just say I’m here for you in and out to be in suits chlorella is placing my favorite place in the world Twitter is in Venice somebody apartment Adventist you know he’s one of these weird places right that most people when they get it cuz they get there they go to Hollywood and that life is that it and then they don’t know what to do with themselves cuz it’s not together you can walk from Grand Central to Central Park and you go to La you have to live if a live that and you have to go to Venice and Santa Monica and downtown and discover these little balls outside restaurants will go to Calabasas will go for a hike you have to be there for a while to understand what I asked about and I think once you’ve list that you got a few Consciousness as a tourist we get it almost everyone I know it said that it was a disappointment pause a good point yeah it’s it’s more about it’s it’s very laterally spread out because there is the space and it’s not just as some islands you know what people on the East Coast so used to weigh more vertical and stacked kind of ant farm kind of living and I love these goes to you know I’ve been there number times mostly touring with bands and experiencing that that sector but I agree that the la la the geography of the LA culture it’s it’s you got to you got to spend time getting yourself around in and digging event the rage against machine man love that band I agree and I think they’re under there was a time I think the topic of you know a lot of people in the deepest underground scenes are just very hostile towards success and that’s another sort of shoot yourself in the foot problem you know there was a documentary called punk attitude and I think it was it was expressed at some point in their that’s like punk rock seems to have a sort of debilitating resistance to success and so people just want to kill themselves and drown themselves in the bottle and and drugs because is the success kind of distorts their sense of being the underdog and there’s no confidence there and if the other genres hip hop never had a problem scaling up to huge success and even metal bands were far less shy about monetary success but it’s so I’m wondering for you as we could go into the have you found a lot of other people that give you the sort of wink and Nod about the more subversive more underground kind of Ethics that come from the music scenes in finding that in in the world or is it just a completely different approach to different Pathway to to the politics of Anarchy plus I thinking crypto people finding different ways and their pills of a different ways at different times like last time I discovered that it’s in the stool I discovered in 2013 as a way of buying things online we need to go into details of that and then kind of forgot about it and then I got back into it. We are all Caillou really going to bitcoin and my mom is my mom is dying from cancer and cannabis oil treatment with a coin and yes it’s illegal but when your mom’s doing you don’t really care about to go with you just want to get her treatment and the ability to buy that treatment for a nobody can stop me and was amazing and with that I was kind of like okay I got this now this is kind of a big deal but the first 6 months to a year in crypto is Radio just making money I was just making really good money on it anyone I think most people can’t I wanna get lost in in Mami at times like I did all this money and I was traveling to while I am back and just live in this great life but in doing my podcast you know I’ve had some massage would love more more about what’s going on in the wall to buy Bitcoins rather than her Nana life suddenly become a little bit more like a k e Anika side to this is more like the the free. I’d rather say cuz sometimes comes this negative connotation you know it like it’s the G8 a meeting that’s going to be a smashing the place outright I just think the freedom and liberty that comes with some of my Bitcoin is truly incredible but what I have noticed is the northern the weight comes from when somebody like I I drop little Slayer of Matlock on every now and again they’ll be someone like you like a cool woman in me and him have become good buddies like online. He’s going to marry her life that we talkin bout we always like that and I think there’s that kind of you know someone if you are like friends with him he’s about your age like 40 years and they know Pantera and Faith No More and they weren’t Alice in Chains with rage against Machine music from the early nineties you know you had a similar kind of life of a life that shaped you write the way I see it is from about 1340 when you start to get a bit of freedom for your parents up until kind of like early twenties where I used to have to think about become responsible I think that. That’s how you know that person I think they come to a concert by the consequence of the parents probably doesn’t know they come to make you doubt they’ve gotten out of bed when they’ve been like 15 at the back of a Pantera gay Gwar Koenigsegg and they staged dog and then it going to school with that like Marilyn Manson patch on that back and some on that bag or something that’s going to be something like dick in schools