My Non Verbatim Show Notes

Current events strategy, don’t have a tv, don’t know if that makes me a luddite

don’t like to watch news, 24 hour news cycle on tv

I like bbc service, somewhere between bbc and economist seems to be much more objective than nbc, fox

haven’t compared statistics to prior outbreaks, spanish influenza, killed a lot more people than recent outbreaks

haven’t really studied it, the new social media interfacing with that, changing the narrative or not

happened before historically, originally had state laws for mandatory vaccinations, resistances to that, if we’re talking about martial law, court cases developed since then, in the wake of that

not something I’ve studied in any detail, precedent of state being able to dictate that you must receive this or that

united states in a lot of ways is the bread basket for the world, immediate needs we’re fortunate here, more or less self sufficient with oil

we have enough food, less fortunate countries dependent on outside aid, most drastic effect on economy

grew up in wyoming, canned goods, bottled water, everything came in was fresh

I guess I have not being participated in disaster preparedness

I started going to a church, come across the minister, civic groups, 99% african american church, minister, very thoughtful definitely get good vibes from him, last sermon on book of revelations of the bible, psychedelic adventure going through hell, fragmented snakes and demons, believes we’re approaching the end times

put on the clock of god, shed the trappings of evil, you could interpret that as to how our society is so removed from any of the basic hardships that most people throughout history have suffered

huge homeless problems, but what would happen if there really were systemic disruptions of service, how would be react, bring people together, honor and helping each other

I think just about every age they’ve always thought they were going through the end times

if the gates of hell our unleashed, revelation, sun melts thing, global warming, could be something to that

what does it mean to get yourself right with god, seeing life in more spiritual terms, brush with organized church in the past hasn’t been the best, a lot of truth in the original messages, reframe in a way that doesn’t involve rape

the trauma is all around us, some of us put up walls for one reason or another, so many people in the u.s. and the world in that predicament

it’s all around us, it is now, what do we do about it

all these people that are there are us, we’re sharing in their journey, it’s still there, what responsibility does that have, do we stock pile, prepare

maybe I’m just waiting for the answer, seems like there’s something, it’s right here, homeless problem right here

it’s been bringing people in the community together, everybody feels it

haven’t been able to fashion a long range thing, does put something in the air, spawned different community groups, whether we want to face it or not it’s there, there is suffering

affects you even if you live in a gated community

facinated by christian idea of service, the simple, the old mother teresa, franciscan way of serving people, see god in everything, go to the leper colonies, serve the poorest of the poor see that those people are god

very shamanic, recognizing, we’re all part of the same body, when you take care of the people who are the most needy,

there is a lot of overlap in the fundamental christian messages and the shamanic messages that are very powerful

humans are always looking for that new thing, speaking more to myself, grew up in catholic background, new appreciation by shamanic means, entheogens,

we think we’re discovering something new, but just going back to where we’re starting from

love, peace, service, basic messages, a lot of mainline christian groups in united states, a lot of beauty in that

I have this knee jerk reaction, the church doesn’t let women participated in the priesthood, or priest telling me what to do

messages in scriptures a lot of practices beautiful

what kind of messages really resonates with me

what I think is appealing to some of the shamanic messages, why I think they’re getting more popularity in this area

when you do a medicine ceremony, shaman isn’t telling you what to do, they’re just singing a song, the icaros

if you were a leader of a church or something, not so much be pedantic, or even thinking you have a flock, that you need to pastor to, within yourself you create this music, not so much the content, but the love and the energy, such a beautiful metaphor for future leaders

not worry about telling people things, but rather just serving people, creating the music to foster people’s positive energy

seeing the god in the other person, the god within you

shouldn’t single out priests, even somebody like us on a podcast talking about stuff

struggling with in my own life, what is my truth, what is my messages, what is my song, why am I doing this podcast

started off, interested in interviewing other people, socratic method, listening to them talk, asking them questions, within interjecting my own anything, what exactly is our role as a person

two daughters, what do I tell them about how to act, do I tell them no you shouldn’t do this, how do you convey the message in your own family

just create your own song that makes people want to join in on your song, not projecting energy outward, oh I have this truth and you need to see it to, more intangible, its an energetic thing almost

I still like to go to churches to hang out and feel the energy

if you’re in a concert, when you have a group of people sharing, all able to participate, not just one person lecturing, everybody passing around the rock, participate in the dialog, share something important to them

with social media, increased connectedness learn to capitalize on that and bring it together allow people to share their own voice, without the old model the priest was leading the flock, politician leading the flock, everybody

for me its an energetic thing, not so much based on content, there is a role that you do have to say something, not just it, when I was doing zen practice, go in for an interview with the zen priest they ask you coans or different things, always one response is silence, I always kept getting prompted to say, what is your voice, can sit there a bump on a log, its your life, participate in a meaningful way, you’re not gonna reinvent the wheel

part of my practice is to become more grounded, what better way to ground than in the ground, your shit is interconnected to everything, reconnecting you to the universe, you’re not separating from it, your shit is a fertilizers that grows the food you eat in a wonderful cycle

a lot of my practices are to intentionally reconnect myself

priests, men of god, good intentions, I just had the feeling the church as a whole was resisting reconciliation with victims, law suits, that’s the way our society deals with these transgressions

it doesn’t solve the priest trauma, that they obviously experienced to propagate more trauma on the victims if the church would admit it’s fault

that really should be the mission of the church, priests are part of the divine, victims are part of the divine, perpetrators, victims alike, not to shield themselves

just say my heart goes out to everybody in that trauma cycle

Eco-Punks Hacking The Permaculture Design Course TPP208

Ben with Bouquet

In this episode I’m joined by my revered permaculture teacher and issuer of my permaculture design certificate. To protect his identity and allow him appropriate distance from the extreme edginess (permies will laugh) of my current path, he’s taken on a sci fi pseudonym. We discuss the origin story of our epic collaborative brother-from-another-motherhood. We bonded instantly many years ago over our mutual love of nature, science, diy tech, radical activism, the punk politics of resistance, and the unmatched sophistication of subversiveness to be found in the permaculture design movement.

At the time our paths crossed, I had been exposed to permaculture for about 10 years, but only within the year previous to our meeting in the late 2000s had I become seriously engaged in study of the design science. He appeared in my life at the best of all times for me to appreciate his insights and accomplishments. I put my best efforts into earning his respect and approval as a budding permaculturalist. As per the original intent of the founders of permaculture, certified designers are encouraged to develop a mastery of the system in order to embolden them to create their own certification course curriculum with adherence to the fundamental contents and structure of the original permaculture design course. I was blessed to establish a barter relationship with him so that I had an extended mentorship which included and transcended the standard PDC curriculum with more oversight and technical support than would be normally accessible in a traditional 72 hour course. My one-on-one training took place over the course of about a year and a half. He provided guidance through my designs spanning apartment scale gardens, to a warehouse parking lot edible park installation,  to semi-rural farmstead, and various business and community projects in between.

The intent of our discussion in this episode beyond reminiscing on the past, was to establish the integrity of the lineage of my training, and once again seek approve for one of my designs, in this case, the design of my customized permaculture design course curriculum, an adaptation of the way he provided the course for me.

To be expected, I integrate elements of eco and sacred sexuality with tasteful aesthetics and scientific maturity, he provides his feedback and ultimate approval. We share a sense of deep honoring for the irrepressible hacker mindset of the co-founder Bill Mollison. We dare to presume he’d be proud of my attempts to design for the sector of sexual energy, which without a doubt is the most powerful, yet least valued and most poorly managed energy flow pattern in sustainable human settlement design and engineering.

