Proof of Love Ep. 7 Tantric Sex with Ben Tantra Punk Rebroadcast TPP193

Play

Ben Tantra Punk PicIn this episode I share a rebroadcast of my interview on the Proof of Love podcast, below is the original show notes, please subscribe to Proof of Love!

What can one say about a crypto tantric episode other than wow.  This is our spiciest Proof of Love yet! Ben Tantra Punk joined Stephanie and I to discuss this ancient practice.  In between a few laughs and blushes, we get a great overview of tantric lovemaking, how it’s different from regular lovemaking, the history of why there is tantric sex in the first place, and the joys of the female orgasm.  We went a bit over on time, but I don’t think you will mind with this subject matter! We need more love in our lives, and this episode will show you how to put some of these teachings into practice, even if calling each other goddess in bed is a little uncomfortable.

About the Guests:

Ben Tantra Punk is a sex worker, feminist porn performer, certified permaculture designer, certified tantric counselor, author, film maker, and recording artist. He’s found healing and empowerment through sacred loving arts, ecological gardening, shamanism, ecstatic trance dancing, martial arts, and open source technology. His ongoing independent short film series, Sexorcism the Tantric Opera, was launched in early 2017. It tells his story of recovery from childhood sexual trauma, adolescent sex trafficking, and the path of a wounded healer. His first book, Psychedelic Goddess Worship: Erotic Memoirs from the Astral Battlefield, is planned for release in late 2019.

He loves to help tantric seekers discover the infinite source of divine love from above, the eternal power and wisdom from the Earth below, and the bliss of conscious, healthy, diverse romantic relationships in between. He provides private coaching and counseling sessions online and in-person, and teaches publicly via livestream on the Ethereum powered SpankChain camsite at: https://beta.spankchain.com/TantraPunk His writings, music, podcasts, videos and contact info can be found at https://www.TantraPunk.com.

How the Plantrika Dr. Yalila Espinoza is Healing the Soul of Crypto TPP192

Play

Yalila PicIn this episode I’m joined again by Dr. Yalila Espinoza for an exploration of her medicine journeys into the heart of the cryptocurrency and blockchain movement.

I first hired Yalila to advise on an experimental healing ceremony design back in 2013 after discovering her great works online. Now over 5 years later, we’ve remained colleagues and friends in the shamanic space, and have done two previous podcast episodes, it turns out we’ve also been deeply immersed in crypto-psychedelia.

It was an exquisite gift to be able to have her on the show this time to talk about this aspect of our life journeys that we hadn’t yet connected on, and see the many emergent properties of mutual understanding and shared analysis.

She’s been doing some amazing work to bring sacred wisdom teachings, ceremony, ritual, and other shamanic modalities into the the heart and soul of the crypto movement. Knowing she has stepped up in this way feels like a new multi-dimensional super heroine has arisen to build bridges from the amazon jungle to silicon valley, wall street, and beyond.

About Yalila:
With this unique moment of cultural evolution, Espinoza finds herself at the center of an ecosystem where powerful business and technology influencers are asking for healing and wholeness.  While working in hospitals within a medical model and then conducting her PhD research on wellness and healing, she noticed the gap in the delivery of health services and the chasm between her own esoteric spiritual offerings and the specific needs of thought leaders. Espinoza found that her clients, while pioneering new businesses and technologies tended to suffer from burnout, depression, and disease. She realized transforming the human and machine networks of the world, like the Internet, must begin with physical, emotional, and mental transformation of the self. So in 2017, Espinoza founded InnerNet, an integrated wellness advisory offering online programs, one-on-one coaching, and retreats designed to optimize leaders’ potential to realize their missions with creativity, clarity, and compassion.

Metal, Hardcore, Punk, and Bitcoin with Peter McCormack TPP181

Play

In this episode I’m joined by my new brother in metal, Peter McCormack, host of the What Bitcoin Did podcast. His podcast is one of my top favs in the crypto space and it’s been awesome hearing him drop references to his roots in same underground music scenes that that I’ve grown up in.

He shares about his personal journey of political awakening through the messages in the lyrics of some of his favorite bands and how he got into crypto and podcasting. I was deeply moved by his heart wrenching story of having to be an outlaw to aquire Bitcoin so he could help his ailed mother by purchasing contraband natural herbal medicine.

We discuss the origins of Bitcoin partially being in BitTorrent and how Metallica’s lawsuit against Napster may have been a key catalyst to the evolution of crypto-currency.