turn around to take cuz I like I got my music constantly kind of they just kind of got a kid in a mortgage and over that kind of stand the stuff that you end up getting when you get older but you know you know you were several of us you know you’re going to go another bairn you can have a simple conversation you probably kind of similar friends and syphilis views on life I kind of like that so I guess that’s why I kind of trying to find that music yes, those two are we also it is my friend used to call it the international Punk not it’s just that you see somebody that has that some emblem of identification with the desota Underground Music scenes in the culture gigs and mosh pits and what not and there is an immediate solidarity and hours appreciate that and will always add to the Xfinity I have four people you know to know ya you’ve you’ve been raging in the pit so I’ve been I’ve been off since I put out that big toy story about losing all the money right I’ve been off like 15 times to come and put gas and I’ll say yes to anyone anyone I’ll make an hour and a half because when I lost my podcast I’ve relied on the same night and even took today I would lie on the same people giving up that time and space museum you want to come up with that guy is when you came out you said I’d like the pumpkin the hardcore want to talk about that with you is like right in this is the one I want to do this guy gets there I want to go in there I want to talk about owning somebody’s can I listen to it because the only time I really like I’m in this music is when I go for a run on down the gym and I put it on when I put on my headphones and I listen to like most of the time I don’t get a chance to talk about apart from my daughter and she’s like some of it is like a Hatebreed someone she really likes unless there’s like a song by like Iron Maiden she likes what she likes that you are so right but most of the time so yeah I ceased when you came and you said you want to do is like yeah I’m in I’m in Manistee this yeah well I would say that it’s interesting that it seems I know there’s the Tatiana moroz I believe is one of the early crypto music artists who did some some form of tokenization of her her stuff and then I know who Joe music is the ethereum blockchain based project to disintermediate the intellectual property Monopoly that is embedded in the music industry and what not have you come across any any folks in in whatever genre music but you know be great Punk and metal that seems like we’re the punk and metal artists are behind the curve when it comes to the crypto blockchain next generation of even the music industry so have you have you pondered that or thought about that or kind of made any connections there I just think it’s still so early Saturday days and I guess I guess you need exposure to a maybe they haven’t discovered there or I don’t see it takes a long time to read together like some really really good and I’m really coming I’m coming up now ready to two years and it was kind of going to buy the stuff in my mom like I know as there’s so much I don’t know but I know a lot more than I did something is not to click now starting to get it I think we way too early even for the Amicus Sue to really understand what I’ve seen a few rappers talk about it because I guess is it’s about making money in wrappers or what about making Benjamin but I don’t think the crossover has come yet because I don’t see nothing but still too early I still something that’s enough of people do to grab the crap yet but I think it will come yeah I agree I’ve noticed that I kind of had goes back to that shyness that you were just a bit attractive but yeah the early adopters the hip-hop artists were not asleep at the wheel with this stuff and want you know some of them started getting into Bitcoin even before it was that big of a thing and now they’ve got real gains to to play with so that’s that’s a very very interesting and and also I mean it is something is so deeply tickled inside of me when I hear government Regulators talk about cypherpunk and crypto energy and how they have to know retool themselves to catch up with these technological revolutions that are rooted in all of these extremely radical and an anti authoritarian Tendencies and I just think this is so yeah you being at the the SECU the Securities and Exchange Commission to have a conversation about really you know I’ll put it in my in my words how the powers-that-be are going to have to adapt to this math math based Anarchist cryptographic Revolution there this is like the first time in hundreds if not thousands of years that there has been a a power a rebalancing and a check and balancing of the powers of these these really in trench systems so and I thank you for being a part of that that shifting and balancing of of powers now was a pleasure to be part of it I mean it was a real kind of course I want to want and like a lot of really bad has happened in The Last 5 Years. 