My (non verbatim) notes:

TP: Jessica Moon, old dear friend, along the ride of tantra punk journey since very beginning around 2013, was shocked to find that name hadn’t already been turned into some sort of persona online, hopefully I’ve done my best

she’s way beyond a supportive friend, an inspiration, somebody who’s kept me on a very ethical and conscious path, has given me lots of great feedback

talk about her path, eco psychology, forest bathing, many ways to look at benefits of spending time in nature, deep personal journeys of long distance hiking

extra bonus, you might recognize her silky voice as the voice of the outro on all of my episodes, does a wonderful job of doing the wrap up details, its a treasure to have that mystery voice be on the podcast

JM: working on getting people outdoors, help people see benefits of being immersed in nature, millennials , anyone can benefit, remove barriers to help people really benefit

start when I younger and in college I was a sexual health peer mentor for my university, worked with my peers to educate them on health topics, disseminated health and hygiene products through the outreach center, help become more empowered

after graduated, joined nature center, help plan ecological programs and events, natural conservation for the city, got to work with variety of people

it was a very beautiful experience to be intimately connected with these people, very active motivated hikers, some people who’d never spent time even at a park

really wanted to help people have a more enjoyable, more intimate experience with natural world

then got into corporate world, for about 5 years, it was good to learn a lot of skills, but definitely aching, stress, heaviness of not having that immersion that I used to have

caught up in career, societies idea of success, lost connection with self, deep connection with natural world

year, decided to hike pacific crest trail, had been training, reconnecting with mountains, beaches, when I took the leap, and left for the trail, such a transformation from being immersed in the wilderness, back country for 5 months, feel completely at peace now that I’ve had that experience, affirmed, not everybody can take that much time off their life

but any amount of time is so beneficial, now that I’m back, into the science, philosophy, how to get more nature time into our busy lives, liberating motivating

TP: want to get into the drama of this whole arch of preparing, doing some permaculture the other day, mentioning we were gonna talk about this, the PCT, how do people survive, you can’t bring a semi truck water tank that drives behind you, what are the amenities on the trail, he said people will send selves care packages, I don’t really have a clue

JM: the resupply logistics, first, instead of one really long trip, think of as series of 3 to 5 day, sometimes more than 7 days depending on snow, how quick you hike, generally 3 to 5 days, given that , hiker hunger, metabolism working so hard, never felt hunger like that before, if you think about it as you’re going town to town, long series of small backpacking trips, you can self packages ahead of time, my strategy was I resupplied in town, if you’re lucky, supermarkets, sometimes just gas station, generally you know, or if you didn’t ask around, anticipate that, if you go get into a town with a big grocery store, buy food, ship it forward, only did for really small towns, didn’t want to eat pop tarts and snicker bars, backpacking food, if you don’t go really expensive route, has a lot more nutrients compared to options like instant ramen, after a while, can’t eat this any more, try to mix it up, hit up bulks, blessing to find bulk section, keeping an open mind, would have been hard if I had any dietary restrictions if I was vegan or gluten intolerant, I would have done more sending myself ahead of time, its really not that much cheaper or convenient to send yourself the boxes ahead of time, you’re tastes change

you don’t have a car, last thing you want to do is walk more

TP: from prepper survivalist world, lot of people in fantasy land, vision of how their gonna be so fit, prowess, bad ass, when zombie apocalypse happens, but they’re not conditioning in the mean time, but the experience of doing this endurance drill, makes me think everything has to be so tightly economized, efficiency, variables to consider, you’re probably better prepared for anything to go wrong, then people who make a whole life style out of being a prepper, tripping me out

could you tell me about some of the sort of dietary life hacks that you came up with, as some one doing this frugally, out of necessity, on a budget, how to have healthy food and not junk food

JM: does take a toll, body type can’t just eat anything, when I was on trail, I was like omg I can eat chips and candy, I really felt terrible, I really need to take care of myself, I was like okay I really need to change the trajectory of my nutrition, took a lot of supplements, glucosamine , multivitamin, try to pick up juice shakes, I needed that because when you’re on the trail, you have to consider weight right, weight expense and convenience

for example, you can get tuna packets, just a staple for hikers, thing about them, not terribly expensive, but not cheap either, on cost, in the circle of the through hikers, most people agree it’s about $1000 a month, on a tighter budget its possible to hike less, you’re gonna be spending less time in town, if you’re a social person its a fun part of the experience to explore the town

if you’re on a tight budget its definitely possible to do the hike on less, buy the food in bulk previously

dehydrating food at home and sending forward, people get sick of the same food, but you can spend a lot more on the trail as well, stay in hotel, one bed vs 6 hikers, or alcohol, or deserts, depends on person, average person not super luxurious is about $1000, barrier to entry is not accessible to everybody, it is a big trip, felt very privileged that I had opportunity

TP: bullet points, staple macro nutrients, can feel you on the weight and price, on that path as urban survivalist, trying to figure out what my pallet will enjoy and what my guts will handle, I could have the most Bourgeoisie, organic fresh catered diet to the maximum degree of what I know is the ideal, but if I did that I wouldn’t be able to do anything else, joke about “whole paycheck”

but I do believe in my heart of hearts that there are life hacker ways to have extreme frugality, but have extreme nourishment, bulk, group buys, I’m curious for you, fats, proteins, carbohydrates in that framework, stuff you could tolerate the longest, didn’t make you sick, sweet spot of weight and cost, ramen doesn’t cut it

JM: biggest thing for me, that I bough dehydrated vegetables, basically a soup mix, in bulk, just add it to everything, find the vegetables that you like, if you have a dehydrator, I would say incorporating vegetables into your diet no matter what, can eat dried meat, jerky, bison bars, sausage, tuna or chicken pouches, but if you just have that, you’re lacking that balance,

really enjoyed dried, pre prepared beans, really not that expensive, compared to bison bar, or higher end nut butters, just dried beans, make sure they’ve been dehydrated as cooked beans, they’re like bean flakes, if you’re vegan or something, or if body can’t tolerate fat anymore, its really high fat out there, powered humus also an option

sunflower seeds are really cheap

also drink powders, couldn’t handle the sugar, protein powders keep you full

cheeses work really well, lactose intolerant, but a popular lunch was a flour tortilla, summer sausage, and hard cheese

things like spam, powdered eggs, dehydrated milk, I really enjoyed dried veggies, dried fruits

chilli mangos was a treat, new technologies for much lighter, dehydrated and freeze dried veggies and fruits

really liked raw stuff, everything was so dry, and processed, but things like nutritional yeast, everything but the bagel package, sauce packets, miso soup, chicken noodle soup, powdered taco mix

lots of sodium and preservatives, but they’re light, cheap, last a long time, if in a pinch they have something to offer

I just bit the bullet and got green juices, or super food mixes whenever I could afford it

avoid ramen, so many other things available, entire bagels, last for a few days, instant rice and potatoes, always a staple, nan flat bread, corn tortillas don’t last very well, whole slices of bread, couscous was really popular

you have you’re good old trail mix, mixing it up and making it different, you really start to despise it

TP: shifting into more paleo and keto trend if you will, and so I’ve been experimenting a lot with build seeds, grinding into a more palettable form, powdered tahini, from bulk sesame seeds, grinding down to pumpkin seeds, mixing with coconut oil, like bread and butter, get that experience but it’s low carb, more protein, then having that fat, thinking about weight factor

were people bringing tubs of coconut oil or was it just too much weight, olive oil or other oils, calorie dense but you can’t eat that that much of it

JM: lots of oil, add a scoop of coconut oil to your meal, delicious, add more calories, seen people carrying full glass bottle of hot sauce, to spice things up, seen someone carry a glass jar of coconut oil

when for lighter right

went for single use coconut packets, a light way to incorporate into meals, trying to avoid highly processed carbs, I don’t make me feel that great

nuts, sunflower seeds, chia hemp and flax seeds also in my diet

they’re just delicious

TP: sprouting seeds and recycling water?

JM: read about a woman who sprouted just in a tupperware, poked holes, put a piece of cheese cloth, had fresh greens all week

broccolli, peas, lentils, alfalfa, also there was a time where there was a bunch of rain, miners lettuce foraging in oregon, what if I just threw some of that in to my ramen

TP: what level of foraging is legal/desirable, plant ID nerds, not gonna survive 100% but hope they wouldn’t be too restrictive about that kind of stuff

JM: I really can’t say, if we’re allowed to, it’s a protected trail, but in oregon you have to have a permit to forage for wild mushrooms, also, I definitely eat the huckleberries on the trail that were everywhere, just so many

TP: some things are invasive too, its a benefit

JM: thank you these giant berries we’re going into the trail

if I had a little more confidence in local flora and fauna, know for sure you can’t hunt, if it was permissible I’d totally lead a group, let’s get launch, wild mustard, miners lettuce, local invasive plants, didn’t have personal experience foraging, other than the berries

TP: people not yet in romance with nature yet, remember when I didn’t feel a romance with nature, grew up playing in woods, at the beach, wasn’t a deep yearning to connect with something I’d never known, didn’t feel deprived, took it for granted, video games started to eat my childhood, I don’t want to say disenchanted, I can commiserate with the people who feel like they feel more excitement from video games, socializing, hipster strips, when go out to nature I’m bored, cynical earlier in life, then rekindled romance through gardening, seeking healing, would love to have you in your words, help people feel into the shifts and transformation and deep soul tissue healing that’s happening, if you could romanticize the journey

JM: I think just to start it off, if you’re not in love, or find yourself bored, but you’re stressed out, want to work on health, nurture it better, just like to share, some of the research that is, where we are right now with nature immersion is where yoga was, in terms of more mainstream, widespread, growing body of research combined with intuitive understanding, tipping point, health researchers, government, very progressive, bring nature to people’s every day lives, it can lower stress hormone levels, reduce nervous system arousal, enhance immune system function, decrease anxiety, improve mood, help with aggression, accelerate healing

highly stimulated in this world now, if you want to try, give it a chance, big study, 20k people, people who spent 2 hours a week in green spaces, parks, neighborhood with a ton of trees, just hanging out and removing yourself from urban environment, traffic, noise, any kind of natural environment, either all at once or spaced out, like taking 10 minutes on launch break, fresh air, giving self space

attention restoration theory, allows brain to restore, allows cognition, your brain giving it space and time to relax, when you go back to desk or work, cognition levels are much better

little things like that, if you’re not someone who gets super excited, its such an easy thing, give yourself 10 minutes, 2 hours a week spread out, try it

when we make something important, our health, mental health, emotional states, spiritual states, at very least, relax and think, relax and not think, taking time to do that, make it important, have that connection with natural space it will begin to show itself to you

a friend that is not trying to tell you what to do with your life, or unsolicited advice, they’re just there, allow you to work through whatever you’re going through

natural world all of the patterns that exist in that space are things that as humans we’ve evolved with, all very familiar

one quote I really love, from scientist who was a pioneer for forest bathing Japan, “we are visually fluent in the patterns of the natural world, because we evolved in the scenery of the natural world we can process its patterns easily, it is this fluency that relaxes us”

TP: stress less, talk to the nature painting, talk to the landscape

JM: with my own business, researching so much, why isn’t this more popular, why isn’t this more well known

allow attention to restore our brains, to chill out, thinking tests better, in New York, some crazy busy place, even just looking at pictures of nature, videos, listening, put on headphones listen to nature sounds

all of that is beneficial, so it’s like why not

not the most stimulating, in terms of instant gratification, but if you make your health, mental health, emotional state, a priority, 10 minutes a day for you to level up

TP: PSA for gamers, as of just very recently Santa Cruz has joined Oakland, decriminalize entheogenic plants and fungi, the whole suite of plant derived entheogens, still federally highly regulated, but just like cannabis, this movement is growing very fast, #decriminalizenature, I feel like for me what shift was the romance with nature 10xed when I started to integrate dancing in the garden with psychedelics, because all of that dopamine you’d get from slaying dragons in a video game world, you’ll be that thrilled just watching the flow of nature, and being a part of it, and doing your own shadow work, and having nature spirits help you with that

don’t want impose that narrative on our work

JM: hemp will save the world environmentally

TP: what are some of the more cinematic moments

JM: very very beautiful views are conducive of these type of moments, knowing that when you’re looking out on this beautiful landscape, mountain peaks, feel very small, but very connected, look out and see all these pieces of me, subatomic particles, everything is me, and I am it, really grounding type of experience to have, look out, wow all the issues I’m struggling with or limiting factors, or negative head space, all that just dissipates, because you put things into perspective, look into the night sky, see the stars, and you just, sense of awe, and admiration, and deep respect, when you are just so connected, just in tune

TP: I feel that, live for those vistas, any times where equipment failed, or got soaked, freezing, suffer through a night, moments of triumph

JM: I would say nature is cruel but powerful mistress, so like, in the same way that it will guide me into this revelation about absolute awe adoration, at the same time I’ve been cold, and hungry, and so defeated, but I think those are the moments when we’re struggling, going through change, extreme internal conflict due to weather and terrain, you’re able to grow, I have so much respect for nature, those experiences teach you how to tap into your grit, drive is more important than intrinsic motivation, which is fleeting, tap into own tenacity, hardship

when things are gravy at home, stressed out from work or life, but physically when you are drenched, no placed to put your tent, or snow, post holing thigh deep, on side of mountain gotta get off but sun is setting

even just being out there and pushing yourself is honestly the best way to make a transformation, quickest and most impactful way

meditation is very powerful and important, but holy moly I just did that, very immediate evolution when you experience that kind of physical challenge

just think about it, anytime you get pummeled in the ocean, I respect you so much, I will not through trash in you, I’m just a naked human, a flesh bag

TP: break up, death of loved own, quitting smoking or drinking, seems like any kind of major shift or transition even if its just a week, sounds like you’re a great person to be an evangelist for this, and it’s not a pill that you just take and pay big pharma to have you on a pill for the rest of your life, hopefully get off anti-depressants, I can feel that

we’ll have you back to talk more about your business, thought about doing meet ups, I was just exposed to night hiking, maybe we’ll be looking forward to what you have to offer, more than welcome to promote

JM: for now, instagram up, jessicamoonco on instagram, hoping to launch officially next month if you are stressed out, want some mindfullness guidance and encouragement to get out doors, definitely check me out, jessicamoon.co forthcoming

TP: heart ached when you told me you were in a corporate career, didn’t hear the exhuberance in your voice when you told me about it, glad it served you well for business administration, training for solopreneur, blessings to everyone who thrives in that environment, having known you at the peak of your youthful enthusiasm for exploration and breaking rules and being a rebel, I’m so thrilled to know that everything is coming full circle for you.

I had similar story of it being incongruent with spirit/soul being in a cubicle, but knowing when I was in corporate environment I was mining the experience so I wouldn’t just be a broke ass hippy, I’d know how to take a penny and make two pennies with out

JM: thank you so much for having me, thank you so much for your attention and hope we can get out doors, level up, hope you have a beautiful week

TP: been a treasure and blessing, much love to you and all your beloveds

Futurizing Spirituality Education and Goddess Worship with Visionary Artist Satva TPP202

In this episode I’m joined by one of my all time favorite visionary artists Satva. We met briefly at the Los Angeles conscious life expo about 10 years ago. I was mesmerized by his unique approach to depicting divine feminine beauty and themes of futurism, sci fi, anime, and much more. It was an honor to have him on the podcast to tell the story of his personal spiritual and artistic evolution.

My favorite of his works is a collection of “Chakra Devis” which are stunningly beautiful representations of the personalities of the chakras, anthropomorphized as human yoginis. He takes us on a guided tour of the symbolism and intentions for each of the 7 major chakra devi pieces. I was extremely grateful to have an opportunity to share my appreciation for his works, it was like a podcast version of chatting with the artist at an art show opening.

We also discuss his yoga gear line Echelon Active and several other creative projects under development. He’s definitely on a path to transform and transmit ancient sacred healing and empowering wisdom to the modern world through an array of multi-media offerings.