Com and our journey together will begin eligible events Wall, Township on podcast episode number 2089 being joined by Paul Atreides who is the mysterious figure who has played a very important role in my my personal development as a permaculture a designer’s he is the man who I would say provided for me a one-on-one very intensive long-term permaculture training that resulted in me having the confidence in me to issue me the coveted permaculture design certificate which is a 2 to display to the world saying that one has completed the 72-hour minimum course curriculum to be then qualified to operate commercially using the word permaculture according to the guidelines laid out by the the co-founder Bill Mollison many years ago that the late great Bill Mollison and so for those who are not familiar with the term permaculture we’ll get into that a bit but it’s it’s part of how I promote my work as a permaculture designer and Tantra accounts that help people grow spiritually sexually and ecologically and I really feel that I’ve been able to bring a permaculture perspective to a lot of the healing modalities that are out there that sort of what’s often considered woo and new age and energy work and all that you know really bringing a grounded earth science perspective to my work and and all that really comes literally thanks to this man here who for various reasons we’re going to keep his his true identity obscured but we’ll just kind of get into what I what I intend to do is is take this topic of Tanks hacking permaculture to tell both of our stories about how we became radicalized through the punk rock movement and got into college activism and in basically at some point discovered the glory of the permaculture design system and then put our hacker Minds to work to figure out how to count of Avail ourselves of more open source content and actually start to open source permaculture that was its original intention anyway so it was supposed to be resistant to proprietary mechanisms resistant to Academia and but also conducive to people’s right livelihood and conducive to successful businesses and all of that is encoded into the prime directive in the ethics but you know something I’ve come to to know and love and I have grapes with certain aspects of how the movement has evolved then we’re going to talk a bit about our feelings are true feelings about about that stuff too so this is hopefully just going to be a a primer on what what the punk attitude how the punk attitude approaches the permaculture design system and how both of us are working and there are various ways to to really further further the the objectives that that we’ve been working towards for so long using this technology so with all that said call please share what you would like to do about your journey discovering permaculture where you what you’ve accomplished with it within your boundaries of of secrecy about your you know personal details and in time place and manner but maybe some of your accomplishments and and certainly how you’re feeling about the movement today and then we’ll go from there yeah I think you mentioned in any little bit more time and you conversation were now was the creation and Company drive for college activism and full and total Embrace of the Bay Area radical Anarchist activist movement or late night into the early 2000s and there was an awful lot of activities going on that were crime initiate and instigate and inspire people like being in myself to further educate ourselves and look into interesting things about ecology and direct action and art and we can put on different lenses and and look at landscape in different ways and throughout those experiences and Inspirations and I was introduced to the idea permaculture alongside with the writings of philosophical take on natural farming we’re just of enormous impact in my view of the world and my desire to a brave nature and and push a naturalistic approach to rewilding or not necessarily rewilding but even gardening in harmony I’ll take a moment to push this back to YouTube and and and see if anything that I just mentioned kind of jumped out at you and there’s a point that we should send out a little bit more and me and the sky oh yeah I think if we’re going on a certain timeline maybe we could talk about just the from a Terence McKenna perspective there’s this like a Creo time-wave coiling of of of of history repeating where I would say the the anti-globalization movement was a sort of unfortunately not as maybe right maybe it was maybe it wasn’t but it certainly was like the closest thing to a Berkeley 60s movement that had there has been since 9/11 and like we both had that experience of a major boost in that belief that we were part of something timely that we were part of a revolution that we could like almost snap our fingers and topple the entire global system of you know the power elite and that we had you know we had the numbers we had the intelligence and but it also wasn’t sustainable in failed and numerous ways and I’m wondering if I have for you if you want to talk about how the the deeper timelines that permaculture opens up those intergenerational timelines of Earth repair and stewardship you know how that reconciled for you because I fucking burnt out after that yeah that’s that’s really interesting point in the in the 90s to be a more powerful experience than being in Seattle in November 1999 Seattle protest with kind of AA Earth shattering experience if you will or a young eco-activist it was like it was happening it would happen and things were going and you’re absolutely right it’s there seems to be a pressure on on the world bad things were going to change and things were going to be different because it’s people power couple of things to my timeline changed shortly after that I finished calling and the role that I felt I had so much agency in campus activism and so looking for other avenues to exercise the distance our inspiration art, culture whatever you want to call it I was able to hunt down experiences I’m on farm and odd jobs and several International permaculture experiences in putting a PDT in Central America and Pacific in Central America as well my in an ecological framework for you in the latter part of 1000 seconds. Mutual previous experiences with and later drive toward permaculture are an expedition and restoration really drove by a friendship and and collaboration that I know you personally took some major inspiration from and took the opportunity in having a relationship with me through really dive into permaculture stuff and and build York as he did mention time to talk about that yeah I would yet not to reveal anything about you know the the circumstances but it was all of my best efforts to create a sort of lightning rod you know Lighthouse effect of green Consciousness into the punk rock movement like this was still internet was not that sophisticated around the mid-2000s but it was sophisticated enough to wear if I recall you were you would found my old website and where I was doing a lot of you know community outreach doing different projects in the you know I miss SoCal area and and Beyond and just kind of really really trying to find the punks who were not born to die in the gutter like the discharge song in that were actually like figuring out how to reclaim the lost his penis that we that we lost when we when we threw out all the tie dye and you know it’s it landed for some people you know we were able to maintain a certain you know edgy vibin aesthetic but also get you no punks into Gardens and it was you know to me at that time I was you know in my mid-twenties I was trying to create the infrastructure for a healthy ecological Punk hood that I didn’t have when I was a teenager and so it’s always that idea of like living vicariously through through the Next Generation if you can to like kind of fuel yourself from the wounds that you were that you were a mistakes you made it or not so I built this organization and and it was bringing in like lots of of it was really effective at at resonating with people at in finding him so you would come into that. Medium and and that sort of modality tunnel and and at that time I was ya like you said very enthusiastic and charge to two how to get my head wrapped around permaculture and get get to doing it like there’s so many practical modules of experience that you want to have once you start to learn about it and you just want to be like guess I can check that off I have experience doing this and that and that Matt and I kind of cleaned from you when we had started creating a sort of time banking sort of relationship to exchange value and and you were basically my consultant on retainer and I would have your input and an oversight over my very very humble and very microscale to begin with no permaculture designs and you were Supply me with seeds Doc and worms and all of the starter kit stuff as well as the very Advanced and high-level intelligence and and pattern thinking and all of that the more just a more advanced find a Specs on top of the the Practical stuff and the actual cuttings from New Zealand spinach you know it’s like if you haven’t had somebody give you a cutting from New Zealand spinach then basically go home cuz you haven’t even started doing okay you know what it’s like those of those moments where you realize holyshit what what can’t you propagate vegetatively you know now I want to know where I can just go to the local you know Mexican food forest garden in in in like oh and trim things coming out of the defenses and and just stick them in pots and see what sprouts and then end up having grapefruit grape Vines and passion fruits you know choking you to death and all that fun stuff so I mean that’s what comes to mind thinking about how you were able to sort of get me set in motion and in and that was a good I don’t know you’re maybe couple years of pretty much ya me really a greeting from you everything and anything that I could end and I think Dad we’re just we were just figuring out how to kind of hack the LA landscape and the SoCal Landscaping literally hacking off cuttings of things in literally knowing how to spot a legume Tree in a Home Depot parking lot. yeah absolutely it’s a practice in observation of your surroundings and pattern recognition to actually realize what resources you have there I think what you had set up for your website with was very compelling in in several senses as I will keep spinning back to the to the Punk theme but so many aspects of the little punk eco-activist literature in underground DIY magazines from existence do inside products to anything produced by crimefeed or Slug and lettuce there was just such a a vivid body of riding of people doing things other places in the country where if she needs easier to grab Squat and start propagating 606 resor to get something going east coast remember vividly remember reading I think it was where people were you know pack keep moss and Kudzu seeds and and bombing freeway on-ramp and overpass areas just to Rebecca Tate in a create Wildlife Corridor so do you need an inspiring and your connection with the with a puncture unity and what you were trying to create with your organization was an excellent way to connect with something like that and he said I was able to help you out bring you inspiring little super easy things like I need healing spinach cuttings or starter just an interesting thing that can happen when people have inspiration and some passion and even just a little bit of awareness of what they can do to try and get things going yeah man as you say that I’m thinking about all of the places that that tiny little bag of worms propagated to to out so many different people who were who were got that is like at a supply and and they live on to this day and then like they’re the happiest worms that ever lived you know a safe and well taken care of night that’s what’s so beautiful is like you just you get in alignment with I think you know one of your favorite sayings back in the day was and you can probably fill them you know the gap of of where you heard it from but life creates the conditions conducive to more life and that’s kind of like a you know if I see it like a Zen meditation calling you know you can really take that to the fucking bank unit I will jump in real quick and and attribution to that phrase and sentiment and that is teaching from Janine benyus and the organization that is doing absolutely beautiful work to inspire engineers and designers to draw inspiration from nature as well as generate reason to preserve nature and wild men and sacred leave Revere what and it’s all good I think it’s just a distinctly and beautifully captured in an utterance like life created conditions conducive to more life and that’s just totally beautiful you can meditate on that for years and enjoy wear those. And meditation on tell me what was the name of the organization again I got you said Janine Vina Jack Janine Pena venue and they would certainly be easily found with some Google cool alright so with all that said for people who have not discovered much about permaculture I think it would be good idea to episode and I’ll put a link in the show notes in fact I will I will tell I can tell you in just a second which episode it was right now one second it is it is episode number 114 where I did intro to permaculture in ecological design and that was just a a mini-lecture that I gave in a backyard permaculture site that I was working on it was also a budding goddess Temple of swords and and so in that episode you can get more of Amore fully developed introduction to permaculture experience on this podcast but it would be great to just for the sake of this one bring it back to you in your own words as a student like for you to be a student Bill Mollison is like studying Jeep Commando with someone with the you know Dan inosanto and end with Bruce Lee sensitive like a lineage to the source that I appreciate as well and I think you know it’s kind of I don’t know what to say straight but but they’ve adapted the permaculture design course in ways that I think are great it’s appropriate for it to be adapted but there is something to say I guess I should say if you’re up permaculture designer there’s enough Bill Mollison material out there in enough sort of ripped PVC audio and video files out there that that you should know what the source of the original course how that was you know the the structure of how this information was shared by him so I guess I would say it’s if it’s valuable for me to hear you say now especially now years later from your Beginnings in my Beginnings like if you’re asked to introduce this subject to people what’s your elevator pitch for it for permaculture okay I can’t give Justice with an elephant in the elevator pitch is the marriage of the idea that permanent NP sustained through culture so culture does not have to degrade nature Mall smart energy usage can be put toward building resilient Landscapes and cultures that have the ability to become richer and more stable over time that you did it. You nailed it now you can go a feel free for that what I call the stuck in the elevator pitch where you get to just go off and stuff with me so you know Paul Atreides and his words can kill cell would love to have the cloak of anonymity for for certain aspects of things that I could stay right right now Genesis of a permaculture as a marketing started with with Bill Moulton and call Bill Morrison from experiment but really good at marketing and people like you and I with so many brilliant ideas that we couldn’t stop thinking about it it seems so that you know and normally is satisfied disaffected 20 some year old would probably most likely be playing video game chose to read something like a 10 pounds text book about pattern languages and trees and climate and climate tropes and and I don’t know if some other topics from the manual back out there they caught your attention that you spent hours reading on bed yeah for me I see the chapter 14 stuff about the some of the more social I mean obviously I loved all of the ecological stuff but when it got to the the chapter 14 material all about how we can actually hack and re-engineer our social and economic Dynamics to share abundance and to really I mean you know I mean how many how many punk shows did I preach at to the crowd and every half the people were blacked out there was unconscious on consensual basically off all forms of rape all forms of violence all forms of just complete debauchery and just I mean so the and then and then suppose that two is like super hyper leftist socialist organizations that would be a protest and I’m like well they seem like they’ve got people kind of like saluting this ideology and they said somewhat more organized and they get more shit done but then it’s like I got this authoritarian by band and I didn’t see and then you have people like maybe the the hippies and the Rastafarians in Arab super into the Dow of the soil and there’s snow raising their joint to their third eye and they’re super cool looking up at the sky gazing with you know what their eyes closed looking to sign of my I wanted a little bit of all of that I wanted a bit if I discipline my bit of order you know a bit of debauchery and Chaos a bit of Eco spirituality and the social permaculture aspects that the things that got me most thrilled on top of all the ecological stuff which I love and I’m super into the missive of hacking all of these different Gifts of no way they would call ecological Services you know any ecology textbook and improvement course you weren’t just learn to think like MacGyver you know I mean if you like the ATM you like MacGyver and you like to solve problems and build things that were the super elegant but super crafty DIY Contraptions and get all of these amazing functions out of out of this elegant designs like that that really like the practical application turn me on so much but the thing that turn me on the most was