3 minutes and I was not a small detail guy said if I store Apple’s trajectory and I’m making good money but in some ways kind of lost my way as well and I was doing mine are not as kind of building an agency and I wanted to screw with the big agencies and take them home by Jim is a cruise companies you know I would like just companies that dunk at my job is helping us help get them selfie with shit they don’t need and you know I kind of I don’t know if it was like you would probably say cuz you’re a little bit more grounded the band in the spiritual side you’ll probably say it’s all this was going to happen for a reason you know that this is you a Johnny blah blah blah blah you know whether it was just a bunch of coincidences but I lost everything in my life my mom I lost my family to my divorce I lost my company of my mental health everything went over the space so you know three three years I mean I’m a dumb from getting married I just got married I love you to family beautiful wife who I have toward the successful company money in the bank at a Porsche home at the house. Holidays like I had everything and it went and then I hit rock bottom and I remember the Rock Bottom whatever and most of the substance abuse or the results of substance abuse where I would be your mom was when was in my house for the first time I was I was doing drugs not to get high but to get back to parity like I feel so rough. I would do and then feel like normal Robin doing it to be high and I was like I remember that night thinking you know I would be going in and out of the shower panicking and just it was awful and I was like okay this is this is bad right you’re a very bad place there’s another time when I had a panic attack on the Underground Chief station and I would have off the train in the paramedics came and they stripped myself to do an ECG on the rush hour by people under pause which was tied to the Grave Digger every buildings and I was like how do I do this again like a Comstock company going to 10 of the energy account commute to London anymore cuz of the Times by Charles is Bitcoin thing happened because my mom died which is awful questions and then Sunday I find myself lying out to Washington to go to the SEC to interview has to pass I’m like how the fuck is this happen and then yeah I remember leaving that interview and I’m going back to my Abby and being like having a cigarette and sitting on the wall lights to be so we’d times like these things that happen you just yeah it’s just very strange I do not even know if you want to give you that I just kind of went a little story please and I actually that that’s what endears you to me a lot is that the personal aspect and how you really the way you got into Bitcoin as well and how it’s just it’s always just a testimony to how empowering and liberating the technology is and yeah I really appreciate how much effort you put into Earp your project the web Bitcoin the what Bitcoin did podcast can you talk about just the evolution of the podcast and how you actually seems like you have a very meteoric rise and and honestly of all of the crypto Bitcoin blockchain media that I consume it really stands out the work that you’re doing the level list of research that you’ve done in the equality of the guests and you’re the way that you’ve gone after in-person meetings and all that stuff is just seems like a a real higher level of quality put into the project I’m wondering cuz you have like a a moment of insight where you said you know I’m going to bring value to the community by doing a podcast since you not like a coder per say or what was that story about this is my real big plan like the best of the podcast Reedy was just part of a series of events you know I discovered Bitcoin and crypto bull everything all these different shape coins made loads of money than my friends wanted to get into it that’s why you like crazy male robin to tell him to meet you in the picture day which was like an introduction to the original one I sent out to everyone must excuse me and said that the people and then people like what should we buy what should we buy and so did a Facebook group for my friends and you have a hundred people joined and I would just say that to this is what I’m reading on this one thing going to buy an avatar for my chores he said to me yeah right so he understands Google you should think about doing a Blog we thought that we just going to show somebody is Bound for most of the time trying to come up with the name he was like we were just as a joke like we have his wife entitled the king of Bedford which is so embarrassing but like it needed became that name thank God it didn’t but we expect snow must be the king of it but we just so I know it’s the website but I would write about it and I love the Old Post have been deleted now cuz I don’t even agree with him but I was just writing to understand and then you know I I I was like why is he not actually funny funny thing I didn’t tell you I don’t like the first issue front cover was a band hookah skunk anansie who were playing in Bedford so I got to click on that interview and Xena Me podcast consoles are free again the CDs afraid that your problem is it’s getting your first interview how does a 14 year old girl but we have this little which is kind of a cold then you you you know what bands are on like like secret to little ask was and we had a bank with skunk anansie play so I knew the guy who