Com and our journey together will begin podcast episode number 202 I am being joined by saatva who is a Visionary artist that I encountered now several years ago back up around 2010 I believe that the conscious life Expo and West LA and he had a booth there where there was just the most Exquisite activating beautiful depictions of yoginis in these representations of the chakras and I had never seen shelter more compelling set of artworks really I would say in my life and I since I was in a pubescent and developing and developing my my arrow so you know I really was attracted to the the Visionary art and a Sci-Fi art of the the heavy metal comics and the the even the Akira comics and definitely would like steeped as a as a adolescent in this futuristic sci-fi and an anyting erotic I obviously devoured and so I really was a big fan of Louis Royal as well as like I bought those art books at his in Geiger and what not and what would I think a lot of that stuff lacked for me was this activating sacred geometry spiritually intelligent Dimension mixed with the Sci-Fi mixed with the futurism and in with the arrow sin so when I saw at the conscious life Expo and I saw that the only things coming together it was just like so such a turn-on at to my eyes and my heart so I bought a shirt and I wore it around for many years and I love it and I want everybody to see this sort of Flagship part that said we’re going to talk about today that the Shocker Davies but we also talked about his other multimedia formats but really I feel like this is one of those very few and a lifetime epiphanies of really connecting with the work of an artist so it’s a huge honor supposed to have you on the podcast at this stuff with in and help us appreciate your work and I I just feel like it’s time and it’s right for me in a lot of ways to talk with you about collaborations in commissions and Licensing and what not I think this is just really healing and beautiful work so with all that said tell us all about your journey as an artist and how did you develop the skills in end of the wisdom that you embed into the works thank you a lot and I appreciate that you are you are touched by it and I’m just trying to manifest what I’m what I’m seeing from a from essentially from an alternate future that one that we’re not really seeing in this world one that the one we see is very devoid of culture and and I see a future that’s full of a plethora of cultures and the Melting Pot of of everything so for me that’s an odd future Optimist at heart and I want to see the world become a better place so a lot of my heart has to do with empowering women in a way that Society for so long has emailed them down and a lot of it comes in as a as a goddess worship and growing up I was raised by hippie parents who were in The New Age movement my mom was a yoga teacher growing up my dad was involved with a Buddhist Monastery and old Burmese Buddhist Community I grew up with a very open-minded a household that I was experienced I was some influence by cultures from around the world from Judaism to Christianity to the ancient Egyptian religion to Hinduism to Buddhism all of that was very present in my childhood so I was able to kind of piece things together and create my own spiritual beliefs out of that and and so what one thing that has come through a lot for me is just how a lot of these religions have avoided the worship of the goddess and just even within Judaism how it started out with the Ashera who is the goddess consort to Yahweh and even within Hinduism this emphasis on Krishna run on Ganesh instead of the different goddesses that were incredibly powerful and so what what I found is of all the religions that Hinduism really seems the most intact from the ancient goddess times and so I definitely gained the most inspiration from Hinduism and I feel like it’s really relevant to today because we live in a world where women are getting more power gaining more voice and so there is there’s a necessity to find the spiritual embodiment of of the female in a way that’s that’s like absurd to me that it hasn’t exist existed because in a women create life that’s just how it works and yet here we are seeing this this God created the universe and it’s just like a text but here on the earth you know women create life everyday so how come we’re denying the Goddess that that roll of of the Divine Creator and be in holding that sacred and so that’s that’s essentially part of my spiritual belief is and I I try to manifest that with my heart and make it current in a way that you know a lot of the gods and goddesses are depicted in their own cultural context from you know thousands of years ago but I I look into the the spiritual world for what a current Avatar of that would be in a sentence how how these energies and Spirits manifest in the modern world because we we live in the in a world where were most religions are intact and and unchanging from thousands of years and yet the energies have shifted so drastically that it’s I feel like it’s time for some new archetypes new spiritual archetypes to be formed to help us move forward into a futuristic world and we’re not tied to old paradigms and old beliefs but we are able to manifest new realities based on the intersection of Science and spirit in you know even using the chakras as an example of finding the the scientific and energetic qualities of the chakras and then using those in our meditation it it it it brings it out so it’s not just some crazy religion it becomes a scientific practice of spirit of Consciousness and no other influences for me I was very influenced by hip-hop and graffiti in anime and robots and Max and just imagining the future that we’re about to enter and so it’s it’s finding that balance of these really ancient religions from ancient Egypt and Hinduism to you know robotic Max and colonizing Mars and just understanding those two extremes and finding finding a balance of that and that’s that’s really at the heart of most of my work beautiful it’s such a joy to hear all this because I’ve been stealing it and inviting with it in into no really that you have these BF antiquing in really true and deep hearted kind of influences and experiences and just it’s great to hear that that you have such an articulate View and vision and with bringing us together and I’m curious do you were you a big cyberpunk kind of sci-fi fan also of the film genres that depicted this futuristic stuff because I’m seeing this is very Blade Runner ich Tu me to definitely I love Blade Runner my favorite book of all time and snow crab and yeah I love cyberpunk I’m just I found in the last I used to think of myself as a cyberpunk artist until I really came to the conclusion that a lot of cyberpunk is very is like women hating and there’s this really dark kind of chauvinistic side to it that I really am against and so that it it really brings up a really interesting thing that it’s kind of like sifting through Instagram sifting through hashtags right you have certain hashtags which have the same content and only men are looking at it and then you have other Hashtags with their equivalent futuristic contact that women are looking at and so I’ve been trying to find that that balance wear allot how how we can bridge that divide and allow for an A+ female-centered cyberpunk to emerge that women want to embrace because it’s safe to say for example recently in Netflix there was a new series about robots and something robots and sex and love or something and it was awful it was so dark and my friends was like oh it’s cyberpunk you’re going to love it and I I hated it because it just was not it wasn’t an empowering experience I got I want to see you know women in the future that have superpowers that can just Blast away any anything that comes their way and you know it depicted a much more Twisted kind of reality and so for me that’s that’s my Prime objective is the empowerment of women to to be as beautiful or as strong or as you know as badass as they possibly can and I I I I seen more and more that that they need to hear that because Society often doesn’t doesn’t show that and and so yeah anyway that’s that’s that’s why I’m happy we’re so on the same page with that and I have my own reasons why in my life story and evolution I guess I call myself sometimes a gender traitor not that I’m in transition per se but that I just stopped being interested in ball games and barbecues and not to really insult modern masculinity but it’s just I realize that I had more I got more enjoyment and more fulfillment out of spending time in groups of women and being kind of a tomgirl maybe a kiss if there’s if it’s like exploring the mysteries of the feminine and really really sipping the nectar of the goddess and wanting to serve instead of fronting with all my homies about how we treat our women like shit and how we’re all homophobia can it’s just this much he’s Mo it’s just really exhausting in a real a real turn off to me and so I was able to I was just started to see the energy of the of the Shakti and I’m wondering in your story is there was there any kind of like breaking point or kind of fork in your road where you started to grab a tape and seek more of that the shock the energy or what was the Catalyst did you have like amazing sexual Kundalini experience and you became a devel goddess worship or just where the goddess worship enter your the your certified the Zeitgeist of your mind I mean San Francisco is a very bizarre place in growing up there in the 80s and 90s it was a very strange mix of things that that made it very confusing to grow up there and that was because the the mix of the feminist movement with the the game movement had this really strange effect where they made all the straight men into like villains and it vilified finding women attractive in the strange way where it where if I found the guy attractive that would be okay but if I found a woman attractive I was in a sentence you know turning her into an object and it and it was this this bizarre place where we’re by the time I was twelve I had guilt for finding women attractive and I was the only one who had several friends who have similar experience without so is a very bizarre kind of the opposite World should should I say but it took me a long time to realize that some women love being beautiful and that there’s nothing wrong with beauty itself like that and and different types of beauty are found Beautiful by different men and women and so that that like that denial of the beauty of the feminine was kind of driver for me to be like no I find this beautiful and I don’t think that this is wrong I’m not I’m not like objectifying I’m I’m you know admiring and idolizing a certain Beauty comes from the Divine source that that women just magically have this power to have this beauty and it’s not just Skin Deep there’s a beauty there’s a Grace and you know different women have different types of Beauty in and so it just really forced me to to really look deeply at that and at my own my own you know contractions vs. what women in the women around me what they wanted and and so it it’s interesting cuz you you have this other side of feminism that says okay women have to go to work and women have to be just like men and then you have someone like Hillary Clinton who dresses like a man and yet she’s the embodiment of the feminist movement come president and yet along the way everything feminine is lost and and that there’s this idea that everything feminine is there for negative that must be removed in order for a woman to be equal that that really I can’t you know it makes no sense to me I mean it just even the fact that women now where you know at least in the 90s women all wore pants and it was like okay where were you know we’re trying to be more like men and that that was that was like the standard normal process and yet now I see with fashion with the way the world’s going women are allowed to embrace the feminine demore it’s become more acceptable with yoga and just how you know how fashion has emerged women are like yes I’m beautiful and I’m able to manifest is and and it’s not about men looking at me it’s about it’s about how I feel right so you know the name that goes to the whole the whole dichotomy of the Muslim burka vs. you know women who don’t want to wear anything in this that whole that whole realm is like is it the man’s job to like tell a woman what she can wear what or is it a woman’s job to decide how she wants to express herself and I saw an end and I see that women have every possible View and so there’s no reason that that any man should decide what what they want for themselves so it’s it’s all tied 2-2 you know all of these issues that are still really you know present today and and so that’s that’s really well that’s that’s my story how I came into it that’s awesome and it’s just so timely to because literally right before we haven’t started the conversation I just flashed onto Instagram and saw that there is like a flash mob sort of a thing of women laying down nude at the intersection in front of the Facebook Instagram headquarters I believe in New York City and they were holding up giant art pieces or photographs of nipples in a basically it’s a weave in nipple hashtag what they’re protesting and so this is Xavier literally we are at this moment of the intersection of what you’re saying and and I’ve had a funny thought for a few years now about how yet but if a man you know is if is threatened by the nipple and afraid of it he can just wear like we can save a lot of fabric by just using one strip of a blindfold and then head that all of that sitter putting all of that cloth on women just put a tiny strip on your eyes and then you know walk around with the assistance of some kind and then you will you know you won’t be your poison by their erotic you know powers whatever you think is going on but it’s powerful it’s a powerful incredible I if you using Instagram again all the most popular accounts on Instagram are women and it just shows that in this new new era you know after hundreds of years of Oppression or stop thousands of years that women really are on the verge of running running running the show in a different way and that men men’s role is we are the support for them to be able to to grow and manifests that they need us and we need them and I’m not saying that men are inferior it’s it’s it’s more in line with how the ancient cultures were had this more symbiotic relationship where women have their place and they had they had power in it and and so yeah so I mean if you go back in time it it’s it’s really a trip when you start researching like ancient Egyptian and a lot of the even during Rome a lot of the religious centers of goddess worship the women inside wood would sleep with with the people come in they were essentially prostitutes but they were revered prostitute so it was like this strange it said it was a different way of thinking of it and then as patriarch eat so cold it started demonizing these these temples and you know the cult of Isis was so widespread across all the room that the only way to defeat it was when they they turned it into mother Mary so that they could you know turn turn into a Jesus thing but but yeah in the ancient world women women had incredible power even when you look at ancient Egypt a lot the the only way of pharaoh had power is if the mother was vine where is the mother was an Isis you were you were not you were nobody if your mother was a nice and so essentially it was if you are Pharaoh you had to have a royal Queen Mother and that was just a very different way to look at things then we have today and when that when the the Greeks came in and they wrote the history they wrote all the women outside of the Egyptian history so we don’t we don’t have a record of of the actual history we have it filtered through Roman and Greek guys that were incredibly patriarchal so yeah I feel like here we are again at at a Crossroads and it’s super important that women and I don’t think all women realize that yet I think women across the world still have a long way to go but we’re at that crossroads where men you know men are the protectors and are the support women can blossom and be whoever they want to be and I think that’s super important for the world to even and all this violence and all the wars in the world you know as soon as there’s a female cat Collective running the planet then you know you think they’re going to want War 2 happen like course not I totally totally this is all the philosophy and ideology that I am totally aligned with and exactly you have make Make Love Not War and facilitate the the women to be intimate in a more of a primal for me looking at bonobos even in just looking at how functional non Dominator matriarchal or maitre folk cultures village-based societies are all of our ancestors worshipping the Leone worshipping the fertility of nature in the Saturn aspect it’s it’s really how we evolved and really we’re going to we’re wasting a lot of energy trying to fight that again ourselves and our nation state boundaries and borders and all of these and actually I have to compliment what you’re saying in this isn’t cynical at all it’s actually in total reverence and all of it but really when I think about when I was experiencing on Instagram what you’re talking about and I see like I million follower accounts and how Howell magnetizing and how addictive these images are for everybody and it really just reminds me that no matter what you try to layer on top of it or how you try to obscure if we are all seeking the goddess and we’re all just gorging ourselves on the imagery of the feminine and and all of its expressions and it’s so obvious there and it made me think of this this excerpt of me and Michael case we’re not rely realized we’re not living in any dictatorship we’re living in a butt ocracy would love to now that having kind of pushed out that the real the backstory for you and the meaning of this art I really would love to do a sort of kind of commentary behind-the-scenes expiration if you could give us a a curated kind of tour walkthrough of the it’s 3 sot for.com chakra Dash Davie. HDMI that’s what I’m looking at right now and starting from the bottom if we can if you can give us a little guy to Journey so anybody who is listening to this now if you want to queue up your browser or your phone to that page we’re going to take a journey of exploring the symbolism and the intelligence that you put into these beautiful works the ones that had captured my soul and his and it just kept me really seeking these expressions and I will tell you what these are magical sigils cuz as I look at these now and I’m like wow I’ve been able to manifest experiences with these prophetesses in my real life so this is something to study and and really poor energy into these works of art and and they will nourish your soul and they will get the hell rounds it is about diffusing that pleasurable experience across so many different Souls that it’s impossible to attributed to one person and really I believe that this is not an astoundingly long wide penis that I have that I think is perfectly shaped to do what it was designed to do and I’m happy with it whatever yeah I’ve gotten good reviews so far in life women with wanted to kill other women because they were so possessive of this thing that is to say all it wants to do is just be warm and wet and one of them that is so I have a beloved partner and you know I would kiss your boobs goodbye and tell him to be good every day knowing if she was like why I never did anything bad to anybody ever and I realized that was the pure essence of innocence is Brett’s cuz like you can never say that they ever do anything bad to never manipulated anybody they never play games with anybody they just give and give and give you know so anyway that’s another story if we could only all aspire to be as innocent as a breast but never do anything to hurt anybody ever never had to be told to be nice just what is nice you know x-ray sexual Zen state that people would have to meditate for years if they didn’t eat mushrooms to figure that out like become a breast and live in the consciousness of breast in this and just experienced pleasure and give pleasure and don’t fucking overthink it you know it as long as everybody is of legal age and sound mind and knows what they’re signing up for essentially we can work out the details but I’ve been in those moments where it’s like yes what’s making this woman lose her mind and ecstasy is 80% the emotional connection with other women that she is sharing and then I am there to be basically a prop to the beautiful. Theater of feminine understanding and that is when I understood For the First Time The futility of women trying to squeeze blood from a stone to make bullheaded dumb men who would rather be playing video games or breaking shit or glowing sit up or doing something fucking mindless and heartless for fun and just acting them and making them be a woman when they’re not a woman because they can’t explore sexual intimacy with other women because you’re afraid of the taboo of lesbianism and because it would be against the rules and whatnot so when melted down and was in a sensor Moniz were psychedelic ceremonies wear them all of these stories were melted away and it was just women in fucking ecstasy the agony and ecstasy and using my cock is a prop but also as an energetic current and a source of love and that my refinement was allow me to be in that space and I realize that it’s like it is so cumbersome to be responsible for a woman’s orgasm in a love making session why would I want all of that burden on myself it’s like I have to at my age I have to think about not coming too fast beat not losing my erection and in trying to make a sincere emotional sincere present connection with the person who I am kissing is with that is enough for me to have to do it now I’m responsible for her squirting and I like coming in the same say when I saw the leveraging of all these other women and how freely flowing the orgasms come when the openness in the connectedness is there with other women so so like I said I’m not taking a step back and now if anybody wants to come at me they’re going to have to go through that that ate a form of of grade school of learning in or black ass like that you’re going to come at me do you want to fuck me you need a black belt in loving me to get in and if you go into any Karate Dojo they’re not even said hey I want to do what you do can you hand me your black belt right now please here I’ll give you a beer can I buy you a beer and then you give me a black belt no stupid you’re so stupid Bibb so what was the quote from the movie UHF which is very a so you definitely watch UHF to understand where my sense of humor comes from but yes I’ll good good so so we’re solving this problem and creating these designer experiences and so what I realized is that the impulse for a woman to have this one-dimensional relationship with a man’s cock so that she wants to possess it so as you’re a very own the way for me to logically very very simple-minded lycee what is the how do you prevent that is to say well you will learn to get to know my cock at exactly the same time as another person and you will only have a 50/50 relationship with whatever you do you say like you would with your best friend and I had her saying in people may not like to hear me say is cuz it sounds good feed it to your best friend first feed it to your best friend first and I didn’t even think about the secondary effect of that which for me that was just that was just like I’m going to know that you’re not going to lose your mind with jealousy when you can just say here actually you can I’ll let you go first so that would be the the the tantric taboo test of transgression against yourself like that Siri you’re going to lose your mind will feel into that and start simple we’re going to dance together and you’re going to watch just that and is that make your blood boil what happens after your blood simmers down do you