definitely this is sense that there is a pathway for word that is is going to steal me from all my cynicism about human about someone called human nature but it’s just like the what felt like an impossible task of like bootstrapping a revolutionary movement everything in chapter 14 and everything about how we can build these these harmonious guilds and treat human human cultural design like a garden and really bring out people’s know what the bare minimum sort of professional development is needed to have like I’ve never seen that really mapped out before like Yeah so basically you you would motivate these different peoples that you have like a bare minimum kind of survival pod you know that you could take this to any environment and the way that it just was this growing mandala that was the most impressive thing to me that that would that all been thawed out and so being able to design the resilient communities in and having Financial awareness and legal awareness 10 but also having him so much of the financial and legal awareness to know about things like protecting your risk Ventures by relinquishing them into a non-profit not just as a tax shelter but to protect yourself from the bad guys and the court like you want to fight corporate rule you have to basically, she put them in the capitalist Marketplace but then protect your intellectual property your land your equipment your seeds that may be competing with Monsanto or whatever and you have to basically use Jedi Mind Tricks against the status quo to protect yourself and just that sophistication of subversive like I’ve never seen anything on that level of sophistication when it comes to being a subversive it’s like this isn’t breaking Windows this isn’t lighting should on fire this isn’t fucking even protesting this is like you says in in grave danger of falling food you know he wasn’t going to say in the forest but almost wasn’t going to just stay in the forest disgusted with Humanity after the 60s he was going to fight back with positivism and not let the bastards roll over everything and he fucking sat there and he absorbed the intelligence of the Fleming also the food for a semi so I always say two things does the aha moment of the food forest and the the Tactical strategic financial and political subversion of chapter 14 if that if that sums it up awesome permaculture MacGyver moment if you will fill I spent some quite a bit of time in the tropics permaculture stuff and some of the forefathers dad got their original training from Bill Mollison in the very very early days who were it’s the Wizards the Elders of Agriculture had an awesome story and and the guy removed and strategies and tactics that are kind of ninja like in and you know it illegal permaculture syncing really affect you and you want to bring it over so you want all of your options you can possibly have with with Steve and Diane wood or fruit growing in and developing diapers food for everything really try till Sunday characters awesome stories about and surrounding trees that they wanted to bring into their country but of course you know there’s and they’re happy to be so many interesting people develop new varieties in Hawaii there were several stories about how the perfect sign wood trimming and fit inside of a snorkel and nobody would ever suspect agricultural Contraband coming through inside of a snorkel case in your graphing techniques it’s very possible to bring in a snorkels worth of the fruit tree that you want to develop and 20 years later you’ve got a genetic stop there that you can share with your community or develop into your own Orchard or maybe it’s going to feel who know if you’ve got amazing MacGyver mentalities doing cool thing with Biology to make their dreams happen and that’s inspiring DIY right for sure for sure and I guess so maybe now we can talk a bit about the the more computer hackers having his stuff like for me you know I was I’m code a little late for the most part I’m good I can cut and paste code you know I can read a little bit but not much and I pretty much rely on the the cyberguy gods above me but I’ve always found ways to I’ve always known crew to ask questions to and who to befriend you know in a symbiotic and not parasitic way hopefully for the most part but I can just go through the chapters of my life knowing like if you’re a revolutionary and you don’t have a geek in your squad like you’re just forget about it you know not not in the modern world like you need to have somebody to help you with that so I’ve always had you know kind of a assassination and and and a love of those who really understood the inner workings of cyberspace more than I did and whatnot in Uno which is kind of like dabble here and there but I’ve used you know I’ve built websites I’ve run and ministered e-commerce and you know I’ve had to just learn whatever I had to learn to do the thing that I wanted to do but I wasn’t like a generalist them in computer science or math anything like that and I certainly a late bloomer to crypto but one of the things that was floating around the internet and are in our era was this thing called the permaculture party pack which was this cycle somebody did the work of compiling this ridiculously absurd compilation of obscure and NM just totally mind-blowing permaculture and otherwise agricultural sustainable teaching tools and and that was just floating around the radical underground for quite a while and probably yeah but I still out there I don’t you know I think that the times have changed a little bit but what I like to talk about is that what you and I are agreed upon at a certain point was that after I had done essentially a number of projects in the number of scales at a number of sites and was starting to I guess get past my get a few you know a few belts an endermite in a few karate belts from the dojo so to speak now and then to go for that black belt of being a certified designer if you want to call it that obvious lyrics degrees beyond that but I wanted to feel like I wanted to have more confidence as a as it as you know at least there a junior-level instructor and I wanted to have more confidence to do workshops in Tofino start to Branch out and and and taking more of a leadership role within you know my community and the larger community and actually build a career doing what I now love to be doing which is all this fun stuff and so we decided that the and I pitched and I’m like well if the if the canonical tagari release of the 72-hour course with Bill Mollison in Geoff Lawton. I believe it Melbourne University I believe somewhere in Australia there was that digitized that what that time it was like I mean it would take however long for people to download that file bit to download that party pack but in that party pack there was that collection of those DVDs which I went ahead later and purchased the legit package of it so that I could feel confident that I had that there was at least one licensed copy in my in my possession so that I wouldn’t be standing upon you know a a a sort of pirated body of knowledge but basically Meep same to you okay look you know I don’t have the money to go off to a permaculture farm and give them two or three grand and take the time off of work to go do that you know I don’t I could I could do the more accessible version of like the local out two weekends a month or one weekend a month thing but also I just don’t have the the capital for it’s still just like a starving artist bunker you know just like not not having that manifest met abundance so so really the hacker mentality and both of us kind of I would say led to this understanding the berries that they’re there is a demand for people who want to take the course and be certified and do this right but there needs to be a more or pants or Sam or at your own pace and more accessible to low-income folks way of approaching is so I took the time myself to watch all of the take notes on and watch all of the course DVD set basically a digitized version of that which was the 72-hour course and then lead the permaculture a designer’s manual cover to cover and have done my design practicum which was all of the projects you had you know supervise me doing over the course of our that long that was a year or more and then we decided that the talent show that out there the requisite of a talent show was Satisfied by you coming to go see my pump down once that was that and then from that point you gave me that seal of approval printing me a certificate and and I I did the research to know and I have citations and quotes of Geoff Lawton saying things to be effective basically in the the spirit of it in the beginnings and you know that I sent you there was like it was basically a Each one teach one kind of approach like if you took the course it would behoove you to master the curriculum enough to be able to go out and teach your own course in the end you know there’s there is some guidance around getting a diploma and nervous but there was lacking infrastructure and then obviously a Changing of the Guard with Moses and passing and and Lawton taking over and now the PRI thing there was a battle the feud between the permaculture Institute in New Mexico and the Permaculture Research Institute and luckily nothing too ugly in terms of like Court battles over you know the trademark or anything but it’s been pretty much the wild west and was kind of like a the industry will sort itself out if your reputable teacher and people like what you do and you know people see that you’re your designs actually work then you will have a sort of natural laissez-faire kind of libertarian approach to who gets to own this title and you know we we took on me I took that and ran with it and I said okay I’m going to do this sort of open-source versioning of a of a PDC and we know we got that Goin and then what that ultimately led to was at the height and peak of my having taken that PVC and run with it is that I made arrangements with the at the time this was Circa 2013 and I was in a location where I had Urban semi-rural small-scale over 10 acres of of a canvas to play with him and I had developed a canvas over the course of about a year and installed the the worm compost in multiple ponds and multiple kitchen Gardens and a food Forest you know a fledgling Food Forest and there was the zone that is so Nation theory of putting multiple concentric circles of different areas of interaction based on how often you going to need to use them. Just in a nutshell I’m going to say that to throw it out there for people that permaculture Zone Theory and basically I I was doing things by the book and I wanted to create a permaculture Training Center where world class instructors could come there and based on the infrastructure that I had installed they would be able to teach their flavor of permaculture and that was tested when we brought the war and brush who is still one of my ultimate favorite permaculture a designer’s because of his spiritual spirituality and his work with indigenous people around the world and and his storytelling and he’s definitely and he did he did the design for Amma the hugging in a so the Tantra he is to me the fucking time should permaculturist par exsalonce cuz he took the design for almost Center and I was there at Quail Springs when he was working on it and you showed me that a time so that I’m not fucking dropping names right now I had him out there chords for weekend and for me that was like the the real ribbon-cutting on the value of the work you had done to train me and to facilitate me and guide me like if he can come out there and he can you know look at this this design on this property and he can teach from it then I know I’m you know I’m on the right path and that that gave me the confidence from that point to reach out to managing director of The Pri USA and invite him over to that site and Pitch to him that he authorized me to have the authority to replicate the PDC format basically that you and I did which is that you know you should have asked you should be able to be you know given access to the the tagari canonical bilmos Geoff Lawton DVD set if we purchase a license for it and we have it available for folks that that should be you know something to do Explorer and and to potentially approval obviously there’s probably more intricate licensing that that could and should be done but at least the concept was there for me to share with him and the idea that a senior permaculture designer could come in and basically a couple times a year take a batch of students who had gone through that DVD course and who had done work on that property you took basically as they’re going to the course they’re actually okay so now you do a course module now you go out to the property where there are Works in progress of the different modules of the different functional parts of the design whether it’s like repairing the chicken factory or extending the moving some material around a building at a thermophilic compost whatever it is is all of those things are are are just in the flow influx happening on the property so you should be able to do the the in the classroom study material and then go out on the land and do the Practical aspect of it build the skills and develop the skill sets and then also have access to the designer’s manual which now if I do it if I do it now I’m going to say we’d have the students read the introduction to permaculture ebook rather than the designer’s manual because I think that’s sufficient to get people going no without having to go through all of that technical minutiae which is a fucking rocket science in the In The Bleak the big black book but that was where it left off and then you know for me all hell broke loose I had a spiritual emergency and I had to let it all just biodegrade everything I had built basically we just brought it in place and things fell apart for me financially and I’m personally but but that that outline for a at your own pace in low-income open source PBC it still exists and now as of this very moment I’m being called to to bring it back to life so that’s why I really wanted to have you on and for us to talk shop about this about the punk rock ethics and the hacker ethics and the the sort of I mean I think I think if I had the opportunity to meet with Bill on the astral plane and he knows that I went on the fucking Joan Rivers show and fucking brat and I brought the permaculture to the Joan Rivers show and she was happy she wanted to be trans apocalyptic she wanted to fucking bring the chickens into the into her backyard and turn her fucking swimming pool into a fish pond that was something that bill Mollison would fucking give me a pat on the back for it I would say so anyway that’s just that’s me sort of giving my my my dissertation defense if you will there anybody out there who is like wanting to show me or love me for this I had to just going to bring it out like that so and now you can tell me you know what you think about my my fucking my evil plans to conquer the world with benevolent egalitarian and access the permaculture it is an idea that has been wanting to happen for as long as as as long as has been teaching class like he said it it does go back to the very beginning every student should become a teacher of the permaculture are in there all right and it should have been affected in their mind enough that they would want to teach people that is freaking awesome don’t you realize you could be building soil there that you realize it could be slowing down water there don’t you realize you could be generated vegetation and any other ideas I meant to be shared and it spread at some people absolutely need to pay for it and pay full price and other people need that access that inspiration for free just like it has he said your your Sweat Equity I wouldn’t call it free your Sweat Equity and and willingness to indulge your self in the information and workout it that was the equity required to get you access to the knowledge to enjoy playing with permaculture and make it fruitful for yourself and your community and it seems like another inflection point where it’s about to become even more purple which is awesome yeah man I’m going to I’m going to try as it is another funny bit here if you’re good to go for another few minutes how are you doing on time and cool alright so I think that this would be a fun sort of you know pecan on the experience to get into not to get too deep into the well this this is more fun than the people who are who are more used to hearing me talk about sexy time stuff on this podcast this is where it is and it is that you know when I was when I mentioned being on the urban Homestead ish Farm property in LA area this was around 2012-2013 my past with sex work with with extreme activism with punk rock like all that stuff was was compartmentalised and shelved away because at that time I was developing with a very astute love partner business partner who who shall remain unnamed for now but if you if you watch the Joan Rivers show you can see us together at at are at the peak of our glorious as a power couple that was manifesting and you know kicking ass and taking names but she cleaned up my act a lot when I met her I was talking about the zombie apocalypse and I was putting out punk rock jeans called survive 2012 and a head fucking like I took Boy Scouts clipart and I put Mohawks and fucking like studs on it very much in that the deep in the crust Punk aesthetic and the profane existence call him was going and it was like we’re getting ready for the zombie apocalypse and permaculture the only fucking way the punks are going to survive you know I wasn’t thinking about marketing to West LA high-end clientele and getting on the Joan Rivers show that was all that the Witchcraft of this dear woman who was a very wealthy woman you had a very amazing career and basically she was suno pruning those aspects of Authority or aspects of my my true character and and I I respected it I was like cool with you