was the event is he on the sky so I went down to her when I was like yeah can you let me do an interview. I did that the distance CD reviews and released with us tissue but that issue I said Run for the rental companies move to do the store at 2 and I want to show off today releases on blind because I was the most unimportant when they put me in for us so I liked it a really crappy time I interviewed Vinnie Paul from Pantera and I interviewed the down set hike all these bands at the gate with the one of those Old Dixie Forest River the dictaphone World on that go to my friend Tom’s dad’s estate agents would like to print out copies giveaway gig 6s when I used to get like these packs of CDs every week with 5 10 15 CDs I can send you a photo of any CD’s still there but I finish school with uni I wanted to stop fencing again online didn’t have the money to do it so my off my first year you need I stay behind I used to walk who died in the carpentry shop and then come back to me even though man takes them out so I learn how to build websites and then I started getting off the money by my landlord off me to go to website. Double cut your business he paid me $450 mind I was in I was working in the carpentry supplies full-time an hour so I was like okay this is cool that’s like sound like a hundred hours working and I didn’t like a day and then this recruiting company called Springfield can you build a website and I just found out that message a fine I was like this is insane this is the company of London countries during the first. Come by and they were like can you come here and can you like help us build this. Come we got whatever Millie’s investment how about ya and I like with the NFL I’m like okay I can take that severe mind I was like NM property other than what’s 40 * 160 week like what you need a website and then agency and then this time my friends had like your website I think you said I had a meteoric rise like I think one of the things that’s what well for me is all this background in like the first thing I knew I had to get my interviews right and I know interviews me to interview so I got in touch with Jameson lopp very early on this is going to come out to North Carolina do with you and by the way I’ve never shot a gun and I want you to take me to shoot a gun an interview as a vegetarian at the time you took me to a barbecue place and I didn’t have the heart to tell him so I ended up eating barbecue and then you show me to the gun range of a shotgun and I’m from the lucky that I think the reason the podcast some quiet so I can write a good set of gas and they’ve introduced me to the next guest but it will save my background in like Cabanas so I got a lot of work when I chew your show all those banners could come see my interviews. I genuinely find the stuff difficult to understand like genuinely I’m like I’ll get it I don’t understand that I get out I think that’s made out with the podcast is that you know I’ve asked questions other people want a while she’s probably sounds quite humbling because it is and then I had that kind of background of my family have known how to get like the important ingredient to get gas and then my back hurting boxing so I guess a whole bunch of great something I guess I guess my punk ass is just a combination of my background it doing the fans and boxing and digital marketing and just cut out who I am as a person that’s so cool and that. Just sit just bringing back this Cascade of memories of what it was like with black and white Xerox machines and like you said finding a hookup for a copy Earth if you could get a hookup to copy yours and you were still golden back in the 80s 90s you know when that and and I have a similar experience and it just it what Rings true for me is just that the spirit of do-it-yourself that’s what is unifying the punks and the meddlers in the hardcore and the cryptographers an open-source movement in all of the crypto Anarchy a sense of people say crip the Savages and it says that the unifying concept is is just being a power to go out and do it yourself and not you know not wait for permission not wait for Wayfair Venture funding and you can see that there are more resilient projects in the crypto space or the ones that that weren’t really over-leveraged in pandering to Ico money in the ones that are actually out there and I’m not to be judgmental or critical but but we but I like the way people say Bitcoin was in the accurate conception and it’s a headless Hydra that can just go and take over so many sectors of planet and now I have that central point of failure and just touches I guess I guess some people make some accusations of me sometimes it’s like you just become a Bitcoin Maxima so you just hang around with Bitcoin maximalism around 1:59 interviews now and if I’m a 3-day prep by prep for an interview as everything else I read I’m saying it like my opinion where I go to that is the conclusion for 59 interviews all the crap all the readings he hasn’t asked if I sound like a maximalist is because that’s what makes sense to me that’s where I’m on kind of that right now now I’m not a full Maximus but I’m not far off right and I just the thing about my podcast is quiet like