start to like so now it’s like whatever that point is where that demon comes out of jealousy you were going to rub the shit out of your clit until it goes and tell you what you’ve you become a demon Whisperer with your clit and me and everybody just wants to create more and add more locks to the fire and you transmute that negative emotion into a positive motion and then in the probably will be called conversion the opposite we don’t have a word for it we do not have a word except for that one which no one knows it set designer neologism but we don’t have the band singing about how good it feels to watch their wife get fucked by Adam Ant And so yeah here we come back full circle so we will be so we’re going to we’re going to have these experiences we’re going to sing about it and and so this is the this is the what the the the climax of this conversation will be in my opinion is is when I talked about how the it’s not just a theoretical Gaiden guiding principle to say oh yeah we’ll will like yeah okay you flip a coin and I have sex first with the person who wins that round and then I stopped having sex with you and hopefully it didn’t lose my wind in 5 minutes cuz I was so fucking turn on by the sexy after they all I got another $5 and it’s over for me for like they’re already like forgot every system anyway cuz they’re tearing each other inside out and everything and I’m just watching and trying to like make it come to live again and finally it will eventually but you should know I’m getting That’s The Hampsterdance the Tantra hence the sexual Jedi Knight training so that you can breathe breathe through and in have the orgasms without losing the love don’t be a 5 lb jump so hit the two feminists so I think I’m going to say okay if she’s dying to give me a blowjob then like we time it for like okay like we’re going to play your favorite song and it’s going to be about the same equal thanks to to her favorite song and you going to eat each other’s favorite songs and I’m like hold each other’s heads and massage each other and just be like holding each other from behind and Miss Priss massaging each other that they take turns but there’s still a potential in that for for jealousy to arise in forever and for it to be I mean I just thought of a way to actually literally short-circuit everything in a really beautiful elegant circuit and so here is the design and I will try to verbally explain unless they can so I love the idea of two women’s hands clasping together around my cock and massaging it gently up and down as they face each other and our eye gazing intermittently so the visual so far is is that the dear beloved goddesses or I are facing each other so actually agency kneeling I’m I am laying on my back and they both are kneeling with their literally as clothes into my armpit is possible so that I can reach Below in between their legs and butt so I can have a hand on each clit and vulva fingers is a good middle finger on the clit and to end so if I’m cuffing the vulva and able to use my longest middle finger to be stroking the each clit simultaneously in patterns you know singer sew and I’m basically playing streams is like playing guitar and make a solo I’m playing shift I have this is because the end of vocalizations or what I’m tuning for it you know so so it isn’t this beautiful instrument of a playing these two young hearts that are kissing each other and like I gazy and exactly is so I’m making sure that they’re not feeling left out in that apartment while I’m being stimulated and everybody is being stimulated sexually and everyone is feeling a part of a closed circuit that is meeting everyone’s needs and in and there’s no favoritism there’s no hierarchy the really so thin and if anything I am as the man in my back and that is what time trick Kali worshipping actual full fully pornographic and I hesitate to use that word was fully glorious erotic depictions of the circuitry of how this stuff works so if it’s if you’re not approve any 3 I mean if you’re not so sexually stunted then you would just understand that these icons are just road maps to the spiritual terrain of understanding the energetics of Shiva Shakti god goddess energy so we’re designing with that and we’re creating a maximum hydraulic energy flows in in in a way that is very egalitarian actually inhibits the growth of the ego and that sense of so-and-so I’ve experienced this in not that exact formation but that’s why I aspire to be a porn director so that I can I can work with people who are very comfortable taking Direction and are not going to lose their minds and so I actually had this conversation today they’re what makes me not a cult leader and what prevents me from ever becoming a cult leader is this one fundamental thing right but I have to study cold it is to know how not to be a quote later cuz otherwise I would just be cranking out so much Kool-Aid day Kool-Aid would have to invent a time to punch flavor you know I got to be sponsored by Kool-Aid the Kool-Aid man oh yeah it would have it I make my own Kool-Aid Man Township anyway after dark okay I wanted how they’ve not sued like I have all of the libelous memes and they feel bad for the Kool-Aid guy I didn’t fucking poisonous people man I don’t mean to be making fun of them and I really got to get serious about not making a joke out of the people who died in the massacre Crazy Eights it’s it’s it’s public domain now to make a joke to either the expression people say don’t drink the Kool-Aid it’s because people at Jonestown were by a charismatic cult leader who was it was an extremely right with it skips a generation maybe but that’s how memes get formed yes so I mean that’s how they sort of deprecated the roots and you say things that we don’t know how does the reason we’re numb it so they don’t drink the Kool-Aid means don’t consent to a groupthink. Virus that makes mass suicide be acceptable and so they poisoned the Kool-Aid punch and that’s how everyone can scented make give it to their kids and everyone is like this is fine and some people try to protest and they were silenced and some people try to run away and it was a nightmare and it was absolutely what I would I must not allow myself to become as a priest that uses sexual mind manipulation and coercive tactics to trade love and affection attention and orgasm for 4 unquestioning devotion into the point of suicide so that that’s the extreme case that that we that is a litmus test for if you were going down that slippery slope but I actually tend to want to study the mental illness of sociopath sociopathy narcissism and I would like to consider myself a benign I’m the benign narcissist I know that that is a character flaw that I am not how we going to like defeat by doing the past limitations as many times that night and I’m going to roll with it and I’m going to say yeah I will be like Howard Stern and I will be I’m going to if I’m going to be this personality I’m going to make a bonsai tree out of my own ego if I can and have other people help in the process but but things going going back to the to the cult thing and what me what gives me the authority to design this orgasmic Orchestra what why and how do you not just become a colder than soy everyone you meet is basically in that on that game board now how am I going to manipulate you to be in this in this position that I would like you to be in to fulfill my fantasy of engineering all this town truck stuff and and if I’m if I’m this is well that’s spit out the Kool-Aid don’t swallow I think what we’ll get to that for sure that’s going to be a we’re going to get to that but can’t forget that we’ll save that for the for the most triumphant moment the climax is when we’re going to use that it’s so precious now after it’s been built up so ever since a joke that’s going about 2 it’s going to explain come on your face it’s going to come on yesterday and you’re going to beg for it and so hits is it is I’ve had people beg me to come in the third eye and it was hard to resist but this is going to be almost as good as that sharing you this one liner inside joke and just a minute but to wrap up this sort of dark out thing that we were doing with the coal thing is that it how do you know how do I hedge against being the creepiest man every like people think that Barney the purple dinosaur because he and forgive me if I’m butchering the facts here but as far as I know he’s doing what I considered to be taboos for me which is charging women money to have sexual penetrative intercourse with them above all without protection and making that into a to me that’s not a scalable business model and you can ask your doctor wife but Barney I mean I get it and I get that that’s the love thing being cultivated generated so I think I don’t know whether I consider that good pressure bad press for modern Neo Tantra or what not but I’d love to have them on the podcast I’m sure it’s going to happen and I can’t say that I was a fan of the art form of Barney the purple dinosaur but but but I would love to get to the full story and also talked about the ethics and this medical the medical duty of care that comes with sexual and pinch of intercourse with anybody so anyway that’s the sad but who were talking about okay what if you were intrigued and maybe turned on by me talking about these erotic circuit boards then you also have to be somewhat red-flagged and starting to cringe and go where how old is this get arranged in what are the incentives and how do you how do you manage the Eagles and how do you who’s in charge it’s like you can’t it’s a scary thing but you wouldn’t work but that’s why when I went when I say what I realized for me the aha moment in my sexual career was that if I want to have out-of-the-box sex I have to pay lots of money for it from professionals who have trained her nervous system to do theater performance of sexuality as escorts or as Dom’s or as porn performers because they’re good sports they’re not spoil Sports about any of the stuff for the most part if they’re treated well and respected and then contracts are here too and they know what they’re getting into and hopefully they’ve matured and hopefully their brain has developed to its full capacity IE the age that it takes to actually I don’t say that to you exactly so you better know there’s a dimension of Ethics when it comes to harvesting teenagers for your for whatever Annette and I have had some of the best sex in my life as a 30 year old being fucked up fucked senseless by teenager in a row in a monogamous relationship and I will I will tell you that it’s it some it was worth the daddy issues that I had to deal with it was worth reparenting her and it was worth every bit of emotional kind of awkwardness that there wasn’t some of the an Amex because she was such a good full spirited Prime late night it was funny cuz I was like I want to settle you down and basically like I could teach your making a kid with ADHD sit in class is like no she wants to fuck wildly she wants you to perform more than you possibly ever could even at 30 and and she and she is not she doesn’t need these esoteric practices too heavy multi-orgasmic she’s fucking coming or brains out like so hard and I and I couldn’t sit her down the aisle still enough to do any of the practices that I thought were going to be so enlightening and went in the great thing is is it a fuck it like it is certain point you just say no guru there’s a song about it’s like no guru no no scripture No play just in the Dow of the thing so anyway so that’s a side note to say there is a sacred place for adult for fully mature brain develop adults to be having sex with teenagers and and I know that it can be done because I’ve done it but it also takes you can’t just treat them like a commodity please you got to you got to think about pedagogy Nikki learned from the person that you’re teaching teaches you things to like a circle so then so we’re talking about these ethics and where I wanted to just close that point about how I do my best to not be a cult leader I thought I figured it out pretty simply and correct me if I’m wrong but basically it’s it’s I dare you to to indict me for the the criminal and civil liability of misconduct for for for structuring a certain way so this is how I this is this is very simple as this is like this I said that this is a different the difference from a cult leader is that I’m a porn director I pay women to be directed and then I pay whoever I want to I will I will I will choose performers who I resonate with for whatever we would like to do together to make beautiful art and and I will compensate them and pay them to take time out of their lives to be a part of my design and to be directed by me they’re not paying me for healing for enlightenment for direction for guidance and I’m directing them and Meghan gratifying myself and taking their money in convincing mind fucking them and taking more of their money and more than money until they don’t talk to their friends because of and that’s how Colts are basically extractive from their students the colors are extracting from their devotees the difference is how many colors do you know that actually give their devotees money I will pay you oh now I’m making corned a porn director and I am more karmically correct than the fucking Guru who is fucking having people kiss his feet and take your money so who would have thought that the corn directors were the most enlightening Yogi’s to ever attempt to be divine and I have my favorites and I’m a fan of some of them I want I want to see the names but right now but that cuz I wouldn’t want to leave any out you know what I mean bless you all for paying people to direct them into your Twisted fucking fantasies and giving them that dignity like hats of their not wondering about it cuz there’s that was having a conversation today it’s like a buyer’s remorse if I say to you I’m just saying if you remember when you had to if you were old enough to know that there was a day when when when your allowance equals one CD for $15 so humorous if you never had experience this is important I think this is important teaching is important teachable moment is that is that and I don’t want to be today. Take care no man’s planning anything in them to have fun here but this is like this is this is late so here’s the funny thing though you think about I remember what it was like when I had to convince myself that amusing that a CD that fucking sucked was actually good because I paid money for it and I would not let myself suffer the indignity of having made a mistake so I was in a state of denial and delusion so so so feeling this isn’t meditation okay everybody think of something that you paid money for that you discovered was in the zoo is suboptimal and you used mental gymnastics to convince yourself that you actually liked it even though you knew deeply that you didn’t like it but it was called buyer’s remorse it was called the sunk cost fallacy of sunk cost fallacy is that because you invested something into this you have to continue beyond the point of no return because you can’t live with yourself other ways so that is this Twisted perverse placebo effect that happens when it’s like I went to the sex guru to get healed and he said for 9999 I would get here and but I but I could also upsell to the bonus extra double healing deluxe super Cosmic Crystal trademark excetera right thing and try before you buy money back guarantee accessories that you’re all of his legal he’s in fine print all the stuff but there is but that’s where it is we’re expecting to have some result that you paid money for and you will question whether or not okay did I was a hole in my heel did I pay enough money to pay more and some money and it is it distorts things and you did it it did contaminated in a way for that so I’m skeptical that I can be done right in that sense and that’s just me so what I say let’s work in the garden together my time equals your time and now we’re planting trees equals an hour of Yoni massage your prostate massage and therefore it’s a flat equal everybody has the same it’s his first come first serve you know and orgasms for work shirts that was my hand jobs for Humanity and helping a tree with two or so you’ll see it yeah it’s a white paper was written so is he ever gets faster so so that’s how I’m not going to be a cult leader is that I’m not going to charge people money to be Pawns in my game of or are you going to be players in my Game of Thrones Township Township twister you will get paid handsomely to be in my theater my game of Township twister and you can quit you can get any time you know that’s that’s that’s the thing to you won’t be like oh if I walk away now you know that then where I’m not like what I paid for I’m I’m already invested so much forever so so many different dynamics of of incentivization happening in this thing is so anyway that that was I think it is important to lay that out and and this is probably the first time I’ve articulated it on the podcast but I just was having this conversation today with this answer the CD metaphor thing where it’s like you know it did that it’s it’s a problem that way so so that’s I will not be extracting money from people in that in that way I’d rather pay them to be in my in my Productions and feel better about it that way so getting back to the fun stuff in the production itself so imagining that that would be the way from now on where I’m like if you want to that’s basically what I just described about that circuit of three people as a minimum to starting point is like that is the that is first base now you know that’s first base because getting into the circuitry of actual intercourse that’s where it required that’s where we get into the medical the medical responsibilities aspects and we get into more of the karmic sharing we’re really swapping scum he’s on an astral level at that point more so than if it’s an outercourse thing and you can’t go back once you know I don’t want to sound like a prepaid only sound like a six- future but but they were right about this mean you’re not wrong about everything they’ve had no sex for anybody ever. Is not the solution to people having sexually transmitted demons running rampant all over the place and it’s about making them your friends and making them work for you not against you and making them expose themselves properly and in you know where it’s not a pure realm we are not going to be perfectly protected in fear we can strive for that and we can use Kundalini and Prana and mantras and all of our medicines in purgatives and things to create a cleaner vessel to make more harmonious more resonance more signal-to-noise ratio and that is what to me this is all about and why we are missing out so badly to not be like I see this if God is wanted you got it for not created to nipples I can’t suck both nipples at the same time I tried some women I can do it on I’ve done it and you can do it some women is possible but for the most part so what does that mean what are you do do you limit God or do you just find someone else to be on the left or right side of you you know what is the big deal so when I think about this math equation how many erotic how many out of the box meaning not really the selective like subjective nuanced little erogenous zones that people get overtime in our lives but the out-of-the-box everybody is wired this way count how many erogenous zones you have and how what is the minimum number of mouse penis and genitals or fingers are human appendages required to simultaneously stimulate all those places it’s more than one person I can tell you that much you know so I just want us to start there and be creative in 2N to learn how to understand that we’re missing out and we should be wanting to gamify maximizing human potential for orgasmic pleasure because that is exorcism orgasm equals exorcism in some cultures who are Les Les Mis Sara Lee poetic about the floury discourse of symbols about sex life like a Latin American Shaman is said about her sexuality in the end in her how she explained why monogamous marriage was not really a thing in a culture that permitted extramarital sex and it was that in her mind and I am not going to say her name to cool her but I will say to paraphrase the essence of this wisdom is that to her mind it was just like an orgasm is like taking out the trash and that is not that’s not to say that it is mundane or a chore it is that it is a responsibility of hygiene in your household of your body Temple you need to have orgasms they need to be fulfilling need to get the job done and that is the exorcism aspect of it so the howling screeching all of these things that are considered that witches were burned forming figli sounds that those are the sounds of actual Holiness the set of holy the sound of Holiness is a woman’s orgasm and so let’s make those come more abundantly and let’s utilize map map the erogenous zones out of the box and then map the additional ones that are my favorite song and when you talk to me like this and this certain place I’m in the back of my head there whatever and then everyone has their own map so we can learn each other’s maps and if you don’t know your own map then you can ask people to help you there’s people who would love to lick and kiss and touch you and head to toe to find and explore you and and from a breasted state of consciousness D nice and yes I like to will you bring out the best in me that’s all I think that’s all you guys add that I can’t top that is the way to end so then really that was we didn’t even know that we put the icing on the motherfuking cake by saying you bring out the Best in Me so there was a documentary about at the peak of my desire to become a a rock star in the the crust Punk metal genre grindcore all that fun stuff I was studying that I wanted to understand and clock the music industry so I was watching every documentary I could find understanding music marketing and all the stuff and then I found this great documentary about about Jimi Hendrix and and I believe it was his fiance at a time who later became his wife if I remember correctly and she was talking about the time where he was building momentum and getting lots of gigs but still underground and she said something that stuck with me forever and if this moment which is it basically the hidden tension was used turn Express yeah we we all knew he was going to get sign or we all knew that you was going to take off he was going to blow up and so she said it was just about if someone puts put the icing on the motherfuking cake you know and I know and I felt that we we’re ready for that and we did some we had some we had some ice and get put on a motherfuking cake we did you get you always want more but I look back and I don’t think we could handle more so we got what we got and now I’m on a different I have a different cake I have a different cake mix and I don’t know if it’s that time I don’t know if it’s time to put the icing on the cake or not yeah I don’t know I mean the cake it’s getting cold she heard it mean if you’d if anyone has icing out there can it please be stevia-sweetened go Steven Johnson I don’t know how to hack them will work on that today I know it’s actually what I heard is that it’s a weird additive that they used to cut it because it’s so super sweet that you would basically died of sweetness if you didn’t like the step on it with some other things so I think that’s why I love growing Stevia and having a leaf to munch on and put in the tea because then you know is nothing else being put into it and it’s just as powerful you don’t really need to if you had the the live leaves one leaf enough will be enough to knock your head off for an hour so yeah I know on that snow yeah we’re going to put this devious fresh leave puree motherfuking icing on the cake I will put the icing on my own motherfuking cake that reminds me in 1 minute I just when I thought we couldn’t go out with a bigger bang this is going to be at because there was a a ritual ceremonial I called we called apart Independent Motherhood and Empowered Birth Work TPP179