know being kind of funeral just having to up my professional game and in change my parents a little bit and then be able to work with her and work together and build a brand and we we built this brand that it’s also going to be sort of it he has had it’s it’s it’s our cue nobody needs it’s going to come back but really it was an opportunity for me to engage with Society at large on a totally different level toy different ear and so we were creating opportunities for very family-friendly brand and marketing and in and what not and so you know we put together a portfolio of our projects and what we have been doing on the property together and what our brand was trying to do and I had like a I even had a suit Panico superhero mascot that I was doing and very much working at the the G-rated and mainstream kind of level of approaching people and business development of What Not and so it one of the the things that we did since she who is so well-connected is if there is a very one of the most famous actors of all time was a friend of hers was one of his his top assistant was a close friend of hers and the friend of of the property and what not and and we thought she was like we need to pitch all the stuff we’re doing to have a reality TV show we want to do a reality TV show of how we’re doing permaculture and survival and you know it can be something that’s like very very mainstream friendly and what not and so I put together a bunch of stuff for a little packet oral presentation and we showed the guy we’re doing this and we’re doing that and we’re doing this and that and this and that and he looks at anyssa psych not he’s scratching his head and it’s like kind of frustrated and kind of distraught and he basically just says I’m sorry guys I hate being a basic hate to be cynical but people aren’t going to be interested in this like it’s too it’s too G-rated you need basically you need to make you said you need to make permaculture sexy and he meant that as more of like if you want to compete with people’s eyeballs for attention like it’s going to have to be edgier than than than what you’re doing and how you’re not going to maybe you know your mascot could become the next SpongeBob or something but most likely you know you need to just like except how cynical about this reality is and and think about you know you would have to be asking you would have to be if you want to reality TV show it has to all be about sexual politics and drama amongst adults or teens and that’s the only way anything’s going to sell it so just you know either do that or do you not think I’m sad and disappointing and it was kind of a cliffhanger but as I as you know from that point if you were to cut the movie script right there is cut the scene there of him planting that seed and then I go through my Dark Night of the soul and everything kind of dissolves in Melts the way and I go through this hero’s journey into the Shadow and come out as a sex worker and has like a sexual wounded sexual healer and I become a tantric Shaman and all this fancy-schmancy you know stuff and start getting back into doing porn and and it’s like but I never stopped being a fucking as a permaculture designer and I never stopped seeing opportunity to transmute and transform waste into resources and valuing the fucking marginal so I’m like I look at making permaculture sexy and I said thinking about you know I’m doing all these Landscaping gigs in Beverly Hills and west side and stuff it’s like I wonder who has the Landscaping contract for the Playboy Mansion because give me the damn shame that I can just imagine all these bunnies with no no carrots to eat out of their own permaculture Garden like somebody needs to sell that now that is what if I pitch that to that guy now hey we’re going to make permaculture sexy let us do a permaculture Makeover at the Playboy mansion and we can take pictures of the bunnies eating carrots and they grew themselves you know that that’s where I started to bring the the perfect culture you know aspect back together and Bill Mollison is definitely a lecherous bastard and in and there’s plenty of evidence of that so he would not take offense to what I’m saying now but put the that’s kind of that was a joke of this coming full circle but another aspect is just that if I take making permaculture sexy as if prime directive and I look at okay you know I can only be my sexual Capital also we talked about the different forms of capital that’s not on the list and sexuality as a as a vector as a as a sector these are permaculture jargon for understanding flows of energy sexuality Flows In and Out of a site and such a deep fundamental way but it gets neglected overlooking design and not a lot of people are designing for let’s say different relationship structures or or designing for maybe the tagari farm I believe it’s in porch Spain or Portugal like they’re actually doing permaculture with with the sexuality a sexually intelligent design aspect and so it’s just really an itch that far behind the curve as far as everything else in permaculture so it didn’t make sense for me to take up that cause and to start talking about sexuality permaculture designing sites and systems that account for these flows of energy and so where where I’m knowing that there are limitations to my sexual Capital potential the knowing that when I discovered and getting back into the adult industry at cycle wait a minute these models and these porn actresses they actually charge very little money to do all kinds of different shoots like they are used to standing in front of holding cigarettes and booze and standing in front of sports cars and literally you know if you’re a model who were who is like a top-ranking model on modelmayhem.com or you’re the which is the most famous fanciest pornstar in the world your your day rate and your half-day rate in your hour rate it’s actually not that much for anybody who who wanted to like me make permaculture sexy to start to hire these people and start to actually put them in the landscape put them into permaculture designs and have them start to teach and have them start to demonstrate and let them become the teachers of permaculture that would fulfill that directive to make permaculture sexy so fast forward from that planting the seed of that directive to me doing my best to integrate permaculture with my work and my offerings but knowing the limitation I have maybe even a greater leap of faith and and risk and and risque if you will to be like okay well you don’t want to listen to Jeff lot and talk about permaculture you don’t want to listen to Paul Wheaton talk about permaculture you don’t listen to Jack spearco talk about permaculture how about the Playboy that are the play girl of the month you know I mean talk about permaculture then we’re cooking with grease and not is my you know hack that’s my function and and it’s starting to move and now I will be certifying some of these models and pornstars excetera excetera giving them the course that I had through you and modifying adapting it to their lifestyle and their schedule and beer you know availability and their interests and pretty soon I would dare say it’s going to cost very little money to have huge cultural leverage with their millions of followers and their millions of likes and just all of that capital of that Social Capital social media Capital merging that with the sexual capital and putting it into a holistic permaculture design where there’s a potential for the mean the games and the contest and like when I see what these models and and pornstars do on their social media to like riled up in and get their fans to participate in some contest to see them wearing some new outfit or whatever the fuck it is like you know when you put it very well in this conversation about the way that you’re mine shifts where you see opportunity for ecological from for helping life be conducive to more life you see those opportunities everywhere and it’s like there’s a limit to what people like you and me who aren’t multi-million follower Instagram models or whatever there’s a limit to how much we can transmit that but if they start to incentivize their fan base and they say yeah you want to have a date with me well you got to plant a tree to do that and if you plant a tree and you can prove it with the a video of you doing it then maybe you get you entered the raffle to have a nice date was Peter sup expect they do the most ridiculous shit and people are like men they’re abused frustrated sexual needs are being just totally manipulated by the door the whole capitalist wasteful system and if only it could be more elegantly finessed so that there was an alignment of ecological values and sexual gratification sexual fulfillment and the titillation of tits and ass you know we could really be where Jeff on says we used to be which is the most beneficial element in the system that humans can be that and I think it just takes putting that fucking carry it in front of you know the right energy and getting getting that frustrated Sexual Energy to actually serve serve Gaia and who better than Ben Ben some of these models which I determine undiscovered are actually quite quite an expensive to hire and I’m asking to do things far less intrusive and far less the grading than what they’re getting acid Dubai every other person who’s Contracting with them so that’s that’s my bite bite the next chunk of a thesis that I have found out there on the design charrette table setup for YouTube channel there you have it man that’s that’s the monster that you created in and I think Bill would be fucking having a shity than Grande right now if you could know about it he would absolutely absolutely love it I am sure that well good job then I love where you were at life and Imagination that has taken you and I look forward to what you able to produce and where they do in the future I thank you for that I think just the ad just as simply put if you think we both know anybody who you got to meet him personally but anybody who is Coosa been able to stand and stomach more than five minutes of his form of humor you know you would get it yeah he would think that this was a great hack and I do it to you know in that Spirit of honoring the lineages of teachers and the you know it’s not going to be everybody’s cup of tea but you know I wanted to have that that that thought process kind of vetted you know and have you sound soundboard on that and that’s pretty much my yeah that’s it’s a huge gift from you to me to to allow me to elaborate to that degree and to bear with me on that and now two were not me we’re not going to we’re not promoting anything particularly of yours we’re not funneling people to your websites or to your your Works per se but while you have a supper 290 which anytime you’re welcome back of course and we’ll probably check in on things in the future but this kind of is like we’re like time-stamping the blockchain Innocence by having this conversation we’re we’re establishing the the the spirit of resistance in this bizarre and unique format of of you and me talking about this stuff right now and so like with this opportunity that you have to speak from your heart and soul and everything you’ve learned in all the places you’ve arrived at I would love for you to just take over on however much time you’re comfortable with and like advise me on what you’ve learned and where you’re at and you know we talked about maybe busting some myths or at least talking putting some critique on on a permaculture movement if if you like but I just want to say my I rest my case for sexual pervert culture and fucking punk stacking permaculture and now you have what is snow humble audience to speak to but it will be growing over time and when we when we publish this episode there will be you know hopefully copies of it preserves you know for time immemorial and it will be something that people can look back on so it’s it it may age with Grace and it may it may continue to bear fruit so so feel free with that said to you know bestow whatever wisdom you’d like and doesn’t have to have any new no correlation to what I said that was just me putting in my my little timestamp yeah I I’m not sure that I would have so much more to say about the my recent learning so I would maybe just invite people to take those moments to appreciate life and dive into some methadone and and enjoy it and and dig on some of the philosophy and maybe even get into the weeds and read up on some FH King farmers of forty centuries and just think about where we’re at now and where we cooking in 10,000 years as Humanity probably not doing as bad as you think we’re doing I would say we’re probably doing a hell of a lot better than your mind thinks we’re doing and those are the kind of thoughts that I guess I’m working with at the moment so yeah if you if you don’t mind I’ll try to teach him we’re out of there we talked about futurism before and talked about you know that the long now and Kurzweil and that reconciling of amor primitivist perspective with the Amor techno Optimist perspective so you know now that you kind of yeah, you kind of shared a couple of resources do you want to just like if you were to put together your own party pack let’s say of the things that Arthur’s resource is not to say that we’re going to do that or you know take that on but but I would be curious to know if you would want to elaborate on just lists of influences that you had you know people and anything that you would consider to be a valuable resource like that go ahead and add some more to that list and then I think we’ll call the show if we’re if we’re happy with that where I would throw some ideas is Imagine The Long now I would say Stewart brand book and any kokrak minted whole earth discipline is a great place to start and that’s that’s got a lot of ecological heresy that he presents if he will end the end that can change your mind on a few thing and if you’re looking to change your minds on you know being super down about the world’s going to hell in a handbasket and and you’ve been deeply involved in send Derek Jensen work or something like that I would definitely say grab a list of books by Steven Pinker the better angels of our nature Matt Ridley the rational Optimist Peter diamandis abundance and I I guess like you said Ray Kurzweil The Singularity is near and think about radical demonetizing EFM realizing technology can help perpetuate ecological regeneration and human flourishing because not opposed you know that the system to develop technology is certainly not purposefully and willingly opposed to regenerating the system in fact I think trying to Mary conservation with technological Advance is providing a very bright halfway towards the future and with that in mind never disregard the sacred and always take a moment to reflect back ten thousand or more years rely on wisdom to guide you I guess that’s about that’s about all I have on those ramble that’s beautiful man I just reminds me of the one thing one thing I’ll close with your which is believed this was in that Mollison Lawton PC where he says basically what you do in your permaculture design should have worked where you are a thousand years ago and it should work where you are a thousand years from now and that is like the that’s another thing to meditate on you know yes absolutely and it goes with that it’s like can you be high-tech as you want and be compliant with nature the same time you know yeah right on Manuel crazy insane bulletin things that you like super counterintuitive in and could totally like this this is an awesome one so I would assume eco-warriors would think that petroleum products are all super negative there are some really interesting very underground moles and project in the Middle East where he actually use petroleum product to erosion and reverse the desertification and I think that if it’s worth not not condemning every tool just because of where it came from their options to use just about every tool for potential regenerative benefit. Will pay huge dividends in the 1000 to 10000 your time scale is very tantric in a sense that Township pushes you to towards the taboo and the transgressions that help you realize non-duality and integration and break your phobias and and understand you know every tool in the toolbox with with the ethics of right action ultimately it with the bigger picture in mind so that’s another another guy want anything else before we wrap I think that’s good cool man all right well that. Comes full circle we I think we crushed it we’re talking about Punk punks hacking critical and we did a massive thank you so much this is been a huge honor and you know the respect that any martial artist would have for their Sensei or any Yogi would have for the guru I have that for you and I absolutely wish you the best and I live to make you proud and hopefully you know if tall is the the business logic pants out well then there will be yields yields upon year olds to to share and to feed back into more fun and more teaching and just confusing being conducive to more life men awesome awesome all right that we have a great evening and we’ll be in touch please go to www.crunch.com can cook on the Donate button to help support the show in addition to sustaining and improving the podcast your donations will help establish permaculture goddess Temple up here by Tycho logical employment for single mothers Please Subscribe and share your favorite episodes if you have questions or comments feel free to leave a voicemail at 18275 1593 or emo band at Tantra Punk. Yantra Garden picIn this episode I share a recording of a recent introduction to permaculture talk I gave at the grand opening of a new home scale goddess temple where I have been working with a team of dear friends to design and install gardens and ecosystemic designs.   In the talk I combine guided meditation with an exploration of some of the basic philosophies and principles and key terms taught in the permaculture design system.