anyone has been there for me stopped quite transparent me followed my journey of kind of what I learned and understood but I think what’s come out of that is like you’re bored and sorry for swearing but it’s so important. He Ledger or some like I don’t know just like some of this absolute nonsense out there if anything like let’s go to war because yeah where at where am I in time where are the People by removing the time now where we are all surveilled all day everyday online offline cameras like everything we do you know what Financial transactions where I would go out of the country problems everyone fighting with each other and then we could Bitcoin controls right nobody can really control decentralized the office I can do way of considering money I’m at the office where breaking the rules with math in the pool right now that I want to put most of my energy into laugh and I want to get away from all the noise will the distractions has stopped. Help. My stuff back when becoming what it can be because we might never get a chance like if you thought this out we might never get a chance like this again and I think that’s super important yeah I hear you there it’s just every day every day that goes by what you’re saying comes more becomes more clear and goes warm to focus in weather people are speculating on going to the moon and quick riches and what not or if it’s really deeper into the the ethos of it and the and the ethics of it I’m tight end to be always say the was if this is actually a question I’ve had for you since I’ve listened to your podcast I think I got I got in I’ve been a religious fanatic of your podcast going back to several months when you had an interview with Lynn Albrecht brazo bricks mother the political prisoner from the Silk Road and and have been following you since then and something that that I am interested in your your thoughts on too kind of elaborate is that I think you’ve asked a couple people here and there but you said something to the effect of do you have this concerned that the the new stablecoin projects are in a way attack and attack on bitcoin could you could you explain a little bit more cuz I’m I’m I’m considering the value of these newer stablecoins and it’s certainly a it’s a it’s a way more digestible narrative for onboarding new people into the power of crypto as far as bypassing the choke points of banks in and payment processors that don’t allow you to say certain things are not allowed in their terms of service but you can use any crypto to transact value online but now I’m leaning towards the stable coins at least as a crutch until Bitcoin kind of stabilize is overtime but but I’ll be interested yet to hear you kind of you can go off about why why you feel like people should be second-guessing this obviously the centralized ones but just in general that attack stablecoin doesn’t attack on bitcoin what does that mean for you fuzzy thank you for listening to do with little braids pink Floyds off me my favorite to you and I don’t see what that first one was my favorite by Fall because we didn’t really talk about Bitcoin and it’s very awesome story how do I create a political prisoner break his now friend of mine she you know we actually text each other today we talk regularly in Vegas just like Alexa from Ross thank me for supporting them and that’s a huge important so using voice because it’s me the Revolutionary that’s so much misinformation about him he should be in prison if you believe in the laws of the land but no way should he spend the rest of his life in prison I hear conversation about the right to choose and he he is a reason I was able to buy a treatment for my mother when she was time for cancer and I will stand up in front of anyone to say to them in my shoes if you stood there with your mother she’s never cancel it you two you two will probably break the rules to the kind of treatment to relieve the suffering and I believe that is so important I thank you for listening to that stable coins haha you know what it’s an interesting one from loving to hating I guess the the thing is for stable coins is in a pool business wild innocent X functional while they have a use case they have a use case they are easy on faucets transactions that money around the world and they would you spell identity. they do take away from Bitcoin and Lotus table coins could take away from Vic Mensa free sample Facebook account I want to properly stablecoin right people that’s taking people who could be buying Bitcoin away maybe they’ll introduce people to pick, but I believe Bitcoin and hard money and soft money so important that yes I see you. But I don’t ever want them to be a priority of a Bitcoin because the thing about stablecoins his Tales from the Crypt really realize that I am I asking the same it’ll be all right so they could have a black hole in sweater Black Swan events in the US that will lead to nest devaluation of u.s. dollar to the same I’m not conversant Maximus run like everything about for Bitcoins to wash it again the used case. We’re going to look if if there is like a semi pseudo decentralized stablecoin was a short-term Solutions $2 Bahrain in FL station with somebody wouldn’t risk Bitcoin