Play

Laura Sermeno Pic

In this episode I’m humbled and blessed to be able to explore the raw realness of a wombyn of color struggling to navigate and resist patriarchy, white male privilege, and mono-normative love and relationship styles. My new heroine  sheds light on many of the shadows of injustice that she has faced and fought throughout her life and her journey as an independent mother.

She shares about the beauty and magnificence of her natural home birth and the incredible role her doula played in the process. She makes a call out for support of her efforts to study the birth working arts so that she can be of service and give back to the community.

She holds sacred space for me to open up about my ethnic impoverishment and we celebrate the enriched experience of culture that she has as a Mexican-American East Los Angelino.

About Laura:
Laura was born in East LA, raised in Sur El Monte –UCLA matriculated, educated by her people only, from the classrooms to the streets. She studied Xicanx Studies and Spanish at UCLA, and within undergraduate studies she began to unfold her art of poetry and went on to perform original pieces.

Professionally trained as a legal assistant, Laura took a break from capitalism beginning of 2017 to both create and nurture a newborn, born July of 2017, and felt completely underwhelmed with returning to life in an office. Having had a beautiful, calm and empowering home birth, she is now on the path to joining other mamas on the journey and educating them as a friend and a doula.

Com and our journey together will begin podcast episode number 179 I am being joined by at Laura cermeno and she is a sovereign independent mother who I recently have kind of bumps elbows with on social media and she like the kind of stuff I’m doing I like the kind of stuff she’s doing and just synchronistically around her run over recent posts you know I I got a sense of the purposeful mission of being an independent and Sovereign mother that she’s working on also to be a birth worker in to get sort of a community supported or our crowd Source funding of contributions so that she can step up in that role and being serviced in a good way and that is really impressive to me that’s those these are the kind of empowered women that I’m working to build the technical infrastructure in the financial infrastructure to support in in ways that allow for more freedom and and indignity really so that there’s just not this constant compromise and sort of pressure to find a man or a v hitch to a man or the family pressure of where is the this all the psychic external Authority from the toxic masculinity that that is just an economic privilege that shouldn’t really exist so I had them or the community comes in to support women you are doing this kind of work in my opinion the better the world is going to be the better it will be making the world a better place so I’m I’m putting my money where my mouth is I don’t know about anybody else but with that said that’s my soapbox speech for the moment and I will say Lord thank you so much for your kind of being a stranger to me but but being willing to come in until your story and share and hopefully we can get some some good promotion for you as well so please go ahead and tell us about how you’ve evolved awesome I just turned 26 my little Hometown is kind of bug predominantly Mexican neighborhood I grew up I am also from independent mom most of my memories of my childhood was just being with her though we know a stepfather just coming to play when I was about eight years old and still currently still in our lives but for the most part I did see myself as a child of a single mom or independent mom who is very strong and I’m really a lot different from her own background from basically a traditional Mexican home from from a Pueblo from a really small area and you still can’t just a carry on these very men Center traditions and some typical gender roles and very kind of backwards Catholic beliefs so I did grow up with with those beliefs and them at least it’s a tempting of Swing. Urinating me with those beliefs although I do consider myself is to be honest, I didn’t know what the word was but I did know that if things are unfair I wasn’t very interested in heaven as much as my family tried to teach me to cook and clean for Imaginary future partner that would have a pretty much rejected those things when I was around my extended family so my mom never protected those things onto me so I think that kind of help bringing sing both sides really I love you supposedly was your car is no my mom was a struggling mom she had wanted to drop most of the time and despite all those things I did Destiny have a harsh of bringing my mom was also flawed herself but I made it to UCLA wanted to study to become an environmental lawyer didn’t really know how to get around to that but ended up sending check on the city so you feel like although I did still have the tendency to want to go into the legal field which actually did end up going into and despite all that I’m an artist and a poet and a creative at that point in my life who did my baby’s father for years out of college be going out like I spent the day blush and all those things and I very much as interested in kind of The Next Step specialist inside after someone like me to kind of accomplish something like a dream from school like that I thought was pretty much bet I could you know do other things I guess and one of them was very much you know starting family so I’ll save you a lot of activism work at UCLA with an organization called occupy UCLA I was also part of the Bruins I’m going to spray quality there so when I was kind of a practicing their two sisters are there Mexican Oaxaca and they just talked about big mothers and so on one episode that they did speak about home birth and I want to listen in on that and they say they spoke to her mother her name is Lauren boy she still practices as a midwife in Los Angeles Pacific Lane Redondo Beach and she’s recently had moved back to Los Angeles from maybe around ten years of experience and work with communities in Oaxaca although she’s American she has good credentials to me because she was taught by my people if that makes sense so that made me feel like Asian is a language patient was a culture might be more than a lot of others who have just lost touch with their culture and so that definitely empowered me to continue on and I believe I did reach out to her before I even was pregnant so that I can make sure that you know I was able to lock her down because I figured you’d be pretty popular after that podcast so that’s why I landed speaking with her and she ended up being my Midwife who delivered my son I’m so mean I don’t know how to fast forward to now but the home birth was spectacular there was a point where I thought I’m not going to make it in the sense that I’m ready to go to the hospital maybe to make things easier but once my dual arrived I would say she was the most instrumental in getting me to finish with my goal of having a natural number is amazing so her name is Jenny solo it’s been a year and 4 months since my son was born for the first year I was full-time being a mom stay-at-home parent and the past 4 months have been attempting to become more independent been 4 months since I left my partner and I just had to revert back to the LegalShield because that’s what I had experienced in so I did not enjoy it anymore so that’s where we are today I’m just floored and humbled and I’m kind of in shock that I’m that I’m witnessing in myself hearing all of this in feeling like Sperry I’m just Gathering my thoughts right now because so much of what you said or are considerations and concerns that a lot of a lot of men don’t turn into when they’re just doing ball games and barbecues and video games and when I dropped out of that world a stint was very in my formative years in college was very much transform bye-bye feminist lovers who really put me in check and it made me think about and try to grow sensitivity to a lot of these issues till is it just a little bit just to kind of help if you will accompany you to kind of put my contacts in in this mix cuz it’s it feels like from from from one perspective this is really awkward because what is a what is a white dude know about any of this stuff unless unless you really cared and why would he even care and I do care because you know my I have you know since I’ve had I’ve been a victim of patriarchy and various ways that makes me very sensitive to other victims of patriarchy and the the healing the thesaurus cultural healing the the gender ceiling that needs to happen it’s is very near and dear to my heart is so it’s it’s kind of made me care and be concerned and actually want to I mean of all the superhero archetypes and all the vet like violet masculine heroic bulshit if there’s a way to be a hero that is not always sexy and not always is glamorous and not always has violin it’s really like how do you how do you get humbled by the stories and understand the need to flip the script and really start to take whatever privilege you have and put it where it’s needed the most and that’s kind of what you’re talking about that’s what I hear you know this is trying to to make it against so if you don’t mind Alaska this journey that you have taken I don’t want to I don’t want it to be gossipy or dramatic or anything or but feel free to go off if you want to but I am I am curious what and whatever way you want to express it that the breaking apart breaking up Breaking Free however you want to describe it what is that look like for you having can you walk us through kind of your the psychology of the happy-ever-after kind of Disney thing was that going on or where you you know I just just whatever you could say about how you how you discovered you had to come part ways and there’s a fork in the road it with the relationship and now you have I don’t know if you have child support coming in I don’t know if you have like what level of estrangement or or or sort of like a financial duress you might be in so we can get a sense of how best to support your super heroic efforts if you if I dare say basically I don’t think that we ever really were in the happily-ever-after although we were super connected by the idea of really like my miss both of us really wanted to start a family and we met during active this time it was funny how you see yourself as Waco White Privilege Connections in certain like moral things and kind of political things but our communication never built back up our trust never built back up I guess I reach some normalcy but I think what really set me off towards the end all the way I believe we’ve been breaking up for like a long time probably even during the pregnancy there was still like some issues just basically getting along then maybe just things that weren’t fulfilling and if she know we were to be honest with one another it was it lasted even longer than it than it had to but towards the end actually on my son’s first birthday party when are joined together mind being the bigger 35 + people his relatives came by we had just gotten the house you know he actually is a lawyer law field and so I was a stay-at-home mom at the point at that point trying to break free also it was like a great especially our son but things kind of devolved I can’t believe it really was his mom trying to start shit and you know wondering asking one of these people leaving you know in my home and instead of Nino I don’t know that being squash for like maybe my partner kind of getting a little bit better he felt like you know he needed to give his response or whatever because we’ve been celebrating him drinking for a while and you don’t even smoke was being funny and I believe literally every person was enjoying themselves operate on her problem not a problem that’s why I like sarcasm but you know my partner’s response was after I was nothing helpful I wouldn’t say I was being helpful but that’s right my response he decided to kick out my family and that was a breaking point for sure I believe I talked about breaking up that night will you continue to go to couples counseling which was something that we’ve already started alright believe he started much too late couple weeks past actually I will not go back the very next day my grandmother from my grandmother who wasn’t present at the party from My Father’s Side passed away from cirrhosis and you know I dealt with being embarrassed by my partner in front of my family and then you know another relative dying you know still trying to go to couples counseling and all that and really getting no type of support One account for themselves my grandmother’s Memorial came and I wanted to celebrate go out you got a babysitter so we can go baby dancing and relieve some stress my partner were not by being we’re not getting along with and despite you know me really being in need we did not seem to go on that Alsace you know decided to go for a drive alone and got donuts with a friend and came back or came back going towards my house now calling my partner again and ask them what his plans were and he said that he was going to go to a strip club instead of either spend time with me or do nothing really but he really needed to make a statement about you know me leaving him and saying that he wasn’t a pleasant person or support that that night so you know me leaving and be independent memes like I a deserved I guess for him to go ahead and go and do something as disrespectful as it was possible for him to do something like that and he did it so because I asked me and I also think this is going to be good for a relationship to it she responded what relationship and so I kind of like where’s my hand I would say there was definite self-sabotage there and it was all so liberating you know maybe in a way he know scapegoating him for his actions and me for you needing to leave but yeah that was a definite and it was just like indicative of like a huge problem that we already had had him something that I wanted to get away from him not showed it to normalize. To my son I mean I just yep that’s how that ended thank you so much for sharing that and there’s so much going on there and it’s honestly there’s a bear up there are a number of parallel situations that I’m somehow in the crossfire or in the middle Evan in some way or another where I get it and I will I’m starting to starting to get it starting to understand that that these fractures that happen in just the whole notion that we have of the nuclear family and that whole white American picket fence line two and a half kids and dog and a cat and two cars in the garage and in that hole Mystique it time it’s problematic for a lot of reasons and what you just feel like I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong right now by opening in holding the space for you to share this story in a way that will reach people all over the world who are going to have a vibratory emotional resonance with just the crisis here in because you you I’m sure you will write a book you will have your Memoirs whether you whether we’re kind of taking notes now and putting out a little bit of it now or if it comes out all later but this is some it’s it’s it’s a sadly tragic typical pattern and I feel like the the word that and I have this this it is I have this fantasy this utopian fantasy that we can somehow as an entire species returned to a dynamic where women are really super into into each other’s emotional needs and it in each other’s physical needs and in and even a Time sexual needs I’m not afraid to say it I will say that it’s not it’s not it’s not a big secret that lesbian lovers take care of each other longer and better than most straight male lovers and it’s just one one dimension here but but overall I’m just seeing that the the vulnerability and the susceptibility to these douchey patterns that can just be catastrophic if it’s just that I have been trained by my feminist friends and lovers who are female body and in that they’ve been taught me that it’s like so many women are trapped in in these fucked-up Dynamics with men because they don’t have solidarity and Sisterhood amongst each other to the point where where men are just think if they come and go it doesn’t even fucking matter because they don’t have any property rights they don’t have you know your bank account password they don’t have there’s not at this whole mythology around you know my you need to view need to impress my family and my family needs to get babies from you to put their name on so that we can give her so I mean whatever the race I mean dinosaurs say whatever but but that’s not even getting started with the racial politics of course just the patriarchal patrilineal you know we named We pre-stamped the mail the mail server name on the children and we we want to control the sexuality of all of all females because they’re either going to be cranking out babies that we don’t own or they’re going to be cheating on are you know prodigal son you know we don’t want the Princess Luna with a princess running off with the family jewels in shacking up and falling in love with some poor man if some other race or something and then there’s so many that are going on I don’t know if any I’m just kind of going off because these are the bigger patterns in a bigger size but like what you talk what you’re saying like this is very well I just want to say I guess in a in a supportive way as best I can that what you just described about your particular Journey with these macro Dynamics is I just want to applaud you for for you know stepping up and taking a stand and taking a risk in and going out on a limb for your own dignity and sovereignty and I hope that the dudes in the doghouse and he’s going to try to like not are you know I’m not going to be projecting my my couples counseling services on TV right now I don’t know what is the destiny is that I was supposed to have them but certainly some growth and learning on on his part and I hope that his heart is open to that and I will say you know if you ever hears this if you ever meet Smith at like you know he can spit in my face but I will still give him a hug because we can go and have her men’s group or whatever to bring it back to the world again just I applied you I’m I’m seeing a bestseller here already so take good notes and and when I will just put best best wishes after he comes you know falls into the 2 to the matriarchy and in whatever way you’ll make sense but from this point of what you shared now I’m wondering so the the leap of faith into Independence and being single and what is that look like for you financially and legally and an emotionally didn’t like what have you kind of designed for yourself is the strategy to move forward without move forward with a cup with a new paradigm for yourself of what community is going to be like and what a family is going to be like in maybe yeah I mean I can only imagine I have a few other folks I said who are in similar circumstances that that I hear from a lot but it sounds like you know you stepped up and said hey hook it up I’m doing something good I’m going to take care of everybody’s going to be cuz you remove by that so so definitely luckily for now I’m not going through any court system to try to get any reciprocation from baby’s father he’s pretty open pretty good he is providing child support although we have some reason talks about cutting back on that at my like probably most vulnerable time right now so when things aren’t perfect but I enjoy you know the 50/50 split that we do have I think that’s healthy for my son that’s healthy for me to have some much-needed time to recoup and kind of like clean up my space and have me time luckily I found a place leasing out of 4 bedroom house with some friends some really good like-minded friends that I am having you know that Community with and that’s 5 minutes from the daycare by mention the baby father not my favorite place but you know I’m glad that it’s going to work out that way I’ll east of the Prime Meridian Community me and my partner are going to have to be in a family no matter what here and physical demands are so far not really though you know I would definitely recommend for those who do have those issues like you need to go to court my cell phone for that system but particularly what’s going on meeting child support is crucial to start as soon as you can. I’m I’m kind of make sure that things are fair you know things can be fingernail that clear you don’t know people’s Financial anything until you really get them down in a way not the same situation for everyone but luckily I’m having luck with that I never had my own place you don’t like my own place but you know I’m on the lease or where me and responsibility is a double edged sword but being cool with that and being able to do it even just excited about that I definitely am now the opinion that monogamy doesn’t work I’m opening you know myself up and I’m starting to date a little bit but for the most part I want to maintain like not a typical kind of unhealthy ways where you know because you decided to like someone now they have a say in your top of me and things like that I don’t I don’t Vibe with that and I’m just trying to meet people were kind of the same way as far as Community I mean like food sharing meeting other mothers connecting online especially now since I’m one reason Kratom has probably for myself and I do see myself hanging out with my friends and kind of wanting that energy around my son as well so for now it’s it’s that way I don’t I don’t I don’t leave men out are you not going to go the same type of again yeah that’s what I am well I’m glad to hear it pretty much all of that that’s it could be so much worse and probably not that that much better and some of the stuff I’m actually hearing it’s it’s there is it’s it’s funny because or I should say it’s funny but I’ll say that the tragic comedy is that a lot of what what a conventional or conservative certainly white bread kind of patriarchal mortified to hear most of what you’re saying cuz it would just be the end of the American dream and to me it’s like the end of the American Nightmare so I’m actually happy to hear that I honestly believe everyone can find most likely find a little something a little bit better for them scary part is leaving I guess well that’s a deep study and and I think about that Austin and I I’m just trying to build up the most elegant toolkit of intellectual and emotional resources to help people kind of feel supported in these kind of decisions one of the things that I found was a great resources there’s a polyamory weekly podcast and I don’t know it’s been awhile since I’ve been away from them but they were gone for quite a while and they interview the woman who called herself a relationship Anarchy and non-hierarchical relationship Anarchist which was and she just broke it down so hard core in and that cuz you could be relationship anarchists and be rebelling against a store Terry and lovers of course but but she was even taking it to a level of like I’m not going to have a primary partner does not going to be a sort of you know a favoritism kind of dimension of a hierarchy at the way that you get with people who do the primary partner thing which I’m not saying it’s good or bad but I’m just saying wow this is the potential is Limitless for how free you can actually be used at the Quizlet see citizen in that system essential and and so so yeah I feel like a lot of the toxic Behavior happens in this sort of void or vacuum where couples are in this secret hell realm called privacy where people shut their doors and close your blinds and they don’t want they feel like it’s inappropriate for them to to kind of do like a sit-in strike and say no until you all resolve this issue I’m not going to go to work I’m not going to leave the room I’m not going to give you your privacy to tear each other apart I’m going to ask you present and and so call me utopian call me an idealist but I feel like that Sisterhood and Brotherhood and everything in between hood is all good in the more the merrier to have people holding each other socially accountable for for misconduct and for just micro micro oppression and abuse and everything so yeah glad to hear that you’re are more Collective household and I certainly can commiserate with the that next leveling of responsibility to be to be on the lease because then you actually have to be kind of like a a job site manager 2 or something you have to take on these others wish that we would just like it was just the land and the people that children got my anything–but so so yeah now that we didn’t answer we’ve kind of mentioned a couple times the campaign that you’re doing so now will probably be a great time to give you full space to just talk about what you’re hoping to get from what the support you’re looking to to access from from those who can shave off a bit of their of their means to help you get something blue strapless with your all about it jobs Aliso maybe a little bit over a week now I was terminated from pretty terrible workplace I’m I’m pretty blessed I’m leaving and you know now just thinking about the perfect opportunity to try to switch to something more meaningful more creative less to do with the government and substantiating pretty must have systems I don’t actually mamaw really believe in so and I did I I mean I’ve been kind of thinking about some sort of spiritual work with other spiritual guides in other folks and they’ve always going to tell me you know you have this play healing thing like soda spiritual work and what they were doing I mean psychic reading room but then I was like I don’t think so you know so yeah for the most part and I’ve always been a writer. I also staying so try to do those things you know somebody is coming not much but and then just speaking to my Doula