Com and our journey together will begin hello dear beloved podcast episode number 114 this episode is a recording of a lecture I gave recently it was a permaculture design introduction talk that I gave at a a new permaculture goddess temple in the works that I’m helping to co-develop with some dear friends and that should be the home of quite a number of really exciting activities and programs and projects so more will be forthcoming on that but I thought I would share this with the podcast listeners it’s really most of my day job and clean green Prana energy comes from and where the way that I’m able to stay positive and hopeful and connected to Gaia and really recharge and reconnect and this is just a really kind of meditative reverie exploring the philosophies and the science and mechanics of permaculture from a broad stroke perspective and I hope you enjoy them also going to end with the inclusion of a poem I wrote several years ago which is kind of been to the guiding pass the groove that I carved out and intentionally to to be on and it’s cuz the poem called permaculture goddess Temple so I hope you enjoy your stay before change the overhead does anyone want to talk about what comes to mind when they hear that word I say that word New Guinea it is that exactly definition keywords best films haikus so it’s actually a contraction it’s kind of like a clever marketing Instagram like instant or whatever that would be its permanent culture permanent agriculture does are two different interchangeable sort of ways of looking at it. The founder came up with back in the mid-seventies early to mid-seventies in Australia little bit about 2 or so there was a beautiful man whose name was Bill Mollison he passed away not too long ago and so I have a moment of silence to thank him for putting all this body of this body work together may you rest in peace but not for too long cuz you needed to come back and yeah in the next life so there’s many things to say about Bill Mollison he was definitely a head of course the vibration a lot of people would say he was a prickly pear he likes to push people’s buttons and get under the skin and really agitate people’s assumptions about everything about the way we grow food the way we were late to the land the way we use resources and build physical structures and economic systems political systems he is very critical and he learned that I’d stay here in the right to be very critical because he works he was a logger so he spent a lot of time destroyer in the forest and got to be intimately aware of how destructive that that practice was and he worked as a naturalist he was a professor he has he had an amazing woman that’s just the tip of the iceberg his level of particular study of the natural world is really unmatched I think by almost anyone else so he definitely has put in the hours to to have the strong opinions and the without going too much into his personal life story that the real take home about his life’s work that led to the development of this teaching program called permaculture design it was really his understanding that the simplest most glaring most disastrous sort of inescapable fact of what’s wrong with just the food system agricultural food system right it’s it’s I’m going to I’m going to help us I’m going to guide us to that realization the same realization that you know that he came to that he has popularized through his words and it’s nice to take this journey in the form of the meditation so if you close your eyes and just drop into your body a bit and take some deep breaths in through the nose out through the mouth taking your time feeling a breath go deep into the the deli you can even put your hand on on your belly to feel the belly expand as the the Deep regrets get is as far as they can and just anchor yourself into your observation into the smells the sounds of the environment that were surrounded by and even internal Sensations intuitions visions there’s so many different visitor information and we can pay attention to helps to drop into the meditative state to be able to start to explore the inner and outer environments this is a one of the key instruments in the permaculture design system is to enter a meditative state to observe and we’ll talk more about that later but what I want to set up in your imagination in your mind’s eye is a juxtaposition of imagery on one side you can pick the side doesn’t matter which side but can one side of your cinematic display your theater of imagination conjure the images of modern industrial agriculture factory farm cafo operations Mass fields of just one single crop being grown for one cycle of production in replanting on an annual basis you have this very highly program systematized mechanized chemicalize human engineered system that is our modern so-called conventional IE not traditional and not organic the conventional way of farming in the modern world based on chemical fertilizers chemical pesticides herbicides and machine and animal labor mostly and also slave labor and that’s a really desolate landscape a degrading landscape is constantly being depleted and is ultimately turn into a sterile functionally sterile desert that is the non-regenerative unsustainable and very recent very patriarchal pattern of forcing the will of mechanized production onto a landscape with a certain set of intentions that will will will ponder the intentions later but for now it’s just really the sink into that imagery this concentration camp of mechanized control where everything originally on the landscape is displaced there’s no competition allowed there can be no other forms of life in this entire agricultural landscape that isn’t allowed so there’s Spencer’s up. Poisons there’s traps there’s just the thoughtless careless destruction of all life and habitats by trucks and airplanes and machines and even the sound pollution with save all the different machines at work creating this hellish environment that’s where our food comes from and if you look at the esoteric side of that or the the so-called spiritual side of that there’s also the implications of what does vibrations of pain and suffering how those affect the atomic structure is the Quantum building blocks of the food that we consume so I invite you to breathe that out that’s a really kind of polluted gnarly funky 5222 whole your mind’s eye and just sort of exhale that out Excel that toxic experience out and no turn to the opposite side in your mind’s eye and we’re going to be like Bob Ross and we’re going to paint and natural landscape where we’re going to discover a few things together so some happy trees and I’m so glad this isn’t skipping a generation you you’re getting a mean so much to me an idea I want us to live in ecological Landscapes that Bob Ross himself to assist your heart with his rendered for us as the landscape design Architects oh if we look at a natural ecosystem on the land would say where there is Bluegrass some open Prairie type gland some ponds and lakes and streams and rivers and just the zoom out as far as you have to in your mind’s eye to be able to get a really good picture of mountains and valleys in river deltas and all these different unique overlapping systems within systems all functioning without any human intervention or perhaps with indigenous traditional human intervention it’s almost invisible you wouldn’t even know that it’s being tended or garden because it looks so wild and so natural and so on an ordered so on programming so wild and I’m free and resilient soap if we sin of zoom in now from having taken in that larger expansive a snapshot of nature functioning on its own we can observe a number of very important functional system elements that we can start to apply to the damage Landscapes that were inheriting in the modern world of post industrial chemical agriculture we can actually start taking that Bob Ross Bob Ross brush and and paint some of those systems back onto and graft and borrow from the functioning natural systems borrow the deprince the engineering principles more than you know some of the seeds some of the wildcrafted herbs in one pot but but we want to leave while nature it is an indigenous maintain wild natural ends as intact as possible but we can just understand it spend time studying it and we can actually begin to repair what was on the other side so does anyone want to describe what some of the things that come out into the Mind’s Eye when you look at when you zoom in to the point where a grassland or a prairie begins to transition into a woodland for a forest what does that look like in your mind’s eye anyone Bueller damn you said a magic word in there but I’m going to come back to us so thank you anyway any other observations about this history of from overlapping transition between the grassland and the Woodland the people involved these are people coming together creating a new land using the old resources into the year black people any other thoughts are observations about this this world we’re looking at contrast the Shadows face so the magic word that was spoken and thank you for all those brush Strokes the magic word that was spoken that to one of the most important keywords in the permaculture design system is that weird Edge and in this context it’s used to draw attention to that point of transition between two different types of ecosystem sometimes you’ll hear this called biomes or ecotone there’s different ecology ecological scientific terms and pick that are used get too much into detail on those but the more broad concept is that as a rule as a a constant in nature you’re pretty much always guaranteed to see a higher density of life-forms mostly cooperating together to create conditions conducive to more life so let’s life’s mission statement is exemplified in his Edge zones where you see a maximum density does beneficial interrelationships wear some species that require shade or being shaded by species that have brought her leave but safe so there’s also a species that require certain elements to be in the soil that they can’t get by any other means they have to cuddle up two species that would provide that and also all of the different Dynamics within the soil and the Dynamics of pests in predator and prey consumers decomposers and producers so many different interacting relationships and more of those relationships are happening where that grasslands meets the forest and you have a sort of diagonal tapering gradient effect going from the ground up to the trees and so now I’m going to zoom in even closer in an essay There’s an opportunity or equal in inches that cluster at these Edge zones for example Vines can grow up there’s still sunlight hitting that outer edge of the forest but once you get into that Forest it’s mostly shaded out so there’s very little of growing on the forest floor because the taller upper canopy of the trees is pretty much consuming all the sunlight and you occasionally see little glaives openings in Forest systems where you’ll see light coming in in life starting over the new little little little system of edges is coming together so you know next time you’re out in the in the wilderness you see what it looks like to be a cluster of Life standing out in the landscape it could be a low point in a valley a low point in a canyon where you see well it’s totally green resolve Lush where there’s a trickle of water to sustain in a year-round there’s lots of that around Southern California and you can see that oh well there is an opportunity for multiple like infinite potential diverse interactions among species that are meeting at these edges so that’s the polar opposite of what we have become accustomed to in this industrial agricultural model and you know if we put if we put our childlike inquisitive curious minds to it we might actually shed the blind assumptions in the Serta zombie-like acceptance of well anything technological better anything human engineer to Superior whatever is in the man says is the way it’s got to be if we just in the state of meditation find it easier to just question gently question what’s wrong with this picture what’s wrong with how the commercialized agricultural Industries have I sort of completely lost the ability to understand how biological production happens on Earth so here’s a simpler way to kind of make a joke out of it so does it does a forest need people to come out and fertilize it I know right somehow it fertilizes itself does it need people to come out and water it with irrigation or does it somehow manage and maintain moisture levels sufficient to stay hydrated in Grove times of life I mean very dense High productive life no no no fertilizer no irrigation does it need people to come out and plant it to constantly manage it to pull weeds in to make sure that everything grows by standing over it and fighting off all the birds and all the critters to keep them from eating the seeds in from ruining your garden or attacking your basal or whatever you know no it just magically it’s the essence of the forest building nature of our planet that foresting nature of our planet figured out how to intelligently dare I say consciously Pole from these abundant resources sunlight moisture the minerals in the soil the decaying organic material in the soil and to create a symphony and Orchestra of potentially infinite stacked layers of species all ultimately creating a balance within that analogy is used riding a bike at 6 it’s resilient it’s constantly responding to weather changes and droughts and floods and all these different changing parameters but on the whole it’s very resilient and of course if we were to measure what’s called biomass measure the weight of the biomass of that wild forest ecosystem and compare it to a cornfield which is going to win which is going to be heavier in production it’s the national forest ecosystem in part of the reason for that there’s a few things I’ll break it down you know but part of the reason for that one I’ll just list a few but few points of way white how is that possible why is that well the forest is stacking layers vertically it’s not just one single tree crop is not an orchard is not a Orchard or just one single type of tree is not a it’s not a field of one bean or grain perceived it’s not to a patch of a certain type of lettuce that is only one species in an entire massive ecosystem which has the potential to capture how much sunlight so verdict the vertical trellising the way that nature makes you Civ the aspect of the way the sun comes down and it’s in his before in his to ground it it it consumes life will eat up and consume as much of that sunlight is it possibly can and it will grow on top of and an intertwining entangle and fueled this Stairway to Heaven together in this beautiful Orchestra and Symphony of a corporation in order to maximize the potential for life so the vertical aspect of important the other another aspect is at it’s not just producing one vegetable or fruit or sieved Etc product one time in a year to then be tilled in be stagnant there’s so many different interlocking layers they’re producing all of those things at staggered in different times throughout the year so you have multiple yields this is another key word in permaculture is the gold one of the goals is to always obtain a yield so the yield the weight of one annual production of what’s a corn from a monoculture monoculture meaning one plant on the Landscaping plan to it’s very little it has very little weight because it’s only happening once a year it’s only one story high and it’s only one plant which makes it susceptible to pest makes it an easy target and pest can invade with no obstruction from other plants that provide shelter other beneficial natural predators that would be the the natural predators of the pets so that they will be kept in Balance so when you strip away all of those layers of natural wisdom in the forest ecosystem you have this prison camp for life that is very unsustainable it’s not resilient it does not produce high yields it only it only really is successful at one thing and I’ll I’ll ask for your help to to figure out what that thing is so if a force production system is producing all of this abundant diversity for who what everybody all life who joins in the party than the potluck doing cleaner part doing their role doing the work they need to do you know the worms are turning the soil over in a very elegant very energy efficient manner humans can be scattering seeds when they eat something and then they do the thing you know a little further down always extending the forest birds are dropping phosphorus and key locations where they post up and so on and so on everyone is has a duty plays a role and gets plenty in in in in most cases and if there is a shift in the climate shifts in the weather shifts in the level of moisture it’s adaptable because there’s so much so much flexibility in that system so now if you Nature’s intention is to create free food for everything everyone who pulls your weed gets to be fed in the commercialize industrial food system that we were exploring earlier what’s the intention of that system anyone bright to be able to limit access and and Stack Up The Benjamins to be able to have private proprietary ownership and to deprive human beings of the free access to food to deprive all life from Nature’s ever productive abundance that’s free or it comes it at a price that’s affordable in an average Ford a 4 hour a day maximum typical gather hunt wave of living landscape or no more vegan friendly if you will the the Horticultural societies that are growing food there they’re not toiling to do it there working with the natural systems in a lot of those cultures you can’t even tell it doesn’t look like what we think of as a farm is not a grid it’s more of a jungle and we’re just adding to the Natural system and we’re not getting along and we’re we’re choosing the species in our Gardens that favor us but don’t disrupt or fundamentally undermine the wisdom of how these systems work how they have been optimized for three and a half at least billion years of life figuring out how to make the best use of the mineral is the sun the water Etc so what permaculture design offers us bring it back to the founder Bill Mollison and his assistant David Holmgren they put forth a thesis in the 1970s after doing rigorous research and study the simple aha moment of Revelations that in a word what we need to be doing if we want to reverse-engineer the abundance of that wild ecosystem of course we need to change our politics and economics so that the will to have Equitable food supply and food security is more powerful than