yet use a stablecoin to give himself a little bit more freedom to transact rifle do business I get it at the same time I think we need to constantly educate people Bitcoin and encourage big one and it you know another one of my Eureka my mother is coming that I’m forgetting price very very rarely check price I’ve lost so much Bitcoin through bad trading and Mining stupid decisions like I lost like 1897 coin accumulate Bitcoin like that one pic when he was one Bitcoin thing is not about the money tree Valley cuz it changes is that what how much Bitcoin account now all I want to do is make sure the end of next year I’ll have more that kind of the way I will do that is by no selling not trading not using but doing what that creates money where I can buy a new Bitcoin and that’s my goal is to say I could make the pug cost usually successful in this is fat 2,000 lb of the end of each month maybe I’ll buy two thousand kind of Bitcoin the end of each month and I’m just going to keep accumulating on this kind of 10-year project I would like to be in a position where I got very significant Bitcoin holding and that’s amazing it’s usually boarded because we got to think about time preference is the journey for Bitcoin to take over and have a big one edition top and isn’t going to be a slow and steady and without want to send it to you so yes table that use case but yeah I agree with you yeah it’s kind of a temporary thing and it really there is no such thing as stable as sort of maybe less volatile on a certain time frame but it’s very it’s funny because the USD coins if the USB goes down and they have to follow along with it then it won’t be a stable going you know Andreas Antonopoulos I loved one of these his jeans you know is is he’s like a comedian and a genius and a you know he’s just such a hero to so many people and the things he said yeah it’s it’s volatile Munich of the Bitcoins volatile but also fiat currency the real Balto do you want to be on an upward trend of volatility or a downward trend of all tail because there’s only one way that the CPI currencies can really go so yeah it’s all semantics right really with you to the health how far you zoom in or zoom out of any chart yeah I mean it’s just like a say to me Bitcoin so important and I always like how how back to you when interviewed Caden long as he said prices the least interesting fact of a Bitcoin for me and I try and think like that you know how I kind of got lost in and get rich off crypto saying and now I’d like over the next year slow down I sure have a stable solid income that comes me a cup of my children, my life and my life stuff and then from there Play movie Gone and focus on Pitkin and just forget about price focus on the growth of the technology that use case and maybe with my book called educating people but get away from this kind of get rich from Bitcoin thing cuz that’s that’s not the right thing yeah I agree I have used used it for very practical purposes that exemplify the use case of remittances exemplified yusuke Civ V stunts answerable value transfer and you know for those who can afford to hot oil and a half Ford to hold it and speculate and save than you know that’s more power to the Toddlers and for people who just need to use it for you know I was having a conversation with with a friend recently where it’s like no matter what no matter what the volatility is that’s going to be all based on the the more advanced Traders and speculators and Market players and I’ll go Bots and all that stuff but as far as they your grandma or someone who is sending money to family members in a country that they are you know from but they’re not working in and they’re just doing the ribbons is as long as this this bulletproof kind of armored car that can travel from me from your location with your value across the internet to someone else you want to cash it out immediately and you know it might be a slippage of a couple fraction to percent given the time it takes for you know the six confirmations or whatever on the network know it’s still is always going to be stable enough for those those types of transactions and for the people that can afford to hang on to it and play that game and take losses and gains and paper and strong at the weekends well that’s what wall Street’s been doing this whole time anyway so and you know it’s just kind of a we trying to make the banking system more efficient are we trying to change the way money it’s not about the money value was created in generated who has influence over money cuz we know the powers-that-be will be abused that the fuse that position the money if you know they’ll print to have them when needed they will they will still text with inflation they will spend money Wars a year they will do countless Anna Faris things with money and things up the most people watch discuss did that so do we want to create a more efficient Financial system is much more important goal in life yeah I totally agree I’m it’s been a steep learning curve to even figure out how to get on coinbase Pro or any of the other exchanges and actually buy all coins and it says I see how it’s just the it’s buried there is a I guess a dark side to all of that speculating