I also met with her and she kind of walk me through the process and I looked up some specific trainings that I really thought would really help some of them are for certification someone is not although certification I hear this not also not required I feel like you know parents definitely wanted to have some sort of certification so why not I’m so yeah for now I mean the main when I like the workshop that I like is not a certification one but it has so much it’s called sumi’s touch it’s a workshop at his family’s touch it still see only do it raining Crown cost $750 and all of the resources are online so I mean you study but he get the resources online so I should be able to you know keypad and potential clients another big part of the training is actually going in on where it’s which you know middle Midwest most likely kind of mitigate that you know there can’t be like 10 people on the room besides you know family members or whatever so you know it has to be kind of specific and you know birth work to do with all of this and so I shared that those costs for apprenticeships just for one birth of roughly 500 each so you know that they’ll send me back a little right now so she right now because if not I’m still trying to get email part-time job to maintain education and kind of community work that’s what that’s why I have approximate around $6,000 like kind of a beginning him out but I think you know once I get into it’ll be a lot more feasible you know no longer asking the community but if not you know give I want to give give my work to two families I would completely need to know a free Doula like that’s my gift back after I completed some training and yeah I do want both birth Doula and postpartum doula certification so that I could help free during birth and then postpartum healing looks pretty much my spiel about the GoFundMe I pray that you get all of the abundance that is coming to you and I really appreciate the way your structuring the the perks you know to be able to be in service in and it’s really like a Pay It Forward kind of thing of people can help you out they will know that they have you to have their backs and I’ve known a couple of doulas in my life and certainly known women who have worked in the women’s sexual health field in the reproductive Health shield and pardon my French but a lot of what what they’ve been up against is a real shitshow and I just watch and watch the the mainstream institutions just chew them up and spit them out in the pharmaceutical corruption and just there’s so much real evil going on once you get into that medicalized anything. I am so we don’t know most of us what we don’t know about what we’re missing out on about home birth and having really wise which is an herbalist and and Medicine women who have dedicated themselves to these pads and if you want to talk about taking a power back from patriarchy this is such a one of the deepest wounds are one of the most I guess I would say for my perspective which is a really I really twisted for most of intervention from the the way that they put you in the stirrups to the others are so many things that I think it was just a total medieval torture horse or something else so can you teach for the people listening and I don’t know if you will get you know a ton of support just you know from from the audience I’ll try to get this out as soon as possible but I’m certainly going to put in what I can to help you move forward with your goals but I would like to just have you just kind of share with us for the record kind of what what is the what Define a doula and independent provide more of a definition and and talk about really how how relevant is that we have a doula on every block or whatever is the goal you know what I mean I really like its etymology like it means a woman of service or something like that would she really really wrong with that but you know obviously in the picture I get at 11 and someone wants to be there for you and not not just a service but more like emotional like support I believe that’s one of the most beautiful things, I didn’t think about needing a doula until it was probably 6 months into my pregnancy and you know what the things are and who could help me in the prices in time became very anxious do you know why but I just realized maybe because of my issues with my ex and I needed a more emotionally attentive person that just knew it wasn’t was going on and I will you not shave my ex still he was very much present and helpful I’m I did too heavily rely on just my Doula process so because she is entrenched in me a Mexican traditional practices of Reno labor and then she’ll sit does placenta encapsulation and she does feeling ceremonies at the end which are traditional Tim and Janice Mexican communities because they’re in the traditional to some indigenous communities definitely she’s very in touch with those types of things and for the most part I believe it was mainly her touch some of her words that are touched during spring surgeons contractions that kind of made them my mind go away station was about like 50% reduced and just having that constantly every now every 5 3 2 5 minutes like that touch that reassurance it was brief but it was powerful and I wasn’t seeking anyone else out other than her and I don’t think that if she was not present but I would have done you know the full natural hunger I don’t know if the goal is to have one on every block but at least four people to know what I do want is what to do what does do those are not the ones license to help bring out the baby anything medical although they do Monitor 40 days postpartum ceremony maybe their knowledge is that are carried out through very many generations through a special spiritual people spiritual healers family-to-family it’s not about a social-media thing although it is becoming one I am particularly wanted that because I don’t believe in science is not created by women about women I don’t think more people can know about our bodies than ourselves and our intuition far beyond what the cerebal can tell us far beyond what we can read about in nail science textbooks or something like that especially her mother is healthy with no complications. Things will be fine you know that science of fear is stronger than the actual evidence based science dualism cells can produce for you regarding you know labor and delivery just in the home so that’s why I want to do what I want to do awesome I feel the warmth in my heart. Nice and kind of my mind playing out to the cinematography of of what you’re talking about and if you are you good to go at 5. This is been a fast almost hours are you good to go a little further or something that is because you mentioned social media it’s it’s kind of I guess ties in with this kind of fun well I will see the you’re also talking about science and technology and and how might how feminism has inform my attitudes towards technology and whatnot so just kind of say briefly that I I think there’s a lot of Now new space for ethical hackers of all colored hats to look at the the big data conglomerates and monopolies that are sucking our private information out into the corrupt backdoor deals and just makes Orwell look like Bambi or something you know it’s like it’s worse it’s worse than I ever imagined it’s more Insidious and more Twisted in in sadistic never imagining and yet it also this whole moment we’re in with with some the internet with social media I’m I’m old enough to know what it was like to have to read a book or go out and socialize to not be bored a lot has changed I see this blessing and a curse and then obviously the curse of aspects are pretty obvious certainly anybody listen to this anybody is addicted to refreshing a need an app for anyting guilty of certain degrees of that we can if we have a hack your mindset to this situation than we can we can use a little bit of digital Alchemy in in in figure out how to make these systems work in in the benefit of the people in the benefit of people of color in the benefit of the oppressed of all varieties in and really it’s it’s the potential I think to reclaim and redefine Beauty on a lot of levels so something that you were very I would say there is a bold and beautiful about is the you or I seen your Instagram and you’re doing herbal baths with your child you know you’ve you’re doing breastfeeding you were flying your stretch marks and I believe there is a lot of room and a lot of potential to reclaim the the beauty of mothers and Andrea Lee break the beauty myth molding and smash the patriarchy in that sense so I’m just curious if it’s not out of my you know appropriate balance to to open these topics if you want to talk about how you how you want to or how you were thinking about and strategizing about kind of re beautifying motherhood in in the whole kind of plastic Barbie Perfection kind of thing I feel like my probably never fit the mold and you know what Barbie stuff that’s hot issues with my image and and what I want to see I guess then in a pregnancy in a major key for while I from Los Angeles I feel like I was especially at that point because I had been breastfeeding and things have been going so well and I was producing a lot of milk is losing a lot of calories I feel like I was like my body what did have a hard time with it actually was a stretch marks because they’re so dark for so long and maybe they’ve been fighting this year but at the end of the day because I’ve been mice like who I am who I hopefully have portrayed myself to be it myself you know throughout this talk I like what’s in the mirror like I can’t deny a picture for the most part those images they came about kind of want to win all those thousands upon thousands of pictures of other pictures are affected my culture I’m not just my culture it was actually an article about Latinos and changing the United States predominately do think Mexican and not the problem itself my Mexican culture I mean how could I let you know how can I kind of like I wasn’t cheerleading I wasn’t picky I was just listening to kind of like creative directors and and also one of them being my Village any Silva. Imo’s pictures I couldn’t deny that for myself a friend of mine. For my son and you know it at the time I’m pretty sure I was very self-conscious but I’ve ever gotten of me and my son and regardless I don’t think that you can even think about Barbie that have skated my son and there’s no way that you can deny that kind of love what I write in my diary and actually feel about myself sometimes I mean everyone has those monsters and it’s not it’s settled in the other thing is like I’m making him a photo with my son and it’s not sexual at all and so those types of conversations we were blessed and that my picture came to fruition through National Geographic so they actually were able to okay that photo and have it in place of the name of an article which I particularly make sense with the rest of the words in the article so captivating in a way it captures kind of like innocence in like kind of like giving like specially because yeah that’s what it that’s what the whole process is giving your body an alarm for a time and then all the time after that where you’re breastfeeding you’re also very much giving your body and your energy but yeah I’m super lucky that my Doula Jenny silver had previously worked with a National Geographic photographer and they were interested in cultivating raised images for a specific article about kind of power which was reshaped to talk about Trump’s America basically I’m so yeah I mean it away my photo resurface there and it is in the magazine July 2017 you’re after my son was born so that was pretty powerful yeah that’s pretty much a part of me wishes that you would just keep talking forever so I don’t have to help myself for like being choked up with tears right now and we like that yeah this is this is really powerful and I said I want to be too Starstruck that that you’re a Nat Geo and Neji was so near and dear to my heart I feel like doing the Wayne’s World I’m not worthy thing is that just a little bit more about my do love if you know like something with her in there because Stephanie like know that power and you know all that staging and ran to actual herbal bath like those images and like that sacredness of hours but you know that’s something from her and I think that comes out of the picture yeah I like I always the picture like National Geographic a lot of like animals but just being in touch with all types of Nature and like you know that type of stuff like being in arima super powerful and I think that again it’s like a lost tradition in my car trying to reclaim that now. It’s been around you know these things are not scary but just letting you know we have more power right on well I will say I have it is not been challenging for me to be. Don’t take this the wrong way or anything but I would say there is a man in this world I’ve always felt like it was not a chore but else but a privilege to a good refers to be meditating on the the beauty of stretch marks and just feeling the texture and not is a sort of like oh oh pity party you know you don’t get to be in Miss Universe it now or whatever it’s like such a bullshit but it’s a Well there should be a Miss Universe for for that and if you actually cared you know you would appreciate that so I feel like that if you haven’t anyone listening if you haven’t worshipped stretch mark belly before then you’re missing out the music sits it’s a mystery and something to to meditate on in into yeah it’s 11 so I appreciate that and I guess maybe your last sort of from save me hear them thinking of would just be 2 maybe I’m kind of a this is this is a big kind of klusterfuk of questions I guess you could say that I that I have I’m a white man to grow up in the Northwest and one of the whitest states in the union and I was always drawn to the Mystique of LA to all of the Hollywood movies that I watched his latchkey kid and all that stuff and now I’ve been down here for almost maybe more than 15 years trying to just connecting and you know you’re going to laugh but it’s like things like I really connected as a young child with movies like La Bamba and later got into Blood In Blood Out which is also made by the same the same dude who was who is his kind of enamored with being I don’t I wouldn’t forget to send him but I’d say certainly my case that has he said he grew up grew up around and experienced a lot of Latino culture for me there were bits and pieces growing up but but just being a fight dude totally disgusted with the emptiness of my own non-kosher at 8 just felt like I want to just be the ugly ducking duckling and check up to whatever other intact kind of familial or sort of tribal structure as I can find so I’m kind of like a Joy’s the the parties and I’ve always kind of like exactly I haven’t tried to Vienna. The Mexican because I’m in LA and I’ve Had My Moments in there to see if you would know that I just that there’s been some funny like West Side Story type moments and funny like that is pretty funny but it it it it does speak to this bigger kind of picture thing what I want to say about it being the klusterfuk of a question is like to bring it back for you is like you know I see indigeny small and sort of thumb Anarchy feminism in just at the tour to Mexico with punk bands and I’ve gotten to really for myself see the the this just the fact that 49 1492 is every day somewhere in the world and there’s places where that that that Battlefield this is like the battlefield of indigenous language is dying against Spanish to English in seeing punk bands play punk in steampunk in and totally indigenous tongue that may or may not be fully documented by anthropologists but it’s a the and also the fact that like a lot of the Latin American punk rock seems that I got to experience were not everybody was all pumped out a lot of people were just like regular working class citizens and they were all participating in that because it was like the a way to celebrate I got more of that more deeply connected fabric of culture and what not but I guess you know what I worried where this is going and I appreciate you being very with me versus myself I feel like I could ask you this question and I can’t I can’t always ask people this question cuz it’s too controversial into explosive you know but the question really is you know how do you in your you’ve broken free from a lot of the shackles of thinking that Catholicism in patriarchy and the state and and all these other institutions that that try to turn indigenous people against their own skin color against their own Traditions you know you were fighting that fight right now and I just I’m curious what you would say and what your thoughts are what you would share for the the occupied and the occupiers the colonized in the colonizers wherever you might be in the world like what what is what words would you have to say for to empower people to break free from these religious controls and spiritual and sexual all that stuff and so I don’t know you know what comes to mind but how can people be of service that are not you know my condition is some people who are indigenous how can they kind of stand up and break free and not sell out and whatever you know conform or whatever that is definitely a huge question I don’t consider myself like any kind of Representatives regardless of my identity. You know like like similar to you I think I don’t necessarily write people off because they’re white although have a lot of comrades and friends I do but I do think that there’s be home folks or not a business that you know there’s a void there’s there’s a feeling there’s a there’s a reason why we’re all kind of going through a shift and realizing like this is not a certain different types of things for ourselves and having kind of like technological kind of looks like talking but not enough kind of like doorways to like get through to like the type of world that we will be one of those kind of far out two different things I mean it sucks but now the main way you can contribute to the world you want to live in right now is funds his fundraising is bleeding charity work but more like you know who needs to be uplifted that’s maybe you know if you can think about it the current structure for the current capitalistic structure are not valued in the same monetary way but they’re doing more for the community and the types of work and the type of world that you want to live in in the future like that type of stuff right so like less kind of thing people eyes like a disadvantage or whatever it’s more like kind of like Goods what can you give when then what can you what can you go back to people who have donated to me just like that other people who again or more just that I want to see what’s up to so you know like you know anyone that’s looking for a doula you know how I am in that position where I think I do need to attend for free things like that so for people who are indigenous of course just again where the mouth speaking to people speaking to people about birth rethinking births or I’ll be home for a worm anything that deviant from you you know but not necessarily kind of like reinforcing those structures on each other that type of thing but that judgment what became an entrepreneur for yourself so you know it’s just being you not being imaginative enough and you may be wanting that for yourself in your life right like that’s why people come out here with negativity or or should I just be mindful of your energy where you place it in and why you’re giving off something that’s not super ideal my world’s just blind optimism but you know I think we definitely need more optimism and I am definitely like a punk I really like happy Punk right now from a world where you know I’m from the same world as y’all but I definitely think for the revolution what I want to bring is this breath work and what I want to bring is more positivity and it has to be blind sometimes why not you know we just need that when you believe in God but definitely line ourselves up to receive those changes by way of saying all the the mess ups we have in our own brain like deconstructing kind of like the actually try to make a difference I think that’s pretty much it is to you for decolonizing your bedroom and decona is in your mind and decide to colonizing these dimensions of bed sometimes overlooked and I appreciate everything you have been saying in will be taking good notes in and I can also commiserate about punk rock and I’ll say that I like I said happy Punk I’ve actually kind of put the thought experiment out there what if what if in some bizarre sci-fi future the punk the punk rock an Arco Punk Revolution actually succeeds and we are living in tribal Neo tribal Utopia and there’s nothing to complain about what kind of music are we going to read me and are we going to be playing these like death metal Melodies about Doom and Gloom or we going to be free country weaving the musical fabric that used to be just ceremonial songs and and ways to get through seasons and get through life cycles and things so so I’m I’m there with you and I if I am looking forward to hearing the chi music that you hopefully will create an account of lyrics and poetry that you were right and hopefully that will be part of that transition towards post-apocalyptic Punk kind of phone oh yeah well. Cool will definitely have more time again I think will be great to have you back to even come in and talk about some of the as you do your trainings and as you have more experience has to come in and share and just get more people kind of Switched on and activated around in this and amazing well thank you so much for your platform I appreciate it so much more than you know but I definitely would love to come and reconnect it somewhere cool so I guess I would say that I just want to help put in my final words and then leave it open to you to say whatever you like to close out with and certainly will put a link to your campaign in the show notes and anything else you like to have shared their yeah and so I would say it’s interesting residents that I have with with your story and that I actually I went to the University of Oregon and that was where is it premieres environmental law conference happen every year and it was just an orgy of environmental lawyers and I got to expose to all of these campaigns in all of these struggles and all of this super high level but it was great cuz it was like you had all these super Elite privileged white intellectual academic Scholars and then they were using the budget of the university in this this this conference annual conference to to bring in indigenous environmental Warriors from all over the world to tell me the story so you know that was it a very beautiful thing and I feel like something that is the I want to see a buzzword but like a key term from from that world is well everything is is our environment and the environmental justice in this order from the cultural ecological issues that you’re talking about it’s like yeah you talking about the legality around the environment of the womb and how they how to clean clean that up so I feel like you were definitely I mean I can see the the parallels there and in whatever dimension environmental law Shield work you want to explore I’m sure that the the grant funding and the interns and that you no tapping into all of those those hungry Minds in the people that want to study things and you know you just have to spend it right and you can have a PhD thesis if I can see it so you review right yeah but now I I just actually study that I actually did research on mental racism in low-income communities I’m in certain communities but I think my closing thoughts for sure are just that Albert’s that’s the beginning of our culture and if we are experiencing experiencing or like that I meant to me if you know I’ve been through this process and make sense to me but if you think about it you know I think about it logically and all the beginning of society begins with Creative Kids of this cage think of work like this is like the first step for a new Society right like and even in your own interpersonal lives where can we drive power and how come we Empower women to have empowered birth and not just you know that one day but you know checking in having Community being accountable to them you know I’m kind of Usher as Elders that experience them but also have some advice for independent mother and said I would say and I’ll start with self-care is your number one goal that’s super difficult and over myself a camera that usually ask for my son because I know I could feel depleted if I wasn’t so caring I definitely was a different kind of mom and that’s something I didn’t want to pass on I would say start creating that works around you find other end of town mothers like you share resources like food would sharing and child caring if that’s feasible of my ruin us to Burnt out from work for when you need it I said I would say don’t have too much of a pride issue personally but when you ask for help then people will know that you need it and regardless of of that Party Factory think that because we have a little little people to attend to you know it doesn’t really have a place all the time when numbers are my final words alright well thank you so much I’m looking forward to next steps and we will talk more about the survival women project soon and and hopefully that can be another another connection point two more networking and more resources to help you move all this stuff for so thank you for being being willing to come on the show and hopefully a lot of people will get a lot from this and I really do want to bring it all the way back down to the thirst with a lot of the stuff and I appreciate that so yeah I have a wonderful rest of your evening and we will be in touch very soon thank you for Robert Domondon Pic