We also talk shop about some of our favorite bands, his intentions for wearing a Master of Puppets shirt to the SEC, the future of crypto use-cases for bands and artists, the do-it-yourself spirit, the solidarity among hardcore fans of the 80s and 90s, the Proof of Keys event, and much more.

Balancing Wellness and Technology with Crypto Commentator Dr. Stephanie Murphy TPP157

Play

Stephanie Murphy pic

In this episode I’m am joined by Stephanie Murphy, PhD who is one of my most highly regarded wisdom keepers in the crypto space. While catching up on the complete archive of the several year running Let’s Talk Bitcoin podcast I was vaguely aware that there was a sex and science show on their network but didn’t,  until recently discover that Stephanie is a co-host. The moment I learned of this I felt a ray of divine light beam down as I realized that we’re both sex podcasters and therefore it would be appropriate for me to reach out and invite her to be a guest on the show. I often feel that the edgy and adult nature of my podcast limits the range of potential guests, in this case I felt so blessed that we could share common ground.

The work she has done in the crypto space is so empowering and her compassionate fury for true personal and financial liberty has seriously changed my life.  I highly recommend exploring her offerings and enjoying her voice in all of the various formats its packaged in.

Our discussion covers:

  • her personal life journey leading to her prominent role as a crypto commentator.
  • the role of yoga, meditation, and wellness in her life and her works
  • her experience of and thoughts on toxic masculinity and toxic patterns of conflict in the crypto space
  • the need for more holistic approaches to conflict resolution in technology communities in general
  • the historic human dramas that have caused forks in the bitcoin blockchain
  • practical down-to-earth strategies for the average non-techy person to get into crypto without relying on centralized third parties
  • the need for careful and well tested approaches to sex industry use cases for crypto
  • and much more!

Cypherpunks, Bitcoin & the Myth of Satoshi Nakamoto by Richard Boase TPP127

Play

Richard Boase pic

In this episode I’m blessed to have a guest spoken word piece by Richard Boase.  Since receiving some seed funding in the form bitcoins earlier this year, I have been on a mission of painfully OVER-due diligence to  catch up to the cryptocurrency revolution. It wasn’t clear to me until I discovered Richard’s article just how much of an intrinsic stake I’ve had in the game, and just how clueless I’d been over the last several years of bitcoin denial. In fact, my own punk and anarchist comrades of the crypto and cypher varieties had arguably already won the revolution in the early 90s that I’ve still been fighting in the streets for to this day.  It’s taken this long for me and the rest of the code-illiterate world to slowy, and perhaps less profitably,  join it.

I was infinitely grateful and intrigued to find Richard’s article because it puts it all into a riveting context and cuts through all of the financial speculative debate about bitcoin’s future, and sheds light on the radical and revolutionary spirit of the cause since the beginning.

Richard also has a great interview on the Let’s Talk Bitcoin podcast that helps clarify matters even more: https://youtu.be/5yZfOOqKnAg

About Richard:

Richard W. Boase, born a Shell Brat under the banner of a monstrous Corporate Petro-Empire in Brunei Dara’salaam on the island of Borneo in the late seventies, is the atypical son of English scholars of linguistics and mathematics and the grandson of allied warriors.

An Uber Taxi Driver working Old London’s winding back streets to scrape a living who once blazed electric live-wire voodoo visions amongst the hot neon jungle of Tokyo’s crazed architecture, he is now no more than a prescient listener and scribe, a tantric craftsman and guide in a global psyche-sphere where Crypto-Buddhist souls drift endlessly around the peer matrices of photovoltaic cells on Terra, Sol Galactica.

He is alone.

Decrypting the Cyberdelic Revolution with Lorenzo Hagerty TPP126

Play

Lorenzo Hagerty PicIn this episode I’m joined by one of my favorite podcast hosts Lorenzo Hagerty of the Psychedelic Salon podcast. A dear friend turned me on to the podcast back in 2008, I binge listened to catch up and have been on board ever since.  Lorenzo’s endearing charm, sharp wit, and scathing critiques of the dominator culture all all of its systems have made me a big fan of the show. It was a great honor to be able to explore the depth of his personal life journey and discuss an array of crypto-anarchist and techno-shamanic histories and futures. Finally, we compare notes and speculate on some of Terrence Mckenna’s attitudes towards psychedelics and tantric spirituality.

After our discussion, I include a spoken word piece I recorded called “McKennisms” which is my reading of several of my favorite Terence Mckenna quotes from the many lectures on the Psychedelic Salon that I’ve taken notes on over the years.