the denominator patriarchal capitalist Pig so I take that back so you have to ship the social structures in and in the thinking around his stuff of course and that’s you know a lot of people are working on those kind of movements but there’s a scientific mechanical technical subtlety that a lot of people trying to change the world have overlooked which is this sort of secret well send it it’s when we look at it and it has a revelation that we see why this how do they keep the secret from us it’s such a no-brainer so the word the secret magic word is perennial perennial does anyone know what that word means in the context of Bring It On if it’s not a classic Botanical compared to what you know if you go to the Garden Center annuals and perennials sections right so does that narrow down is he going to want it what will arrive at it together so what is annual what does annual mean just has a word nearly right okay so exactly so perennial even if you don’t never heard the word before what could that possibly be in exactly it produces more than one year old weather within it typically it’s used to describe plants that are going to plant them once and they’re going to stay alive and just keep cranking and keep cranking keep cranking for decades if not hundreds if not thousands of years depending on the species so That’s The Sweet Spot that’s what I want to really set up as the introduction to what were what permaculture is is really the foundation of it that the core of it from which so many more layers of Revelation Revelation have have grown out of but this was the key it’s ridiculous to think of it as a discovery because you can see it everywhere mean we’re surrounded by perennials we just have been fooled and been duped to now put two and two together and connect the dots and say hey if we want free food for everybody forever we don’t need giant properties to grow giant fuels to feed ourselves in the Invictus was sort of the more of a a leftist red communist kind of hammer and sickle right we don’t need to control nature with tools and machines to that extent and so that the proletarian Revolution can happen and I’m not to get too political with the reason I bring it up is it taking a step back from mechanized agricultural thinking we can actually say you know what with with this sort of ecological origami that a forest does we can fold the entire forest ecosystem into a backyard and now will be a good time to open your eyes and see you know we have just the beginning of this is the sort of scaffolding for a food Forest that we’re going to be building here where we have all the different elements this is it a worm compost the beginning will have a more ornate more down to earth Clay Pot that will kind of drain the water through so we can so we can harvest the the fertility from it this is been going for quite a while already so it’s already pretty much ready to use so we’re going to start putting our food scraps into the system is they don’t like the light so I’m not going to bother too much but these are red red wiggler worms can use as fish bait so you can get them you can rescue them in a very Buddhist sense from the from the fishing store but yeah they do the work of breaking down all of our food scraps from the kitchen and do it in a very fast and efficient manner and they produce at a compost product that’s the most nutrient-dense of all almost all Campos products and you don’t have to you don’t like a lot of people have to make compost in the world just by turning that pile for days and days and days by hand fits a good workout but they’ll do that work for you while you sleep so again leveraging the intelligence of nature so we’re just going to set that up but so I guess I want to kind of map Ankara secure and speak through what we’ve got going on here and how an inmate be able to merge their systems right so let’s say this is this is LA this is the this is the rest of LA to we haven’t got to yet and this is the the part of it that we have been given permission by the people who overthrew the government of the system we want to live an abundant wild natural ecosystem that produces free food for everybody all the time so that we can spend more time swinging hammock sand writing music and singing songs and dancing and enjoying a star is in building beautiful cultures and living beautifully so now that we have that power we’re reclaiming the land and we’re starting this is what I do for a living for my day job I’m actually doing lawn makeovers front and back yard line makeovers almost every day of the week it’s it’s it’s a struggle to get people to want to grow mostly food but at least they’re planting native plants and they’re getting more drought tolerant plants but the first step to this makeover of reclaiming the power of the forest is to block out the weeds it’s not too bad right here but you’ll see over there be most if I believe this is one of Hitler’s final conspiracies now I don’t I can’t prove that but Bermuda grass is like this it’s almost like a collectible barbed wire but it’s a live I mean to I spend most of most of my work comes from removing the stuff and I know it has its place perfectly nestled into a natural system somewhere but I don’t know I don’t know I’ve never found it not to be you know they say rampageous but in order to actually accelerate the forest building process we have to block out these unsustainable unnatural mitomano call sharmaine a grass lawn is a monoculture like any other it’s if you could be a cornfield it’s actually yeah it’s actually it’s a lot of grasses that we’ve gone overboard with but you can have a line with multiple species of you know Clover and all kinds of different beneficial diverse low-growing vegetation that you can walk on and you can play games on you know and it’ll grow back even strawberries so this disconnected all be strawberries you know and we got some over there actually so from the ground up where we’re actually what this mulch is doing is actually mimicking the natural Leaf litter and did limbs dropping from a forest so you know if if we had that the right size chipper we will we will be actually repurposing these branches that we’ve that James still and he prune back recently we will be marching that up and actually this is like scab material there’s nowhere and nature unless it is a desert naturally where you’re going to see bare soil it’s always dressed up going wherever there’s any potential for it so we’re helping it along we’re borrowing some of the forest vegetation so we can mimic this effect and actually do what the forest does which is retain moisture deep in this there’s actual most and said once that every 3 in of forest floor routines one inch of water so basically it’s suspended in this fun this is such spongy material I mean okay you’re perfect so if you see the sun has dried out from whenever if it was the rain or if this was overflowing let’s just say there was a rain event and it looks like it’s all dried out but look look at all of that moisture that’s staying I mean it’s ridiculous so there’s no that’s why I tell Forest doesn’t this when you know you could have one rain get into a little pocket of this kind of mulch and months later it can grow seeds out of it because it has this storage tank of water just suspended in these fine carbonaceous materials that have dropped from above so what do they do and agricultural Farms when they take the crap they take they take the vegetable or whatever the the product is that they want to sell and then take everything out they don’t return there’s a lot of returns you have to return the stocks of the plants back you have to compost in place you have to let this scab I mean every bit making a gash they’re making an open wound and they’re taking away all the scab material so that’s why the conventional farming system it can only go for so long before they’ve completely destroyed the capacity of that soil to give life it goes from being soil which is moist and full of life to dirt witch is dead and but we can bring it back where rehabilitating the system now and then something to a simple kind of schematic that you can take away you know this was my favorite new my learning about it this way this is what got it for me cuz I actually I took workshops where we did sheet mulching and I learned about you know they call a natural accelerated succession show succession is just the cycle of of a forest doing its thing you know but we can apply our intelligence to speed up that process we can nature will make compost but it takes a lot longer just sitting in place you know getting moist and rotting and breaking down we can speed up the process by concentrating the efforts of nature without harming them like we’re making environments for life that are at least as good if not better than the wild state that there in like I like to design Habitat For Life where it doesn’t it thinks it’s just in Shangri-La Paradise it has it’s not in a cage is not feeling limited and I feel like it’s making a penny with a farm but give plenty of space to everything can you you know you have a more ethical way of of tending the wild but the schematic piece that’s a good imprint to take take home is there so many different kind of freestyling right now and flowing with it and the key words are coming up but there’s of the keywords that I mentioned maybe 5 to 10 so far there’s hundreds if not thousands in a book this thick they called the big black book is permaculture a designer’s manual and it’s the required reading the main textbook for the permaculture design course it is 72 hour course I should mention that it’s really a via call back up just a little bit so when David Holmgren and Grill Mollison really dialed-in this thesis about perennial agriculture where we should be thinking about growing plants that are producing frequently more than once one year at a time where we can let nature just drop and drop and drop and his bill. So every year of of a forest soil ecosystem the Year this all gets better on its own so what we shouldn’t have to be putting in mining minerals and pulling oil out of the ground creating fossil-fuel petrochemical fertilizers when if we just grew tree crops or even had rallies or rows of us a fruit or nut trees staggered in between our annual crops which were still going to grow annuals is nothing wrong with them but intermingling it’s polyculture is another key word so how do we go from Monaco sure to polyculture understanding perennials and bring it all together in a designer system the easiest way so there’s so much science in technical minutiae about it but the easiest way to say from this point on that you can see somebody to bus stop and and walk them through how we can save the world together in the in the park right behind you or whatever it is it’s easy things to point out so there’s seven layers vertical layers in a natural forest ecosystem if it breaks down a little bit more granularity if you had you know aquatic systems in a few factoring you know there’s there’s more it it’s kind of the chakras another seven major chakras and then there’s a bunch of the 72,000 natis and there’s a map that all different cultures it gets pretty ridiculous but not in a bad way but we stick to the seven layers for the purpose of this conversation state what happens can anyone think of a few types of food that grows underground potatoes carrots you got it so underground so you can take any more secrets of someone you can you know discover that there there root systems Going Underground and if we can make it productive you know productive to us edible to us useful to you know to feed animals or to feed ourselves we would consider that a root crop from the root layer of the system so that’s the very bottom below ground and then what are some plants that grow horizontally across the flat surface of the ground to actually a little bit ahead of the other. You’re ahead of us will get there but you’re also you’re also right but let’s think of things that are more kind of clustering like to go strawberries all the baby you hit it didn’t have the strawberries and basically sure you would call him creepers or prostrate plans through their species that are going to grow low lying and just cover kind of carpeting the surface so hit me on this is like creeping thyme as it is for the great example so if you were designing a garden you wanted to fill up space or mint is a good example things that will just grow across that so that’s the second so the herbaceous layer really it’s it’s non-woody plants that grow sideways and they don’t they don’t grow Vines and they don’t they don’t grow Woody lying areas and you have the shrub layer which is actually more like blueberries they grow kind of a Woody stem but they’re not giant trees or just want to bushes so there’s all kinds of a lot of berries grow like that so you’ve got that layer two layer of shrubs and affirm that you’ve got to the lower canopy which is you know let’s say there’s a the tallest ones in this whole system so these will be the lower the lower canopy trees which of these could all be a week we’re going to add more in here but will have lower lower canopy fruit tree Citrus nuts dried mulberries whatever avocados all those kind of fuse like some of those will in certain systems go very high up but that’s where you really get to put on your designers had his study and know what food crops that we like to eat that are beneficial to the ecosystem that are appropriate for the climate require minimal effort to sustain how can we fill in all these vertical Mitch’s and when I left out if any is is dividing their social Vining layer which is those species that will and to spiral and grow up things are gross feet or curb its pumpkins squashes cucumbers bikinis all those not family so if you can just you can close your eyes again or leave them open either way is fine but now when you’re at the grocery store from now on you can actually ask yourself what which of those seven layers does this food crop occupy you know and you can already start design designing it in your head or if you want I mean they’re certain there’s a lot of stuff from the store that you can just plant right it’s cheaper to buy tire plant stalk from the grocery store then it is to buy from a nursery green onions potatoes carrots even you know there’s okay if you’re still a living RuPaul on it and herbs with living roots on them so you can just cut the tops off plants him he’ll do better if you cut the greens off already and then plant them in and you can already start going with that so it’s a very of all the complexity that this could go into an understanding the very unique complex relationships invisible microscopic relationship in the soil that make all this possible that’s a whole another chapter that’s a whole study there’s people who devote their entire lives and they’re only fit really in the history of science are only just beginning to scratch the surface of what’s going on the soil the density of microbial life in one drop of water it’s astounding and you should look it up online to see pictures of it that’s where it all begins so you can zoom in to any of these elements of a forest system in and just make a life study out of it but what so elegant about the permaculture system and again I’m only just trying to get you excited about the idea that we can heal the planet we can take a snapshot of any Forest system and say hey you know what if we could have a magic wand snap your fingers and fill up all of these vertical spaces with food crops that we enjoy how much we will be feeding the neighborhood out of his backyard just with what’s here if everything is everything that you see here that is green and Alive was edible inedible food crap we would stop working on the treadmill the hamster wheel we would be spending our time together creating beautiful elaborate meals and having Publix in and sharing him if if one person’s house had better solar aspect you know then another than once you get more shady area grow mushrooms if you got more sun grow Citrus it’s an interconnected web of social interactions and that’s a whole other like subscience within permaculture social permaculture where we look at how how we can design beneficial Gill’s another key word guilds meaning conscious groupings of mutually beneficial synergistic relationship between the species or people and species or you know it’s really infinitely scalable scalable these different modules of thinking and end in methodology so I think that is a good place to come to a stop let me just take a breath and see if there’s anything else that would be good to close with on this story just back to the word the word itself permanent culture permanent agriculture kind of used interchangeably the ideas that nature has been foresting the Earth has been far as being so much longer than we’ve been here and if we step back and get out of the way it will consume everything we’ve built with Forest so we can get on her surfboard and surf the wave of rewilding that’s just always happening all the time or we can waste all of our energy and killer cells with fossil-fuel poison the plant just so we can have let me hear why I live in a nice area if all you hear is the buzzing of machines packing it all the wife around you and blowing leaves and just poisoning everything that’s not a high quality of life you know if you let the wave coming just consume you and it’s like a tidal wave of wild nature coming out of all the times and all the time and all we got to do is like put a bunch of season her pocket and run into him in and then it will be completely enveloped by it and will be back in the Garden of Eden a it’s just a cycle and we’re putting in all this fossil fuel ask your effort all these machines to fight it back so that people can make that proprietary clothes stores in that’s where you going to the gym with modification patenting life all those things to say how can you take this beautiful monstrosity of life on Earth and control it and limit access to it it takes a lot of energy and you know we’re getting close to the point where it’s not going to be is easy to tap that goes energy reserves it’s going to get more difficult and we’re going to see more resistance hopefully in Rebellion as people then wake up so that is it non comprehensive introduction to permaculture and now I’m open for questions thank you for your kind attention to say worried about whether catastrophic Earth changes being near to bishan she showed me how I can dissolve my fears by building permaculture goddess Tantra Punk on Back in front of Chinampa Garden Praying to Dark Green Goddess for Healing