In this podcast I’m joined by the highly esteemed and accomplished photographer and artistic image creator Robert Domondon. I discovered his breath-taking work on Instagram and feel that he is producing some of the most honorable and lovable imagery of women who are expressing their inner goddess. We learn all about the very intentional and sacred manner and methodology that he’s developed. He shares deep and profound insights about his business practices and artistic vision that can be applied to any profession and lifestyle. It was truly a gift to connect with him in this way and I’m hoping we’ll be collaborating some day.

About Robert:

Robert Elvin Domondon is a visual artist on stories of women’s empowerment, positive body image, and the divine feminine themes. He does photography and video on Boudoir, Fine Art Nudes, Dance, and Goddess Portraits. He is a retired physician from Asia, and does ICU Nursing a few nights a week. A healer of more than 30 years. He loves hiking, he is a practitioner of meditation and Tantric touch. His name means “brightly famous for being a noble friend.” He lives in San Francisco, CA.

Artist Statement:

“I believe that imagery is powerful….
and that honoring our bodies, emotions, choices & feelingsthrough photography— whether in front of or behind the camera —is sublimely empowering.

“I’m on a mission to empower every woman to take care and adore their bodies, reclaim their femininity, and inspire an inner beauty that lasts.

“I start each photoshoot with a prayer: I declare my intentions to the universe that we produce imagery that will inspire women to find their inner goddess and dancer. May it be so.

“I seek that each encounter be transformative and life-healing. To Live Lovelier Longer

  • the need to educate your client
  • he advises clients with a brand to protect, and who are in the public eye to form a focus group of 3 people, not their friends but 3 people that represent their target market, get three reps and let them look at your pictures, ask them which ones appeal to them how alot of performers/celebrities pick pictures that don’t relate or connect with their audience, how you have to let them choose the ones the audience will chose are often more authentic, not the photoshop, contrived pictures
  • how he’s thrown out his ideals of what beauty is, he lets his audience show him

  • there should be a balance of what brings food on your table and a roof over head, and also what feeds your soul
  • he had to create the market, he recommends creating the market that you would like to thrive in
  • if you have that opportunity, than create that market, if you build something that connects to people, they will come to you from all over the world
  • count the costs and prepare for sacrifices
  • he’s confident that once you walk your path, there will be angels that will open doors, because you will have connected with something greater than yourself as an artist
  • how most artists don’t talk about the money, they talk about the flow, if there’s a good flow, the money will come
  • so find that stream where you will thrive, that will nourish you
  • find that group of people that you can serve
  • we go to school in order to make a living, but they never taught us how to live
  • you have to find out to live as an artist