and trading an Arbitrage and there’s somebody losing anytime you win in that game kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth and in my B I guess I’ll be happy for a time when when the Bitcoin market capitalization is as dispersed geographically and economically as widely as possible and people do by their groceries do their laundry pay their rent you know by their Christmas gifts whatever it is in Holdings of Bitcoin in once that I was thinking of going back to punk and metal you know they made image it comes to me cuz I’m a drummer as I’m like well there will be a point when the when the Bitcoin that is produced that has been has been produced will be distributed enough amongst the masses of the world that’ll be like a snare drum and he’s just like tightening each pig on a snare drum until you have that more stable kind of bottom or at least a stable way more stable chart and then that will give people the confidence to transact in it and it won’t be so so lustfully extremely kind of addictive like crack cocaine to try to chase this Moon pumps and all that I think it’s going to happen it will just take it will take time for sure if you feel like that this kind of just like I just hang in there cuz it’s going to get away will like in other markets that have been volatile it will find a sweet spot over time I just don’t see how it’s going to die and just gone like looking to history of Bitcoin like go back look up look what’s happened over 10 years it’s gone from strength to strength and power a bad Marcus but every time is stronger bigger I just don’t see how it can be maybe he can but I just don’t say I just think it’s about patience until I’m now I trace man says it’s a 50 to 60 year project pride and those people are now wearing off the 1-year like we have a customer and a half thousand dollars right I’m people worried I mean come on let’s get in the real world right because I’m going to buy everything I can and other people but it went to Adelaide by order that so like he’s not going to die in a while now ETFs Ice come in future custody solutions for institutions biwi. Knowledge lightning that was coming it’s just growing is getting stronger and it’s getting harder it’s not going anywhere or does happen if people with people different time preferences who buy and sell at the wrong time of losing money but you know it’s just a game a patient’s I’m very very bullish on the future of Bitcoin write on me to likewise yeah it’s like the price drops it to me it’s a gift from the gods how could they be so merciful to let me get back on the train you know about buying the ditch dollar cost averaging and trying not to lose my mind staring at the shop and just yeah I like you like you said to me in the strategy don’t fucking quit your day job you know just put in a small amount as you generate real value in produce real value in the world and then and then just have this this hedge against the collapse of the Fiat system in and you’ll be blessed like the other people I love Trace mirrors work and I love that he’s doing the proof of keys thing I’m going to participate can you just shut that out too so we can promote that anybody who’s into crypto or crypto curious what is a spread that Meme of the the proof of Keys January 3rd Festival yes I trace my ass he’s running his campaign proof of keys like every year trying to decide which was is none of us three of the protocol on the 10th anniversary of the Bitcoin protocol launch in anyone’s remind people that you know if you don’t know your private Keys you don’t know your Bitcoin you have an IOU for a Bitcoin or you have a credit me for Bitcoin mining exchange generosity want everyone to go on to the exchanges take the Bitcoin off put it on that Hardware wallet on the Cold Water Solutions in the private so many people over the last year or so I guess you don’t even know what happened with the amount call soup one pot amount cuz he didn’t lose that money the Bitcoin you’ve got to be so sober and you could I owe you private Keys you know your Bitcoin so January 3rd I need to check it out website proof of keys., which you which everyone needs to go to check out but that’s so important you know I wanted to become part of it very important campaign Play Trace might recommend F-16 it out also will thank you for that and yeah one respect your time if you got to get going here so any last words you want to share and websites and your elbows and we’ll get people connected to all the greats I want to say this is my favorite over into your dumb because I didn’t know what he was looking at small there’s a very small people out there but when anyone wants to talk to me I’m about to do that but I’ve never enjoyed it interview so much cuz you come in my favorite subject which is evil that you ever want me to come and get on to the Future just let me know I’d be more than a pleasure if you want to check out my work on Google podcast SoundCloud on Spotify on Android 51 episodes in how to help people if you want to find them switch my test was at peace McCormack what DMVs are open to go to reach out yeah pretty much required to anyone here for anyone and I’m grateful to anyone he checks out all right.