50 Shades of Green Sexual Permaculture TPP70

Play

in this episode I’m joined by M.F.P. for an exploration of the new 50 Shades of Green Sektual Permaculture spoken word poem I recently released. I lay out the thesis and she affirms that sexual capital can and should be invested into ecologically honorable endeavors.

In a bonus segment, with permission I read an article by Jill Lawson called “50 Shades of Namaste” all about the parallel benefits and pitfalls of both Yoga and BDSM. It is very wise and insightful and helps balance out the discourse by owning and honoring our need to escape the ego by inducing altered states of consciousness. I agree that ethics are sorely needed to ensure integrity and relative safety in all of our attempts to learn and practice arts of transcendence.

ecological design the talent show is and practicum will be erotic and divine some claim with disdain look found her to be approved but perhaps it is the movements Destiny to shamelessly ensure that the ninth form of capital gets reinvested back into the Earth hello David Lopez welcome to Township on podcast episode number 70 I’m here again with magic fucking pussy and we’re going to talk about new track I just released the spoken word piece that’s called 50 Shades of Green sexual permaculture and first let me ask what did you think about a hearing for the first time I thought it was the way it flows it’s just that I’m in the house settle at your poetic you know I guess phrases of men to architecture where thank you very much yes mfp you were my executive editor you you know make sure that my crazy musings are streamline for Primetime in the mainstream coming from the doctrine of the top of the of the Pyramid of the entertainment world really you know so you would know how to if you share my material within your network that’s a huge endorsement because it’s like such a you know Elite kind of set of tastes really so you know if it can’t be too hippy Tupac you know to out to out there too far out so you know this is something you know you everybody of course but it has hopefully a universal cross-cultural appeal to what we’re all sort of thumb heartbroken over and really suffering from which is sexual sexual exploitation by Financial sanctions legally sanctioned Financial Enterprises you know on all levels in its mentioned in there were talking about we’re in permaculture design you learn about the notion of an energy audit and you learn from the study of systems theory and and and human ecology and a lot of other integrated disciplines of science and engineering and ecology all sorts of different sources of information and interdisciplinary holistic approach to sustainable human development design and the energy audit and understanding Energy Systems it’s really about understanding that on Earth solar energy comes down from the Sun it gets photosynthesize by green plants at the producer level of the ecological food chain in that light that’s first made into sugary energy for life to exist at the at the below the lowest levels then is sort of bounced around like a pinball up the food chain in a way that is anti in Tropic the the tendency of heat heated particles in the universe has to slow down and to cool down and therefore it stop radiating and to just become a nurse in to essentially dissolve break apart in and into its initial or into its smallest Parts if I’m if I’m understanding the physics correct that may be butchering this but essentially the idea is we live in this beautiful magical planet that takes the sunlight and it creates all these intricate webs where it it it it keeps this Vale of energy going so that it can continue to be trapped and captured and stored in an in transferred up between organisms without it just degrading so that’s why we get to exist as top predators at the top of the food chain that that we are simply would argue that were omnivores or herbivores I believe that you know our teeth are pretty good indicators that were not biologically designed to be at the top level of the food chain has Predators with binocular vision so obviously you want to say hunter gatherers gather Hunters not going to make any commentary on you know the but whether or not they’re the ethics and morality of veganism out I’ll just say that you know where we are in our natural habitat we are a very balanced interconnected part of the food chain and we are the most beneficial element in any ecosystem where we’re doing what nature design is to do which is one prime directive one one job description scatter seeds with your shit that’s the only thing we’re really meant to do is as mammals do you know and so they can do that and the Amazon rainforest will be the byproduct of appropriate human habitation of landscape we will extend the forest we will nurture and cultivate and imbue instrumental in ending conducive to fostering conditions that create more life being a part of that bouncing of that pinball the volume of the energy up and turn up so ever more magnificent forms of life can be produced and we can conserve the energy and doesn’t just get burnt off or lost in inefficient poorly engineered human artificial systems or just lost into the atmosphere for whatever reason is to be called a heat sink so that’s in a nutshell what we’re talking about human ecology permaculture approach to systems thinking and the and the energy flow audit so if you if you look at a system and you say okay here are the system elements that has inputs and outputs and all of these design elements in between that make certain functions happen to certain elements that are performing different functions and duties and you want to be as the designer is the engineer of a system you want to have Minnie minimize the input maximize the output do more with less I always optimize efficiency and innovate and you want to be able to identify those weak points in the system where energy literally is is escape and it’s not doing its work properly and that can be you know psychological problems like you have people in the workplace who are have really bad diets and you know you could change that system by putting it like I heard one corporate office they’ve be put in a vending machine and they had all the candy bars be like two bucks and then they had the fresh fruit be like 15 or $0.20 or $0.25 or whatever and it totally changed the energy of the system of their office so that’s understanding energy flow in any system so what permaculture has been so successful and so profound really are doing is is auditing the energy systems of Agriculture monoculture agriculture obviously and really indicting the inefficiency and the loss of potential energy by us flattening or agricultural Landscapes into a one-dimensional one crop one-year-old once-a-year Dead Zone grave yard of soil death of the entire ecosystem whereas if you think fourth dimensionally and you think three-dimensionally you can stack vertical layers of crops that that fruit and produce vegetables and yields at various times throughout the year and you can intelligently stagger though so that you have multiple varieties of the same type of fruit and then you have different meals throughout the year so you so the idea is if you added that the energy coming in its all full times coming down from the Sun every bit of vertical space if you imagine it if you build a trellis all the way to the top of the atmosphere that’s the best that the sky’s the limit as far as how much green leafy solar panels we can put out there to capture the vertical solar energy and if we taper that you know in a diagonal pattern we can create the natural Forest Edge effect that you see any time you go from a prairie or from a grassland or a beach you know to into where there’s Forest is going to be a great e h a gradient of vertical vertical diagonal gradient going into where it’s dis the dentist close canopy the area that’s the forest edge okay so we want to be intelligent with capturing and storing energy we want to audit in efficiencies in the use of Natural Energy we have it so abundant no one should be starving no one should be lacking medicine no one should be like in shelter the Earth is a forest production machine and when we align with it and we help it and we facilitate it it will provide all of our needs just like Bare Necessities just like the Garden of Eden we need to have one line added to the end of the Bible that says and you should go replant the Garden of Eden and stop you know lamenting that that you were kicked out of it go replanted that’s the promise of permaculture so that was you know that that was my sermon about it you know right there but what I have done and what my life is forced me to do as a permaculture designer who discovered you know late-in-life how deep my sexual trauma it’s when you know a lot of what I had sealed off being a teenage prostitute being a child no victim of child sexual abuse you know that didn’t really like obviously working in nature working in permaculture is extremely healing for survivors of any type of trauma and Anna was being very nourished by the natural Prana and feeling you know very important very useful very adored and loved by all the plants and animals that I cared for and also being you know cherished and celebrated by my community as a you know an up-and-coming kind of whippersnapper you know in the face in the movement in the field where was at locally and I feel very good and I was able to stay way above my trauma PTSD you know depression anxiety paranoia whatever feeling safe being nestled in my food Forest Gardens very very nice experience well you know as they got more to Tantra then things started to and psychedelic Shamanism then you know a lot of the the ones we’re ready had the support and love they needed to really be addressed and work through and so that kind of crippled me and my career and I dropped almost everything in my permaculture career to get deep into psychedelic shamanic tantric Sexual Healing work and as I have come you know light years through all of that and then like I’m getting back on my feet with permaculture I have really like some insights that I feel I would have never been able to talk about you know with my permaculture colleagues because like in any other field sex is in the shadow and there’s a lot of sexual predatory behavior going on by you know men and you what you can might call the old boys club of permaculture World why there’s like a lot of you no complaints that I hear and I’ve witnessed a lot that I feel like is really Shadow sexual behavior is not consciously being you know brought through the surface and a healthy way and so there’s there’s wounding happening in the movement because of that you know different kinds of you know transgressions mainly by mail piano teachers in and just just threw out the movement you could say it’s a lack of feminist training that’s kind of what I thought about it I think it’s just more it’s just an art just another archetypal example of where you have sexuality that is not healthfully processed in a community or in a movement and it’s not really the energy flow of sexual energy is not audited and we’re not designing for and with the energy although I will say that the the Duke of permaculture who shall remain on name for the purpose of this you know that are for this in the context of this podcast I’m just only going to refer to him as to do Capri go to Paducah permaculture Maiden us to point that’s part of this my sexual permaculture energy audit thesis and that was that what it ain’t no chicken needs at chickens need other chickens you know they need us for Deathbat dust bath in Need You Know food shelter always sings what what do interns need what are woofers need on a farm you know they need other interns are other woofer is because they need to have that access that sexual access especially if they’re in the age of being between high school and college at are doing some college programming to take some time off their primary you need is other interns to engage in you know there I don’t want sound like Doc Brown hear what rhythmic ceremonial rituals and they just need to get their freak on that’s just how it is at designing for Sexual Energy that’s intelligent design if you don’t design that way you’re going to have loaners that get bored and leave and don’t do the job they want to do cuz you’re too sexually frustrated you know so did this is one element of thinking this way so if you know anybody who’s taking the PDC permaculture design course you know has ecological design training from any sort of any way of learning about it it should be it should come natural to to be able to to Grass what I’m talking about here so my permaculture redesign of human sexuality on Earth in the 21st century is is really what I’m in dieting here in this track and I guess Huffines a case of this is funny a few couple funny things happen while this during this process one is that because the last line I make a United statement about our our beloved co-founder who is noted for having said some pretty some people would say perverted some people would say you know just I’ve seen some people might stay just hyper-sexualized but yeah you don’t have to watch too many of the global Gardener series or the grave danger of falling food there’s you know there’s there’s there’s moments you know where you’re like him well how do I feel about that but I will tell you what after watching the official 72 hour course that was produced as like a set of DVDs quite a few years ago there are shocking moments in that and they’re also really Redemptive moments in that where you know important statements are made about how you know it’s well-known that men have been wrecking the planet and are to blame and are the culprits and it is patriarchy and we need to honor women as the holders and keepers of plant knowledge and wisdom and it’s the real power Brokers of sexual energy to give us life they give us pleasure they nurture us they have the compassion they’re fully activated you know in those ways and so this imbalance that’s caused I mean this the founder the co-founder of this movement has no love for the man and the tyranny of women animals nature I pretty much feel pretty solid about that based on my studies of his works and so whatever little moments he has if being a perv that people might point out I think it’s counterbalanced by that deeper truth but because I was expecting to you know defend this thesis a little bit I went to go look up a part and I was trying to find the part where he talks about how women women harvesting water chestnuts is quite a stench bending over harvesting water chestnuts is quite essential experiences I think or something to that effect which you could say is he’s a goddess worshipper he’s endearing and he’s not ashamed to enjoy what’s natural to him which is the pleasure of that it was quite sensual you know I don’t personally take to do defensive that but I’ll say I just wanted to find that citation to be able to you know say hey look this is not the first one to be sexual in permaculture me so as I’m going to look that up what do we discover on the video of the global Gardener in the tropics what do we discover in this we discover that there was a very erotic porn spliced into that Sheen yeah that was interesting to say the least yes I was shocked and Disturbed to find that this video and support bloke with his mother-in-law and children were watching it and then had this like Fight Club Tyler Durden moment if somebody is placing frames of pornography into family films I don’t know who was watching Fight Club when they did that hack job on this video but the guy even says in the comments on YouTube like you know he says I watched it a few times already and it wasn’t in there now I know how YouTube works and it looks like it was an old VHS thing it looks like somebody was trying to record something off of cable and they didn’t know what tape was in and they pressed record and then they for a minute they were in they realized they stopped it but it just doesn’t make sense I really hope that it’s not like some Illuminati conspiracy and they’re taking you know whatever it is that actually figuring out a way to hack these phones hack hack people’s video files on the servers without deleting free uploading and then you know that resetting the counter and all that stuff as far as I know you can’t do that but that one of the comments did say he said that he watched it several times and they must have just recently added it so yes it’s scary I know it was the way that it comes in and out is totally classic I remember this you know if you’re dumping tapes on VHS so it had to have been done a long time ago but I don’t know if they swapped with some else who knows who or what happened you know but this is like so telling to me because my thesis for a while has been you know my medicine work my tantric healing work everything it’s it’s it’s made me realize that it made me wonder why was I sexually abused why was I engage in prostitution is a street punk you know it’s 13 well it all comes to ecological economics and all I wanted to do you know when I was on the street was go live in a forest Shaolin Temple and trained in martial arts and training for the revolution liberate people in in like reclaim the land that was my fantasy you know I was at a youth drop-in center and this college intern staffer she asked you was on an assignment was like ask all the street kids what would $5,000 sound like a lot back then she said if your if you if we gave you $5,000 as a thought experiment you know but you had to get off drugs and you have to get your head to get the street what would you do so she gave me like a blue sky budget you know scenario and I said I would go and live in the woods and build a Shaolin Temple martial arts Warrior training camp in like live out my you know revolutionary Syfy Rambo Kung Fu fantasies and raise a whole generation of Warriors that was what I want to do and like pretty much I’ve been on a mission doing that ever since I got the street but you know the what what is that indicate and then when I was in the street I would go in these horrible states of psychosis you know like a bad trip on steroids from meth and go and the only way I could outrun the demons and the the madness was to find some pristine piece of nature so I found this forest and park and I would go there and literally all of the Shadow entities would not be able to make it through that Prana forcefield I can get in and they couldn’t follow me and I found peace and I have beautiful journal entries about that so you know Earth repair edible reforestation food for staying in the urban and rural and Suburban environment is going to bring in so much health and healing is going to buffer all these forms of abuse and exploitation I so that Journey let me just thinking like okay how do we accelerate the Greening of our reality so that we can mellow people out and make some of these Predator entities like have a harder time I mean when you put in the projects and there’s no nature around you’re giving human souls and human sexual sex chakras all that how you know there’s plenty of would have talked about in previous episodes of basically you by design your setting up conditions conducive to sexual predator entity infestation and when you design natural buffers you inhibit that pressure and you you’re creating it’s like you want to address the issue of mosquitoes you have to make design improvements to deal with that or if you want to buy for any predator pressure any pathogen you going to have to design for it so we’re living in human environments that have been designed for predation of sexualities and not against so to start we need to start growing food again now how do we a movement going where people stop participating in porn and pimping and prostitution and stripping and all these things that just deplete us and feed the the dark Realms well I don’t know how to motivate people to care about nature that you know it’s like if I had big breasts in a big old perfect you know Grill and it was a blonde hair blue-eyed Woman by God I could have the whole earth wrapped around my finger overnight if I say you can have a little I’ll let you peek at my nipple if you go plan a thousand trees and everyone would do it and overnight the world would be perfectly Retreat that’s sexual Capital the ninth form of capital and all of that power that a woman has to have men who worship her that’s a cult of tits and ass is the world the really really live in so the power that a woman has to broker for access to her sexual Temple whether it’s visually or with hands or with genitals that power is really the most that is the most powerful force within human culture. It is a woman’s erotic power and the illusion of patriarchy is that men run the show in fact they don’t run the show men are feeble-minded chimpanzee brained chakra deactivated Bistro morons that rely on the intelligence of women for everything and that goes back to being an infant but what’s going on that this poem is trying to point out as an audit of sexual energy in a permaculture way women still have the power it’s still a matriarchy and we are in fact I get to bring it in here for a second so you were the one who told me about how this is essentially a financial matriarchy because sexual capital is design in a way that’s actually serving women here in Las Vegas you want to talk about that was just what I know yeah that women make more in Las Vegas the dancers make more the strip clubs the cocktail waitresses make more than the male host at night clubs women bartenders make for more than male bartenders and I even heard that even the laws were skewed in favor of women and I don’t know why that is that’s just somebody somebody told me that randomly just that you know if you were to get a divorce it always favors the female in Las Vegas and that was to protect the women but you know Grant even the favor so yeah you’re right it’s the women hold the power here Ocean City why because men come here to worship women’s flesh and that’s Unholy and people with greed and lust for money have created legally sanctioned Enterprises to meter out women’s sexual access to woman’s body temples on all levels that ho it’s all this is this this entire economy is the case study for women truly having all that power yet being sort of mine fucked in foot bound to not organize together that’s the problem just like in the chimpanzee societies this is so interesting okay so I went to the dominant Force enlisted you had to tell us will drop us into your world of where you spent you know how you spent eight years in the belly of the beast of the whole Enterprise okay so from my perspective Las Vegas coming from y e Las Vegas to me was glamorizing the adult fun of things of over sexuality tight fitting clothes know nobody’s judging anyone you know we’re here to party have some drinks go to some clubs meet some new people you know take some risks and live it up and you know then go back to our boring lives so you know it’s very liberating for me to see that and see these empowered women but also it’s kind of a false