Com and our journey together will begin its welcome to Township on podcast episode number 169 I’m being joined by Robert diamond dan and he is an artist image Creator who I discovered through Instagram and that he has done some of the most amazing empowering photo photography and art work with numerous beautiful lowercase G embodiments of the divine feminine goddess and it is always music to my eyes at to see this sort of exaltation of the divine feminine in the Earthly forms and so whenever I see it at a different take note and so I’ve been following his work and and synchronistically for me I’m really at a point where I want to build more alliances and connections and network with folks who are really mastering the art of using cameras for capturing the beauty of nature the beauty of the human body and and Beyond so with that said I’d like to just ask Robert if you could tell us a bit about your the services you provide your kind of background and definitely love to get the story of what brought you into the loving light of the goddess and how you discovered the the joy of service and in various Ways by the way it’s my privilege thank you for having me so I am an image Creator I to photography but I don’t use the camera to document I use it as a means to bring out the inner ideas of women at our individual female empowerment healing positive self-image Beauty sacred sexuality dancers fashion people are people who would love to portray themselves as goddesses on me yeah that is so exciting and lovely and beautiful we need so many more people like you in the world and hopefully you will be one of many as soon as more people embrace your philosophies in in these regards so if you don’t mind could you tell a silly so if I could ask her as far as going back into your personal life history can you tell us what kind of how you evolved into becoming an image artist image Creator see from your website you have a past is a physician so you have an appreciation for the form of the body and just yeah please tell us as much as you like about your your journey since we’re talking about goddesses or treat women as equals or or put them in a highlight beautiful gifts or wonderful gifts that they have I believe that it could be a much better world and also we need to support our the female the family and we can be also as males whole as well and I’ll be home as well so I believe that imagery or images are powerful and honoring our bodies emotions choices and feelings through photography weather in front of or behind the camera I believe that sits sublimely empowering so I’m using that as soon as my medium do provide my service to the community I started as don’t start when I was young my my dad bought me a small camera and he used to have the American photographer magazine lying around and so that’s what got me into it and and and what got me into the goddess thing is I don’t know what you think when you think of a goddess so well for me I think my mother when you think about goddess you think about bet love motherhood fertility and and also if they’ve been associated in mythology with Todd flake War creation and death so all that is what a goddess is interesting and be right about that and so I what got got me into this female honoring God is that I saw my mother you know rice Bob she was started eating out she she had problems serious problems with with my dad. Last day no so she was a single mother taking of us three kids and no problems of finance and I’m even at one point she got cancer but she writes about that all that and she’s a Survivor and that’s what I think a goddess you need is someone who rises above and shows their inner beauty and love their inner qualities do all so anyone can get goddess so that’s that’s where all this is coming from so it’s so beautiful actually I’ve got I’ve done tearing up right now and I’m smiling and tearing up because I just sit so it’s so beautiful to hear that I reference and yeah so going back yuno I feel most of my clients have you seen my Instagram or social feeds that usually there. They’re the performers in the public eye who come to me to provide them with a good portfolio that’s cuz all my lines yeah I love my philosophy and but most of my clients are not models their soccer moms they’re professionals curvy gals over 50 + women cancer survivors like my mom women always wanted to but thought they’d never good and those are my real flying yeah that is really fascinating and I am discovering that more yet reading website here and this is very much again in alignment with them with a lot of my values in the values of this the audience that I’m aware of it sits that we really want to smash the beauty myth and really bring something something hole in holistic into our perception of her beauty and then there’s a lot of people who are fighting even porn addiction and really lost a lot of young men last kind of mutilated form of arrows that’s the abusive imagery so do you want to talk about in from your perspective what it’s like to have this Consciousness and have this Mission and how do you navigate the the industry that the standard and some just curious if you have to kind of put on a a warrior to get through the profession in the industry or if you’re able to just sort of dance through it and just sort of Nino brighten the vibe with your instructions and go you can go different ways you know my industry is is the same way as the sacred feminine or woman goes out and they’re basically for kind so what would I find at in the world and I I use their power to navigate this industry one is the innocent Maiden The Virgin so I go out at 8% in a sentence and a sort of childlike look naturally inquisitive and then there’s the mother the mother type in other words the nurturing I see men hurricane I see women hurting and I take them on and I address their pain first and then we express your pain treatment tree and I see the warrior the enchantress Warrior are the ones who are out in the Battlefront out in the battlefield or just their just power from them and then there’s the wise old woman and they give not only because you may have information you may have date that you may have all this attention from to be but if you don’t have wisdom and how to apply this then it’ll be all for naught so that’s so I value with them and that’s what I find also in some of the swim and and that’s also how I navigate to this industry of objectifying women of corn hand on chest you know going after the lower parts of our existence lower parts of our levels of operating and so I tried to show them that there’s a better way of course there are from either issues let’s take a 4-1 for some of the men nudity is for some it’s a it’s a it’s an expression of Freedom so I I respect both and I try to respect also balls with my with my audience as well so but that’s a fine line I always have to I always have to walk yeah well that is SF Trails been seriously is there such a powerful education in in goddess archetypes in It Is Well with what you were sharing about 2 and then drawing the energy and I’m seeing this very powerful mutually reinforcing and affirming energetic flow that sits like a spiral you know it is yeah yeah yeah if you’re so this is not the words I would you come to me I would shoot you in a different way in a certain way and it would be Mike according to my bread nowadays I threw for the past 2 years the reason why I passed explode it’s because I threw that all the way this time I try to learn more of the person’s Choice Skinner struggles in your pains what have they been gone through and what did they find beautiful what side of them is beautiful and then once I know that that’s what I bring up for and and III realizes that they will use their. That photograph def image for something he was there all the time as their profile pic or after the bring it up once in a while is because they’d be filled connected to it and so yeah so my my my box of the Spiral is that Michael is my challenge time as an artist how can I open the throat so that inspiration can just flow my job is to remove the obstacles and just let it flow and see where it goes. That’s as long as I have my own values that I told you to yeah well so this it sounds like you actually create a very palpable experience of being in the healing sacred container of Consciousness that is about consent and about co-creative and collaborative art and so much communication and so the art of really the Lost Art of men helping women feel safe and sexy and empowered and free at the same time this is so it’s it’s a guy to last and suppress art so what I’d love to know if you have feedback from just the kind of container that you’re creating and that the before-and-after energetically when when a woman has is the ability to be put to a goddess worship Puja of sorts if you will have three of the time I have a you know before they before they come I try to know a lot about them first and then as soon before I click the first shot I have this I create the container saying I tell them what my intentions are I declare my intentions to them and the universe and I and that is my so-called prayer and that is my the meditative operate injury I shoot so usually gets that I used to say I declare my intentions to create imagery that will inspire women to find your inner goddess and rudest images find their true selves the true beauty and this is my attention with that simple thing. Creates a duck. Already unravels a lot of the of the things that comes in to shoot so and so are our interaction now is like a worship of worship of you know a what we can celebrate through our hands together in that tree in that in that moment so so that’s how I open up I like create the shoot for each person that is absolutely Priceless and so so comforting to know and it’s did you put that effort in that sincerity in that virtue and value into it I can tell you yet from experience that that is a gourmet restaurant five star hotel watch beyond University dollar compared to what can be hoes just put it on the negative spectrum of experiences since you can you can with the best intentions it can be a nightmare so I appreciate that you do that in and yes you don’t mind to talk a bit about some of the the technical aspects of the sort of them yeah yeah more more more material aspects I’m very interested now and trying to understand what how you speak about your love of light and Shadow and color and just all of that sort of artsy stuff that that is behind the scenes of behind-the-scenes unit from your phrase the light in the dark shadows yeah so every woman’s experience is different ways in different contexts different settings and it’s not always like it’s sometimes most of the time it has something to do with Darkness or Shadow so you’re not the worst they’re dealing with something they’re struggling with something they’re fine and most importantly you’re trying to find the beauty in it of it all other friends trying to find the meaning and a lot of discussion on that note I I tried to ask ask them what the where they see themselves five years from now so I have an acute or a water westers drug before I ask them what’s your struggle what are you struggling with that’s one of the last questions I’d like to come to you when I get there. Then I have an idea what exactly they’re what kind of elements that they looking for in the in the image and I find I find out the great hydrator process yeah so before the Artistry or the tech technicalities fly I tried to address the sort of the motive the intention of the image the the commission of damage what purpose is it going to serve I try I try to ask that if not I’ll try to offer that ship for is it to excite is it to attract is said to provide healing is said to mirror pain is it to naira. So I have to deal with intention and motivation first before I pick everything happens after that the technicality with that so and usually I work but I shoot the I can shoot them anywhere as she if I’m shot them and everywhere and I can even put I can just put on a white ball are white background Photoshop demand where are specified shoot them where they are where a place outside nature usually where at where do you find the context of their true lives live so it could be a forest it could be the sea it could be a robo in the city so I so yes I I that’s the best way to catch the location and things like that so of course photos are there photographers I I used to I used to use Photoshop I used I use Lightroom mostly all all ended with intention of serving the story the story is number one what is the story about the story that she wants to tell what’s the story we want to tell so story supersedes everything else that everything else yeah so that’s so I know that’s not the technical part of it but that is the major 80% considerations of creating that image I’m seeing in kind of feeling that what you’re doing is kind of a a Fung shui of the atmosphere and the environment so that your it’s the flow of energy that comes from being in a more personalized setting and not just being an a I mean you can wherever you are you can kind of crate that container and so you’re really alive everything to a point where the I bet that I bet and I would love for you to talk about it do you feel like when you set things up that way and you sent you you have the attention of facilitating a story that’s bigger than the technical aspects of things and taking train to do you do you feel that the synchronicities flow and that you have more magical kind of little happy accidents that open up new things is it really magical process or I’m a great believer of what you call this you are brought there for certain beasts and things happen for Speed like for example one time edestus International mall to ship came she came in a day early to San Francisco I am in San Francisco so she came in a day early is it okay I’m ready to shoot them here I said it’s the next day I’m so sorry I said you know there’s a reason why this happened so where are you now she said she was at this place is it okay let’s shoot their let’s shoot their that’s not that’s there’s a reason why this happened and that’s not that’s not how you know drivers build me up. Let’s let’s do what we have and I think that’s why the goddess isn’t that what whatever cards you’re dealt with you play it’s oh so that’s what we did and we ran out of that cave really good in the tree and she was she was very happy about that yeah so so yeah so I’m I’m really I may have a Septa SEPTA Plan for a shoot but IM I’m willing for happy accidents are hot or Serendipity just to come in and my my my challenge to myself is Follow You Follow Follow Follow the White Rabbit where it leads so pleasurable and satisfying and also less frustration yeah less stressful just go with the flow yeah that’s that’s another good thing to talk about my intention for the creative works that I’m engaged in is too I decided a few years ago that I was going to try to hold to a policy that if stress is in the price tag of anything then I’m just going to decide that I want it I’ll have this whatever this baby yeah baby we’re not the not the intended artist to work at a production environment do you want it yeah just talked about how you have you felt because you do you do sounds like you do a combination of your own your own you work for hire as for other so when you talk to other people who are in that high stress high production mode de vie are you able to mitigate that into sir to soften that sounds like you I would imagine that you were able to experience experience that helps me and what are the deliverables what they really want and for what intention I have to ask I really have to see a specialist in advertising they have stuff to tell me who the market is what the product is what what kind of what kind of woman are they trying to Target so once we have that down that Things become much easier and sometimes it’s best if they’re on site so they can say okay that’s great that’s nice I’ll use that yeah so things yeah removing all the obstacles to do that and of course working in the budget I sometimes you know those things might not be no because I have a lot of upcoming stock up so so I take it this job and should take it as a challenge to see if I can deliver especially if we have to save infection style or same same philosophies that yes I would do that so yes but yes I think most of the time it’s the qualifications of the update of the intention of the pieces and also the budget what are they worth Easter budget a sieve what can be delivered under their budget so I also suggest which which part might they might not invest in more so that they can achieve their goals or getting a better location yeah so yeah so but it starts first with their objective yeah I suppose sounds like again you were definitely able to just transform the space in and get through the air like to ask about just what you were if you have tips for a more enlightened way of doing model release agreements and a talent release form and just what I just said to give a little background what I’ve noticed is that as I’ve been kind of exploring the space sort of on my own just that there’s a wide range of different types of terms in contracts and release forms and whatnot and its really sadly in the worst cases which are pretty dominant seems like that it’s the tendency is to release trip a lot of rights away that are non-negotiable and + infinity and + just no no no limits and no causes that would give much agency to a woman to want to be forgotten later or to have you no content removed or or even have the right to to approve the content before it’s published in too, and have her Visions just there’s all kinds of different I believe ways the scene ways and kind of ways that you can be very empowering even into the business contract kind of in the things I’m curious if you apply what you apply in that area and and in the Bible some of the stuff yeah so let me talk to the models who might be listening or thinking to be Manos is that a mother release is really you are released that is she all release that is your release you’re releasing the photographer along with his other assigns that could be the magazine from from from going back to you and asking your permission you can you can put a certain you can don’t be afraid to write down you don’t get a new ship in the pawn shop in the model release or type it in specially if it’s an app weather because sometimes you know you can put their ass I will should not be used for stock photography or should not be used for a drug campaign so yeah so you can eat if you have that choice yet but essentially it is a really you’re releasing the photographer or the creative person to do whatever you’re just lucky and they’re in their clay so once you accept that you do not know the problem is, I see problems are we performers artist performers feel that they are getting you and the old that they own the pictures and that they have final say I give them a lot of leeway but unless it’s written down that you have that kind of relationship unless you commissioned them which is much more expensive actually so yes or performers after Escapade they want to be portrayed they have they have a certain brand to put that if you’re a photographer you tried to get into that I tried to be good nice and run about that few you may or may not what’s your brand down it’s up to you if it will if it if it will serve both of you but with my performers is that the I mean I mean I mean without a really good picture which I know with would be good for magazine or something or any other for a jury selection but they say I don’t like how I look so yeah so subsidy I could be your issue that could be your that’ll be some of your frustrations I stabbed is dealing with with with their wishes and their their ideas yeah off of what is beautiful or what is appropriate for them it’s a complex question I appreciate that you really did cover it from the number of Dimensions really appreciate even the way that you that you put yourself into the perspective and and spoke directly to the different the different stakeholders you interpret in a production and if I can follow up a little bit and just say I can commiserate and I feel that you know it’s what I’ve discovered really is that it is a very very big deal to any human being who has vulnerabilities and insecurities which we all do to have to have yourself kind of Amplified an exaggerated all over now the internet with literally no way to prevent any kind of pirated use of whatever mean there’s some methods of recourse but really it’s it’s it is a big deal to let your likeness loose into the the world out there that the cyber world and then what not end and despite save feeling really empowered about doing something in advance and then life happening in wanting to distance yourself from certain things or just like you’re saying that very simply just feeling you look at the set of photos in and maybe you would have down to very few at a very many because of just feeling like you don’t want to you don’t want to share those things so I thought you had to interesting Dynamic antonym to be not even in any in any other agency I just comes down to on all sides both sides did the photographer’s producers or directors and and models and other other people playing different roles to understand that I think the way I guess the need to be professional and to be in you no compassion and pathetic there just has to be really well defined boundaries in in well written. I just feel like every every production should have its own customized two or three emails back and forth of setting up the terms in it in a healthy way that sets the boundaries and expectations you know for everything and and that isn’t just a cookie cutter template that people just don’t even look at her read and they just pass it all honey you know what I mean so if you have any tips for 4/4 at any of that or we can move on to something else I think we covered the first resources professional photographers of America EPA has good mod have good releases that you can get Getty Images has a great model of 4 releases so you can use any of that but that being said is there a whoever your client is I mean as a as a photographer artist you have to do some education with regards to your client especially in a client that that is in the public eye for intends to be in the public eye for long periods Natural State have a brand so to speak this what I advise them I advise them that form focus group maybe three of three people not their friends but three people that represents their target market so whoever your target market is get three representatives and finally find them and let them look at your pictures let them what I asked asked them. Which one appeals to them because a lot of these performers day they allow this artist celebrities that take pictures which do not relate relate or a connect with your audience you have to let the audience take that and something most of the time because the big shoes are the pictures that are authentic pictures that show a give them a glimpse of who they really are not the Photoshop contrived pictures they want to see that they want to be able to connect with that so that’s the reason why a lot of people can connect with my pictures because I have thrown up my my ideas of what you see is I let I let them all at the people the people make the by audience tell him I know show me that’s why I look into the inside portion I am I looking at the two God method add the the data that comes so I haven’t I have a glimpse of what kind of people but what are they like water. So so I’ll let you kick me in the challenge of every celebrity every every instagrammer is how can I be relevant how can I be how can I connect I say start stop being controlling be real be authentic stand for something and let them choose what they do they connect and that’s a much better much better think I’m making making all this August 8th and Cynthia release forms yeah start by educating them opening their opening their mindset took the real success out there the real Beauty that’s out there that’s possible for them so with that yeah yeah that’s so profound an amazing it’s what the what comes to mind as you’re saying this is that actually I heard a I believe it was a CD Baby independent musician conference that the founder of patreon give a keynote speech at and one of his one of his this points that stuck with me of the monks many the story of his Evolution as a musician making music videos and finding that is content was not satisfactorily monetized on big other big data platforms and so he created patreon basically to serve his own interest to be able to make some people able to tip the creative work cities that he’s done and so that kind of snowballed into this platform that’s in power so many people and one of the points he made that stuck with me so much was it when you talked about how you just need to really Anna paraphrasing but he said you know for musicians this is the device you know the main devices if you just have to continue to produce content and not try to tweak it to Perfection and slow down on making an excuse for music it was like don’t try to make the if you spend too much time in between releases you basically lose attention but but even worse it’s just you don’t you think you know what your number one Smash It track is going to be you know what Elkwood tracks on an album or going to be the the chart Toppers but really you don’t ever know and it could take years to find out so just keep flowing and so I feel like what’s coming to me based on what you said which is a total parallel to that feeling of all only the best images can get through but if you let the clutch you know the crowd or the cloud decide I think that’s a really could be a genius way to help women especially who have the issues of body dysmorphia and all of these I mean I don’t want to even get into it but all of the different vulnerabilities and that that can plague the consciousness of a woman in her relationship to her beauty and two people watching into cameras in an art and everything it’s like if you could just let literally let people vote with some means of some technical means online and say hey this is the most of this set these are the show us the full set and then we’ll tell you where your most where we think you’re most beautiful and you can blame that up with you know where you need maybe it’s like you need love on your on this part of your body and that’s where people felt that so they love you being I don’t know if this is a dynamic thing feedback loop that that was touch down in that that speech and it makes me feel like it’s all about just creating as much caffeine as you can and you let the organic process of your fans kind of uphold what they find most glorious are beautiful or best sounding if it’s sticker whatnot so yeah engage shot engage your audience engage your target market get your fans cuz yeah you’re not producing just for yourself for juicing for your tribe and it’s red California you know you have to have to be done with this the wave where the wave when the waves come in you have to learn to serve it yeah I should be washed out on the Rocks yeah yeah so so it’s keeping her your whole census open to input and feelings yeah because the same thing with my clients and my audience is that I focus on the feeling yeah because whoever whether your client or a fan or someone. What what you remember is the feeling that I that I gave you it’s not it’s not the awesome technical saying that I did it’s the feeling that I gave you the motion that that was a roast in you and so the more eccentric you are the more the more you can sense to speak in a long list the inner desires yeah then then you’ll be able to engage and connect with your audience and also with with the performance well how can they connect with your audience as well beautiful also I think we got really really well into some of the ethics some of the not technically legal advice but some of the advisement around you know the really just being in good standing with the with the divine feminine this is Christmas Eve a l l go to greatest whatever the man’s law is I guarantee you it’s nowhere near as punishable and strict as certain of the the what I felt to be the strict guidelines of the divine feminine and I’ll leave it at that but it’s a higher level of Duty of care for the stove if you’re getting into this you know for sure of not being part of this conveyor belt of commodification that were involved in as an industrial society so it shines it shines through the work you’re doing this the voice that you have I can’t believe now we’ve already gone through most of an hour but I just want to ask you if you if you could spend a few more minutes to talk a bit about something I’m very curious about which is sort of the the economic ecosystem that you have quite a highly developed a sort of bird’s-eye view of with your level of experience in and your workload do you have and everything so for people who are nuby starting out in this the field of let’s say being you could say you’re a digital artist your portrait artist I don’t know exactly what all the categories you’ll find yourself in but as I’m seeing I guess I’m noticing around around on Instagram what not there’s people who are making a decent living even if just to patreon and NN other gigs were they might shoot weddings or they might shoot products or whatever I’d love to really know the sort of behind the scenes of a in the industry of the say that you just photography as an industry our people our people hacking through and making a living and doing independent freelancing and just the state of the industry I don’t know if that’s that’s I know it’s a huge question but I’m just curious if you could give us a little behind the scenes of how I guess the pie chart really of of what people do to stay afloat with their brands and their businesses from the product from the photographer visual artists are things okay so that’s a very very important question but first I go back to that surfing thing about step trans are happening in intense rapping in the industry where which you have to be aware of and if you want to create your Niche or create a state where you can thrive in it then you have to learn one is the trend stop everyone now so photographer with the new phone sending you have everyone is a graphic designer everyone’s a photographer so what will make you stand out is that yeah you have to you have to stand for something you have to stand you have to recognize the way that’s coming and it’s different for every generation some generations are big but the thing is they don’t really have money some generations are small but they do have money so what you should do is should have something where that was your Starbucks job you know that the job that you know that will give you some money just putting hours in it so every every artist at Starbucks jobs have that and then from there try to get a feel for that and try to come try to come up with something that really is you the question that you have to ask yourself first is how do you really want to work what do you really want to do and do it I know it’s Easter simply that I said than done but the thing is that’s huge cuz it’s not you’re still not saying make an excuse why you can’t do find a way to do it but they have to be you have to work at it it’s not easy but you have to work at it if it mustn’t Rob your soul from your penis that’s me some people you know performing in different ecosystems that’s fine everyone is different but I’m sure everyone that everyone there should be a balance of what brings food in your table and a roof over your head and also what feature so so I tried to find a way where it’s a path that will happen sometimes my case I did not I did not look at the Mark that say okay mister Market I had to create the market so create the market that you would like to try it in that if you have if you have that opportunity then create a pocket yes if you if you build something that’s that connect people they will come to you from all over the world so so yeah so yeah stand for something yeah and then do the do the do the financial work count the cost at the cost in order to pursue that and it’ll be something there may be some sacrifices that maybe but there’s nothing I walk into your in your past there will be angels that will that will open doors your way because you you have you have Kinect read something or something greater than yourself so so yeah so that that’s that’s what I can say as an artist and they don’t talk about the money I don’t know I don’t know maybe it’s just me but they don’t talk about the money but they talk about the flow if there’s a good for the money will come the money will come up there. Just you just have to find the flow find that stream where find extreme where you will Thrive at the Panera shield and find a group of people that’s real that you can serve and yeah so that’s the that’s my I am I’m sorry I’m sure there are there are there are there are there what’s called this other things will deal with the economics of it and the business aspect of it but because we go to school in order to learn how to make a living but they never taught us how to live right so likewise you have to know you have to find how to live as an artist you have to