empowerment because then you see the strip club managers or the men that actually keep them around a type of leashes I don’t know of whatever dysfunction has led them to to sell their bodies I think so cheaply in Indus Tastefully so that’s where the whole city of sin and comes from the soo easy to point B like sin and you know it’s like it’s mainly The Flash cuz we drink in every city you know and it’s you know you can gamble too and gambling supposedly a sin is it really I don’t know but yeah so you know I worked I was married to a very successful independent host basically a VIP concierge where you know we booked club club venues Show tickets some you know whatever seats they wanted or whatever it was you no recommended restaurants in that was a part of glamorizing it the power of sexuality but in a in a way that was it was not morally good in the end because it was promoting the wrong type of entities and energy than facades you know and so X Punk makes a great point that if you are somebody that is sexually liberated and you’re promoting offense in you know that at least at least trying it baptized that energy and I know that you promoted life and in plants and you know free food for all you know you want to look at these breasts you want even maybe touch them let’s see how many plants you know entries those strong arms can plant you know and then you know you know that you were promoting the right type of energy and and then you can go on with your life you know sure take your clothes off all right you know work it be you’re now representing a more powerful Movement by promoting something good thank you so much for taking us on that little journey there yeah it’s such an interesting irony that this is the financial matriarchy where there is more permissiveness around celebrating female sexual power yet it is still pimped still pimp kosher essentially it’s still a pimp culture where it’s like wait a minute you know the reason that chimpanzees are patriarchal rapist domineering male-dominated societies is because they had to they were in a region in Africa in the jungle where gorillas occupied the niche of the ground level of the forest which made it a form of competition so that everyone in the chimp sort of societies males and females they were dispersed throughout the canopy so they were all loners right which made it more of a you know everyone for themselves kind of social ecology or while kissing me to call you but MD we’re susceptible to the attack of mail so males literally evolve to be these extreme brutes and an extended extremely violent Society with lots of murder sometimes cannibalism and definitely lots of rape and persecution of old young homosexual women by the alpha males and the reason that is is because of that that Mitch being blocked of being able to be on the ground now the our closest primate cousins the bonobos they did were lucky enough to be in a region where they could have evolved culturally where there wasn’t the competition of the girls in the ground so what did that allow for it allowed for women’s Sisterhood Circle to be the governing councils that actually totally a manicure the Eagles of the males like bonsai trees and they would barter food they eat first they are the Matrix they eat first and they would barter sexual favors for food like oh you want you want some go get me that that do come and go get me some bananas man come on give give me when it’s not that it’s not that men you know spoiling women with gifs trying to earn their affection as they all do you know I mean that’s not wrong it’s not wrong to exchange energy for it’s not wrong to exchange some form of capital for a sexual Capital exchange what’s wrong is when men or pimping off of that exploiting it and taking the huge cut and exploiting and beating and brutalizing women taking away the opportunities when women are in control like Madam’s at a brothel that’s sustainable and regenerative let’s say there is a matriarchal political structure and Men actually have to earn access to what they really want and more than to just be beating each other up mean that’s just too exhausting and tiring and it did baboon studies that show it’s like they’re they’re all dying or killing each other to stress hormones I mean this male dominance hierarchy thing it’s like if you want to devolve into that state you know you’re a sorry fool because bed the better life is the life run by women where the men are trusting in their intelligence their collective intelligence to govern and manage society and you will get more and better sex if you fall into that power structure that we have lost almost all knowledge is Hamlet so because it has been almost through almost to be eradicated there still the galuteria societies left on the planet there still bonobos left from really what we need to do is look at how I mean this is my face it’s okay so you can do whatever you want take it or leave it but for those interested in you know why I have produced this track and what the thesis behind it is that you know we we we I feel compelled to you know if he’s okay so going to say going back to where we saw that that porn clip come into the permaculture video It’s So telling because what I haven’t seen a few years is like okay and it started when I went to I was at the top of my permaculture career was on the Joan Rivers show doing Joan Rivers backyard permaculture installation on her reality TV show top of the game for me and we went my partner the time we went to to a high-end Hollywood producer one of the top production companies there and we laid out all of our materials you know our portfolio we wanted to see if they would be interested in doing a reality TV show is amazing property were developing totally like wholesome permaculture makeover you know something that we thought we could you know just getting traction on so we went and we did a presentation and the dudes like and he’s a friend to he needs like you know what sorry guys this is great and everything but you just need to make permaculture sexy because not going to sell otherwise and it’s funny because I’m not going to say who it was but somebody who is a top-level permaculture person who I would be intimidated to even ever talk to her approach found me on LinkedIn and look Tucson my working and that’s all there was energy alignment I said you actually I’ve been out of the game for a while I’ve been working on you know actually adult entertainment stuff and it’s interesting because it seems like there’s going to be some way that I’m going to actually do what people talk about his make permaculture sexy and she’s like yeah that’s what everybody you know using the expression in terms of just making it mainstream but really like I I was told in no uncertain terms if you wanted to be mainstream it’s not just a figure of speech it’s got to be sexy so I did the survival women project you know equal educational erotica modeling thing that’s on the website now under the tundra task force where I’m offering to pay you know bikini models porn actresses fashion models Runway my would ever do something be engaged in ecological service work and I’ll actually I would be happy to pay you more because if it’s $100 an hour or an hour of nude photography then I think you know we could do a lot of wicked that is a key leverage Point not to be able to say we’re going to bring ecological skills and values into what where people’s eyeballs are already glued you know what I mean so they’re looking at their I can’t get people to join you know me to go plant trees you know in the neighborhood cuz they’re all jerking off to porn or they’re all watching the Kardashians or whatever they’re addicted to this mediated meter doubt commercialized pimped version of female sexuality and I’m out there going hey guys fun good times you know ecological service where he is Holy hey it’s spiritual you know it’s antidepressant it’s good for everything like I’m too busy with my mind in the gutter doing this you know shadowy self you know pleasure extremely like negative patterns of a self erotic stimulation is happening with all the stuff and it’s like okay if finally dawned on me or I do to make them go to Stacy fucking I’m going to go and I’m going to get in porn and I’m going to get higher the models and be like okay see when I was standing behind you with the protest sign you know same plant trees and save the Earth and you were paying attention cuz your eyes were glued to the porn screen now I’m just going to walk right around and get into your computer screen and come into your entertainment medium with my sign saying are you now can you see me okay now or never pay attention now the problem is who wants to look at you know Silly old me well there’s quite a few me all gay men that I’m doing quite well with you know sponsoring me to do what I’m doing but the exponential Capital value is in the heat of the women who are the most 5 million followers in Instagram Barbie fembot women who are posting nothing but pictures of them self in different little cutesy poses with nothing to say nothing to promote and just a few products to sell and buy goddess as I’m glad to see more holistic stuff more you know yoga models and raw food and vegan models that’s wonderful let’s take that power that these women have an invite them and hire them to actually engage in useful educational beneficial ecological service work as some percentage of what they do on their portfolio and it’s not like we’re asking him to do it as a favor it’s cheap to pay them to do it I haven’t talked into models who were at the peak of their game you know Big Time cover you know everything you could ever dream about being and really I don’t know if they don’t last that long or what it is but it’s like they’re not unapproachable they are the key leverage Point more cheaper than getting celebrity endorsement of a non-profit do you know any cars or something like that I don’t know what they charge or how you get through how do you get to the people’s like go on Model Mayhem and say what I did I hope I’ve got a hold of some very powerful you know modeling you know Divas who are very interested in possibly being a part of the paradigm shift so you know it’s kind of like yeah okay this proves my freaking point if we don’t get in here and we don’t start sorting this out for people healthy natural ecosexuality opportunities to earn love and pleasure you know by being in service it’s just going to eat Us Alive you know so it’s like if it’s there’s no escaping this like curse that happening we’ve got to take a stand and we’ve got to make better more wholesome erotica and I just made that to Eco sexuality video you know that is it sound like ecosexuality YouTube channel basically depicting what it feels like to be to be sensual and nature how was just an ongoing beautiful pure easy orgasm it’s a constant orgasmic Flow State and you know what I have a joke about BDSM Sy call this Fifty Shades of Green it’s like a oh you saw this to you saw the picture disturbing I can do it is first. Yeah you should explain it I have some you know crazy scars on my chest whenever when I go to the hospital they say you know they say are you do you need to be in a psych ward looks like you’ve been cutting herself like now that was some BDSM that I did when I was you know younger and punk rock relationship and Stephen like oh what’s Woody time I like to think where this way was like it was like a self-styled tribal initiation you know scarification ritual Rite rite of passage right and I like okay I guess you know what time we’re not crazy the irony is just today right after I posted this track I have a a former lover friend send me pictures of some of the you know BDSM Kink stuff that we did many years ago were these scars came from and you see the essentially the the the botched attempt to make meaningful you know tribal initiation rites of Passage through pain and scarification and everything is so I bring that up because for one is after it happened right there and you saw it it’s like definitely you didn’t know who you were you didn’t I mean that what erotic sensual feeling could those slices on your skin possibly evoke it didn’t look loving it didn’t look pleasurable it looked like a distraction from something more painful it’s like a the emotional pain Works its way to the surface one way or another if you don’t give it dancing singing and dancing and tribe love and like gardening then it comes out as a rash of this kind of activity so you know you know how ya so this idea about what I’m addressing here where the sexual Capital lies its most concentrated in the female dominatrixes and even and even more so in the financial Nexus there’s this Paradox because part of me who is trying to promote ecosexuality is saying we can unkink are Kundalini energy with 50 shades of green if we go out into nature orgasm comes much easier when you’re surrounded by a beneficent ecological spirits and all of the sensuousness and beauty of a natural setting your not saying your partner G we’ve been having a lot of you know rough sex in the apartment and it’s kind of boring and kind of over it can you like beat me senseless with a hammer so I can get off because I’m numb or can you choke me half to death because I can’t have an orgasm unless you do that and then it’s like oh how do you know what honey why don’t we find a place to go and try having sex outdoors and oh well we can’t cuz it’s illegal in there be a looky-loos and there’s no there’s nothing conducive in the modern reality to that experience so people are stuck in these torture chambers of sexual relationships where they start to dabble with the stuff and believe me I have the scars to show it and I don’t think I don’t look kindly upon the entities behind sadism I really don’t and I’ll leave it at that for now but the paradoxes that you know the women who have the most power still despite the illusion of patriarchy and male dominance and all that economic advantage and Tim culture the most powerful men are being Twisted by the ball as by the balls by the financial dominatrixes who are sucking them dry of their money and giving them orders and really if you want things to trickle-down Eagle by Jayco value to trickle down from the highest point of Leverage it’s about bringing the Doms into this ecological Paradigm and there’s a beautiful female dominatrix predom who is a advocate of bondable Rights and is talking about these parallels between the potential of femme dom to really be the bridge to a more sustainable holistic natural power dynamic between the Sexes that’s going to really change mail destructive behavior and get you know Make Love Not War that’s what the promises of that so you know the the transmutation the Tantra that the permaculture than the night form of capital really is its if we intelligently designed and look at where this energy is dammed up and we burst that damn and we let the female erotic energy and power flow freely and we give them the the space the females of space to actually coordinate and design with that power so they can use sex strikes as a leverage tool to get men to stop fighting and Wars that’s been done historically which is a beautiful tactic you know it can be the the idea that oh you want to cop a feel while here is a way for you to earn that access want you plant these this many trees and then I will allow you to do that in a ceremonial contacts on the full moon in a ritual where you’re going to notice. Some training and you’re going to be assertive disinfected so you can be trusted there’s a million ways that we can honorably respect and revivify the true natural healthy holy worship of the beauty of the female form and the male form but let’s be honest here we know what makes the world go round and it is kinky sex and it is most of all not the mail Dom’s that are running that show either it’s the female dimes you know who are making the most money and you have the CEOs and politicians in the warlord’s by the fucking balls so enjoy this track and you know if it resonates with you and then you know who knows where we’ll be by the next next time we come back to this issue but I feel like it’s you know the mission was validated you know seeing that porn clip come in it’s like okay man this is on the war is on you know we’re either going to fight back and bring a better Paradigm regenerative sustainable appropriate sexual capital expenditure and exchange systems or we’re going to be torn asunder so thank you very much anyway less words in a fee I just want to come in again how how beautifully written that was and it’s one of my favorite so far I’d say it might take number one so thank you for making that everyone out there thank you for listening and Aloha and God bless this article by Joe Lawson 50 Shades of Namaste exploring yoga and sadomasochism I reached out to her and I got permission to read the article in full so I think it is very apps to close this conversation says the first time is terrifying yet life-changing you will be instructed to take off your shoes and strip down to Bare Escentuals if you have the courage to look around you will see men and women contorted and grotesque positions with various limbs bound and tied you will lie back while someone spreads your knees and ties your ankles to your hips with a stiff canvas strap a sandbag will be placed over your eyes and you’ll be instructed to breathe through the discomfort perhaps it happened in a hot room swamped by life malleable bodies beat it in perspiration you were commanded to bend over you felt a set of hands clutching your hips guiding you further into compliance flushed and receptive you kept a steady gaze and held your position until the next set of instructions bondage and discipline coupled with dominance and submission is commonly seen as the masochism it is practiced as a way to ironically unshackle us from the pain of life if we look closely yoga is not that different both employed techniques to free the Mind from suffering both incorporate means to transcend pain and experience pleasure both involve a close relationship between a teacher and student both share the ultimate goal of attaining higher States Of Consciousness and Bliss we all have an innate desire to be liberated from the struggles of Life Carl Jung believe there is no coming to Consciousness without pain as a society that runs from Agony straight into the pleasuredome it is hard to believe anyone would voluntarily gravitate toward pain but we do and it is helpful for some being bound tide and told what to do is just a type of discomfort we need to set us free pain is in the pain is a necessary way to enhance pleasure Beyond promoting the release of endorphins and other pain-killing hormones pain can make pleasurable activities feel better if anyone who has ever taken a hot bath after a long day working in the bitter cold knows this to be affect the old adage of no pain no gain holds true for the yogi who believes in during discomfort promotes happiness the teachings in The Yoga sutras of patanjali share that Transcendence of the ego through the practice of Tapas discipline self-restraint and torching inner impurities is Kian experiencing Oneness with everything like the Phoenix we must burn in order to Rise From the Ashes if we want to evolve Bikram Yoga is high temperatures bring rise to that bird of rebirth after feeling like a captured terrorist inside of military HotBox the moment the door opens in the cool air descends Upon Us Bliss abounds Iyengar Yoga is props and Contraptions are akin to what might be found in a Sex Dungeon or a medieval torture chamber rack straps and walls things are commonly used to tie and bind us into curious poses all for the sake of Liberation spanning the course of history there have been numerous sexual Illusions associated with yoga in the Kamasutra the practice of slapping inviting our sexual partners was meant to provide mindfulness the yin and yang of Dallas Tioga rituals involve dominant and submissive role playing to seek balance in natural forces ancient tantric yoga practice is involved holding challenging sexual things for long periods of time for personal Awakening contrary to popular belief in order to gain positive psychological or spiritual benefits neither sadomasochism Noir yoga for that matter has to involve sex while sitting masochism carries a certain stigma of insanity research suggests that those who engage in it are not mentally ill they’re inherently healthy and happy individuals current studies show non sexual practices involving pain and still feelings of unity in connection with others James Ambler Brad Sagarin and a team of researchers at Northern University believe these altered brain States brought on by sex with sadomasochistic practices are similar to what can be experienced when people push themselves in sexless yoga the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is responsible in part for distinguishing self from other set an alert if less blood flow to the brain during these intensely painful experiences the result might be a feeling of Oneness we think this may be indicative of the types of Altered States Of Consciousness people might be seeking noted Sagarin Roy Baumeister PhD professor of psychology at Case Western Reserve University believe sadomasochism is a way for people to escape his or her egocentric identities he says like alcohol abuse binge eating and meditation sado-masochism is the way people can forget themselves however sadomasochism and meditation are potentially less destructive and boozing and overeating disassociating from our identities frees the Mind from suffering the yogi believe surrendering the ego especially when it involves a journey out of our comfort zone is crucial to our Spiritual Development as human beings however some are not only capitalizing on this psychology the exploding it for personal gain open yourself up completely everyday don’t worry about the beauty or the pain of it there’s no growth without distress and disturbance said Swami chetanananda a spiritual leader who purportedly abused dozens of his followers financially sexually and spiritually when you go is lost limit is lost you become infinite kind beautiful said Yogi Bhajan who is accused of rape and sodomy yoga is really trying to liberate us from Shame about her body I said Rodney who admitted to having sex with his students when Any teacher student or dominant submissive relationship becomes infused with selfishness someone inevitably becomes the victim the current matters of Bikram choudhury remind us of the sad truth the path to Enlightenment has many shades of grey the Dark Side of yoga is littered with vanity egocentrism in a ravenous appetite for seduction and power if we want a shot and Enlightenment we shall transcend wrongdoing in the midst of our pleasure-seeking practices are first yoga experience May read like a steamy sadomasochistic Trilogy or be analogous to the Eagles song Hotel California as the narratives are somewhat similar we are all prisoners of our own device and it certainly Could Be Heaven or it could be hell if ethics are not a top priority we won’t ever experience