find out for yourself and find your it your angels who can teach you can guide you along that path and empty box yet each of us has wisdom that we can impart to each other and each each other to that first day of first find a way to live next how to make a living from the bottom of my heart and I’m sure any listener who is hurt more than one or two episodes of this podcast are going to know that without a doubt you are a huge angel wings being brought to help to bring shed this light of Consciousness and awareness into it the other people who who are really on the front lines of confronting the shadow of a lot of things that have to do with imagery have to do with portrayal of women and and all that so I feel that I hundred percent 100% of concur with being in the zone for good and whatever that cause being that’s what you you pursue in the flow like you said surfing the flow of abundance he will be a nurse artist and not a starving artist so creative process that involves other people and uplifting way and you will be golden and so yeah that’s the real currency oh yeah yeah things are growing a garden things will grow in your garden and I don’t think you can top it with those best last words for now if you like to give your website and yeah let people know how they can connect with you how they can book you for for shoots and how they can follow your work I would love to help promote everything that you’re doing yeah just Google my name Robert domondon all o c o m o n d o n n it will point you to all my websites and all my work in the interwebs so that’s my thing and feminine I I hope that I would like to re-emphasise the values of Integra the respect for everything transparency kindness compassion unconditional love for self and all life just is fairness, creativity freedom and spirituality sacred geometry or relationships and that’s that’s what I would like to bring out there and hopefully you can relate to that and that’s we can work together beautiful will one of these days we’re going to have to give you some background music for meditation CD Reformation CD got to have it I love it yet and you’re one of my my greatest spiritual spiritual Heroes choa kok Tsui the founder of the pranic healing system but big residents there so I appreciate that you send us off with a beautiful prayer and and I thought you couldn’t have talked to you at the last passwords but you you certainly did I appreciate it thank you so much you know we’re going to we’re going to leave these metaphors and and get some beautiful work done so I will be in touch with you and we will definitely continue the journey and I’m sure sooner rather than later we’ll be there would be a budget that brings us together from the projects that I’m kind of manifesting so I will see you in a more beautiful now troll beautiful future thank you been my pleasure also all right you have a great night take care take care, and cook on the Donate button to help support the show in addition to sustaining and improving the podcast your donations will help establish permaculture goddess Temple I provide ecological an appointment for single mothers Please Subscribe and share your favorite episodes if you have questions or comments feel free to leave a voicemail at 818-275-1593 or email event at Archer Park. Com and our journey together will begin podcast episode number 149 I’m being joined by Alexandria Baker of from Alexandria. Come she is a Southern California sex educator Hatha Yoga instructor ethical luxurious natural skincare and beauty products entrepreneur she also does modeling and performance are and she reached out to me as a podcast listener and fan of the show I’m to connect and talk about sex in mindfulness and she’s going to be doing a presentation at the upcoming positive sexuality conference which I believe the registration is closed so may not be able to get in for that but hopefully I don’t know if you’ll be getting a recording of that or just just in general a good plug to connect with the the center for positive sexuality the episode previously that Alexandria connected to from the podcast was the one I did with Emily Pryor where we talked all about that hurt past and the history of the the center for positive sexuality which is a great resource and something you should definitely connect with so yeah with all that said I just like to get it started with Alexandria you sharing your your personal background and how you have become ethical luxurious proprietress of so many wonderful things in the world oh my goodness thank you so much for having me on your show first of all then I have been listening intently for about a year and a half maybe two years and this has been a great guide to my journey in my Awakening especially as it relates to sex in mindfulness and I a little bit about me I grew up on the edge of a very health minded yet religious town and I had to make my own pass and figure my own way out when it comes to relating to myself in relationships and sex and we never had any sex ed class in sexual relationships were something that we’re seeing that as deviant so that he didn’t fit with my mindset and it was pretty hush-hush but I’m glad to have had a partner who is offsets a metal frame and so we were able to explore it safely and lovingly which one another and as I grew up and matured and sound different ways of relating to others on a deeper level meditation yoga became primary practices in my life and with that I was able to you start diving into Tantra and bringing meditation into the bedroom and a way of baby centering and focusing with my lover is sad that has allowed me to experience sex in a way that is transformative an incredibly healing and beautiful container of self-discovery and meeting a higher self and allowing and sharing this with the person or the persons who are are held in that beautiful container of intimacy has the background as far as this texted mindfulness-based my ethical vegan body products it’s a bit different where I grew up dealing with a lot of allergies and skin issues I had pretty bad acne throughout high school and my first few years of college that Led Tech old hatred unfortunately and feeling myself as less than and it was really frustrating because I wouldn’t know what these flare-ups what these bumps what these rashes were coming from and as I became more in tune with myself in my center and focusing on my eating practices and being a bit more cleaner and more aware of what I was putting into my body orally I noticed that there are certain things that would trigger my allergies and from they’re growing up as a pescatarian and I realized this was one of my triggers and I cut out of my diet and wheat was another trigger as with soy and these were things that were primary parts of my diet and as I was looking at the ingredients on skin care that I was purchasing these were primary ingredients on the backs of these natural products not so much fish oil base emulsifiers and its present in a lot of stuff and a lot of things that I would find at the grocery store so I set out to make my own yummy low ingredient allergen-free body product so that I could take charge of my house and my skincare as I was doing with my diet and I love how I can get into the kitchen and create something with my hands using products that are natural from this Earth mango butter and Argan better than hemp seed butter is really delicious things that are full of wonderful antioxidants and vitamins and amino acids that will help heal and regenerate the skin and sensing it with wonderful organic acid call essential oils that are designed to take you on a journey and so I am someone who is very much attracted to things of the senses especially with sent and this became part of my practice that I would then bring into the bedroom and massager with sexual lubricant so that I Ed Sheeran with myself on a personal level but also with lovers and with friends so that we could all enjoy the process of self-care and self-love that comes from using products that are made with love with house and goodness in mind for yourself ads there are and allowing us to share that self-care practice those beautiful thank you so much Bravo and that you deserve a round of applause for that it’s always so texting when a person’s business is the journey of self healing and exploration and there’s a whole country edition Nike archetypal tradition of the Wounded healer where in order to understand whatever you are elements or issues maybe you sort of Blaze the trail to did the discovery and then you’re always from that wound or that one being like you’re saying the you know they’re conscious the way it affected your your self concept in to be able to transcend that and then leave from that place of healing very personal place that always has a much more how much deeper story to connect with four people who were enjoying the products so I appreciate that you were weaving it with the sexuality peace and and Tantra and I feel like that is the direction we need to go for people to put as much give as much personhood to their lower half of their body is to the upper half friend that know the public Parts in the private parts need to be more Eric Moore cared for with all this so that’s wonderful said you want to talk about as a sex educator what what types of offerings do you have enough in that area I would love to I want to bring two people and what I do bring to people is caring for the soul and caring for the south in the partners and being extremely communicative in line for with the individual that you’re seeing in the SEC space as well as yourself and eventually that concept of individual melts away and you become one and the one becomes this everything and to really bring that concept little by little Earth the person’s ready to just dive into it I want to share that beauty and that loves because from there we can have a higher vibration out in the world when we see that everyone’s connected everyone is this love everyone has that part of themselves that is from that the higher order and it’s also about going into the practices of kink in a mindful Safeway and being conceptual Mulberry microwave with communication and being safe in all rounds possible so I work with Planned Parenthood and I also work with the center for positive sexuality so that we can get the how fast facts out there making sure you’re getting your STI checks and being a safe and productive as possible to keep you and your community healthy and also diving into you Kingston leaves sectors of sex that we don’t necessarily talk about his friends or in in a larger sense anyway that’s outside of the internet really so I’m I’m trying to move this conversation in a way that allows people to recognize that sex is beautiful sex is natural we’re here because of sex and every day there millions of sexual encounters that were happening and even if half of those or not his love and positivity how much more Blissful would this world be I can only imagine and we’ll help you out that’s amazing so you are really in a deeply embedded in the does the infrastructure to bring this to people so again I applaud you for that it’s it’s definitely that piece of being able to get as wild as you can possibly imagine but also be anchored in the medical health aspect of sexuality is a rare thing to find a fun place you know why there’s these types of nonprofits exist to help people have safe guidelines in DUI yeah what are some of the without obviously you know disclosing anything to to confidential or private do you want to talk about some of the patterns of issues that you are helping people confront some of the things that you feel are like most in the Forefront of modern times of what people are dealing with and what feels like it needs the most care and attention these days for me when I work with women I share a lot of how do I tell my partner that I want X Y and Z and it’s you talk to them we have these conversations and we do so in a setting where everyone is able to feel her and everyone is able to have their needs met via communication and via the practice and it’s as I was going through my own sexual experiences and listen to my friends talked about their own women and I I don’t want to overgeneralize by I am a woman I identify with she her pronouns this is the perspective that I can give women have been told to be in a more submissive role and to be the ones who are the acceptors of the actions put upon us and that Austin time sitting or laying or attempting to be present with things that are painful things that are degrading things that don’t make us feel good at the end of our experience or through our experience and so what oftentimes happens is that we check out we lose touch with this part of ourselves that when conscious can illuminate so much within us that extends outside of the bedroom and so what I want to do and what I aim to do is turn people on to that Consciousness and that excitement and Zapp part of themselves that wants to be present and aware of the sexual experience and when it comes to Healing traumas that often times needs to be done solo and so we’re going to feel just your fingertips touching your clavicle or what it’s like to caress your own cheek how it feels to tug on your earlobe or touch your toes spread your toes with your fingers to the beautiful experience of self massage that doesn’t even have to do with genital contact and then once you’re comfortable with feeling and experiencing our bodies moving onto or moving in tear touching touching are genitals and really experiencing that Yoni pleasure and breast massage and feelings that are on my nipple so that we can become conscious with the sexual Awakening and that can then be brought into the sphere with partner Partners if that’s what the person wants and so that comes with knowing yourself so that you can then communicate oh honey I feel better when you touch me lighter I appreciate that you’re so enthusiastic but let’s think our breathing so that we can slow down and when we’re able to communicate our once in our needs in a loving way that shows that we like what our partners doing or maybe need to shift it so that both of us can enjoy the sexual experience can be fulfilling for all parties involved awesome well I just kind of have been on a journey as Siri speaking at they have a very very effective way of bringing people into that that a conscious State and you know something that stands out for me that you mention and we’ll gets kind of more into the the realm of classical Shamanism I guess you could say would would be that he knows very Translating that notion of checking out when you feel kind of misused or abused or that that process is what is often referred to in that shamanic you know that this course is being where the soul starts to break apart in what you’re actually losing alcohol at some people call it so lost some people call it Soul theft if the intention that is predatory on the end of somebody harming someone else in really it’s like your slices of your of your deep tissue of your soul or are being broken apart I mean there’s different metaphors for it it’s kind of amorphous because you can see it’s part of the astral plane or it’s sort of a different dimension of our being but you know what when when I hear you speak about that it it really reminds me that it’s not it’s in addition to really predatory kinds of abuse it can also just be like you’re saying very subtle forms of Disconnect where it’s kind of abrasions if not you no fractures but there’s a different degrees of wounding on the Flesh and there’s different degrees of warming on the soul so it’s so important to have that communication yeah thank you for doing that work and do you also in your practice do you also bring in yogic exercises and and what kind of two obviously tantric breathwork and meditation visualization chakras Kundalini kind of experiences has really loud me to connect with the power of the brass and the practice of life force and when we’re able to get in touch with that and not fear it but be able to really experience the belly breaths and feel like chest expand in our clavicles rise within Halen our shoulders are ribs pulling and connecting us to that deeper awareness that we can bring into all avenues of our life and when we are able to do these breathing exercises and that’s actual around with our cells are with our partner that helps us connect and experience that unity in that one that’s done that aliveness of the world in ourselves and with certain Austin as I’m certain slow as you can get into a delicious juicy practice and I have recently been doing is incorporating the Yoni egg into my practices and I also do aerial arts and so bringing this into my performance and bringing it into my personal yoga practice has been a deeper Awakening in a deeper way to get in touch with with my divine feminine in a way that I am so so grateful exist so when I can bring that to other people and show them that our sexuality are being very sacred and there are these practices that really help us connect to that design beautiful essence of our feminine and of our every Universe we can hear ourselves and she’ll each other and Heal the World I totally agree with that and yeah this is this synthesis of more clinical sexological sector of like what you’re doing and Planned Parenthood and what a lot of sex educators are doing in high schools and college settings and you know about for everything from gender studies and basic awareness of politics and language of gender and in and that Roman and then addressing Rape Crisis centers and just bringing more Consciousness to all these different car in points where people are either Contracting diseases or having unwanted but unplanned pregnancies or experiencing abuse I feel like the the future opportunity or potential would be that people like you doing what you doing what will actually sort of get through that that filter in that mesh of the western clinical mindset which is you know I’ll save kind of just as a little side note here that it’s it’s really challenging sometimes to bring the deeper spirituality peace through that framework because understandably these more clinical models they want to be cross-cultural they want to not give her any particular practice which could alienate anyone or offend anyone so it’s always got to be super you know white coat medical clipboard and you know charts on the wall but what what I think will happen is that there will eventually be chakra charts alongside the muscular and skeletal and me all the anatomy chart going to clinical office and it’s why I believe yeah it’ll be people like you were going to be able to bring more mindful in the mindfulness is probably the best way to translate without getting too mystical or we were so how does that is that I love to know if you have been able to sort of ethically hack if you will that and Bridge you know probably a friend of your word but yeah any luck with that Kylie it’s actually really exciting and I think that my education has and continues to find me for being able to flirt with a associate clinical medical and also going into the more spiritual BGC practices and More in line with the kids in the key Delaney and experiencing things and energetic mediums within our bodies and working through ceiling that way but there’s also that when they hear anything that has totally turns them off and I get it I understand so there is a way to connect with that secular standpoint and my aim in life is to continue receiving education so that I can be the highest level practitioner in all rooms that I can be and my background is in Psychology and wonderful University that I went to allowed me to do studies that were I certainly more colorful than what most have probably done there but I was able to internet of yoga studio and I did my final thesis on psychedelics and sacks Professor was not super enthused about it but she was like okay well if you can do it do it and I did it and I learned a lot and I also was able to present it and present these fabulous studies super shout out to Maps doing awesome work and present these studies to people who hadn’t heard of psychedelics outside of just drugs are bad don’t do them kids here is your brain on drugs and explain how to fry and clay static and is able to link these parts of ourselves that we might not have touch with on a daily basis I am learning in finding ways to integrate the research with experience and with people’s conversations with me and what I see out in the fossil or Elmer out in I do performance also in the club scene and so just taking it within all of these different sectors that I live and I working but bring it back to something that will allow Society to see it in a way that is valuable and has the research behind it and so I love research I love studies I love being able to show data and show that mindfulness practices when done repeatedly on a consistent basis do you have it leads to Lasting positive change and anxiety reduction and increases people’s ability to socialize and helps with all sorts of Health markers that lead to longevity and a more positive outlook on life and currently the Western American model is one that looks at symptoms that looks at Ole Miss it looks at things that are wrong and we need to heal from totally I get that but what I want to do and what I have been doing in my research is looking at what what do we do what who are the people who are most successful and happy in their relationships and who are the ones who are the most resilient who steals from unimaginable traumas to go on to do things that are able to lie to last and change not only in themselves but also in the greater world what what are those characteristics and how can this happen to that type of human potential I’m so sexy psychedelics is another way so is talk therapy in for some medication is necessary and it’s not necessarily the route that I don’t but I have certainly seen cases in which it has helps a person clear away the clouds so that they can practice and they can get into these ways of being that help them live without the drugs or Pharmaceuticals I should say and why my journey is one that is towards Madison I’m aiming to become a doctor but I don’t just want to be an MD I want to be a DL a doctor of osteopathy so that I can treat the whole person with the ability to look at what’s really going on socially culturally it’s far as the diet there their exercise practices how what’s their stress level like so that I’m not just looking at these markers on charts but seeing them as a whole human being and able to help them gain independence day that control over their life what galaxy did you come from Mississippi out of this world I can’t thank you enough and crazy cuz this is really a synthesis of of all of the Maverick Rogue research that I have been conducting and and you know it at risk and so you know it’s it’s if I if I’m a kind of just the man to little bit about why and just to validate the work you’re doing this is so important because you know I can I’ll just kind of give a bit of a of a sidebar here so I have been somewhat religiously following Maps as work mainly through listening to all the episodes that have ever been released of the Psychedelic Salon podcast which has been cataloging And archiving not only the vast array of Terence McKenna talk switch your you know kind of comedic and entertaining is business in for his informative but also the history of maps and what in a lot of Rick doblin material and many other that the women’s Visionary Congress which is my favorite nonprofit in the world which brings in genetic research in practitioners amongst women in the underground really mostly in some some above ground as well or I don’t know exactly the balance of it but it’s it’s it’s so important for this type of work that the Psychedelic sexual healing in my in my sort of field or camping or to be in a and a higher conscious way medicalized not in a way of the way we medicalized anti-masturbation devices and drugs to kill libido and gay people and then that’s a whole nother shadow of Medicine of the medical establishment right is the when repression is codified in In The End by doctors and so many torture devices that have been created in the net and that shadow of this but in the more conscious and positive Ana where and spiritually informed manners that were talking about we really need as Country Acres and healers and King stirrers and everyone else who’s going into these these really funky places where we need a lot of help we need to work out a lot of issues together you know that the containers the spiritual safe containers that are designs for ceremony and ritual there that’s equally if not more important than the safety of the label on a drug in the warning label on a bottle of pills that mean that’s that’s what’s so interesting about what Maps is doing and the sort of this what Rak Rak razam kind of notice there studies that there’s the shamanic and this is shamanic psychedelic shamanic path of a revolution towards me no consciousness freedom of Consciousness and unconsciousness as a human right and then there’s the Psychedelic medical research which is about legalization in standardization of Doses and things that do not always an awesome opt-in cell or sell them work with you know the natural setting of shamanic ceremony where you’re taking a natural form of a plant and not a synthesized dose of a plant or something you know other material and so there’s a real it’s just a real important need to kind of find that happy medium for everybody where we can provide clinical medical safety and even things were sick if you’re going to do wild wild Kink or wild psychedelic shamanic ceremony in anything involving opening up deep wounds in the soul you should have maybe not an ambulance parked outside but certainly someone with first aid training yeah these are some of just stay she so do you want to talk about what you have planned for your sex in mindfulness presentation I think probably touched on how many things but if you don’t got to spoiler alert spoiler but just I’m just curious are like what you were what you were kind of synthesizing and in your your general kind of outline approach to initiating people in reducing answer to your medicine this is a secular conference room so I want to bring them a practice of mindfulness that they are able to connect with no matter what their background is so there will be some aspect of getting in touch with the body through the breast and getting in touch with the body through being aware of what is touching you and going into what mindfulness is what sex and mindfulness has to do with each other how we can bring mindfulness into the bedroom with ourselves are with our chosen partner and what cactus’s look like with the ones that we choose to have these experiences with as far as health concerns are the positive benefits meditation and other mindfulness practices that bring you into awareness of the present moment has been shown to give the practitioner lasting benefit as far as attention span and anxiety reduction and reducing like we had a depression it’s it’s really a beautiful thing and so I am going to do my very best to bring this to those who are attending the conference and choose disturbances I should say experience so I couldn’t help but notice on your Instagram that you’re very generous with your sensuality in in the photographic form that’s different Miley and which is exciting and for myself what I have been seeking in business partners and co-creative collaborators into people to share this so I would I believed to be a sexual Angelic Mission I mean that’s not the most secular words but you know there’s different words in different cultures for Heroes I mean hey we got nothing but super heroes coming out of the Hollywood you know Meme machine and so why not have sexual healing superheroes who have you know I’m super powers and that’s what we were cultivating with with with you know it’s time to practice is what they literally actually translate to two superpowers there was what they were called City uses you know how we would see the word now and in country scriptures but bringing this back to you know what I’ve noticed with your work and what how you present yourself online is but you were not daring bravely to seduce all hoof size fall upon you to be entranced in Enchanted to want to explore know you more and it would have that means clicking a like button and Court a follow or posting comments it’s an invitation to the world to engage with you and in that way and so many women and men but you know I’d say women are are they the ones with the multi millions of followers just on Instagram for one who are displaying the way that we would see animals in the wild the display with certain postures and certain gazing techniques and there’s this whole dance with the camera that is you know rhotic and I feel like it’s extremely powerful magic in a lot of people are not really fully conscious about how literally how much damage or how much killing big they can be doing with that power and certainly the people who own that Machinery have been for many you know for since photography existed they’ve been using it to sell poisons and unsustainable Prada the opportunity that I see you representing you know it’s very rare is that you have the Consciousness piece all these pieces put together and you are doing the seductive you know lens case with the lens in projecting yourself out to the world so you know I have more more time pack about that but I would like to pause and give you space to just share about how that feels for you and what your aspirations are in and what you’ve experienced so far and kind of like your take on that hole dimension of from sharing yourself a part of the entertainment industry for about five years now and it started with modeling and moved into Go-Go dancing and Performing Arts as far as the dance goes and now I’m finding a way to intersect all of that when I first started I was often times to eat only black girl on set the only one who needed my color foundation and as I excluded I felt I needed to find my own way and ice and so I began to take greater charge as my image in my presence and really be authentically myself and learn the makeup skills are in the hair skills start doing the costume designing but my partner at the time is a photographer and we started to have our own shoots with with models that we would find for my friends and then start to take a more more material charge of the performers who were a part of these other events that we were hosting or hoping to run and the Rave scene and doing things with other sectors of entertainment and as I began to work with Insomniac who hosts edc’s around the world I started to meet people who were more in line of my way of thinking of we can bring Beauty and light and figure and positivity into other people through the sphere through the space and Consciousness in many ways and within certain areas of the scene when I say seen I mean we’ve seen its Consciousness it’s really beautiful to get to share these experiences with people who also want to show love and give love and help people connect to love being onstage hundreds of thousands of people and there’s no doubt there is but there is something that is entry linking everyone and that we are all part of the same something and if so so beautiful and these experiences have connected me to photographers and other models who have shown me the ways of being embodied and being sexy but also being intelligent about it and that comes from other things that are part of my background but you’re presenting the parts of myself are presenting my whole self in a way that I can be proud of I used to be so nervous to post just my friends and I hanging out at the beach tonight and I want to share with people and show them that you can you can have this balance in this wonderful multi-layered expression of yourself where you are the academic are you are the physician or you are the teacher whatever role you give to yourself but you can also be in our bodies sexual person and allow all parts of yourself to come together so that you can you don’t have these conflicting parts of your person where you have to hide and you feel that sex is the shadow unfortunate part of yourself but bring it bring it to light and that’s the direction that I’m hoping to take this the modeling in the Performing is showing people that you can see your full authentic self and there are people who will accept and appreciate and receive healing from seeing that because they are given that permission to also do it and I do my best to be an online presence that is uplifting and cheerleader for the people who are doing this beautiful badass work beautiful awesome sex workers to the Educators to those who are just like having to like your post because I think you’re fabulous like here we are and ask to feed everyone the internet is expensive beyond all measure we can all be uplifted and shine and experience wonderful things from each other After experiencing ourselves and there is no room for competition in my sphere it’s all about love I encourage comments that will lead to good conversation not this I don’t want any of the call out the S I don’t want anything where people are putting other people down and we’re all trying we’re all doing our best let’s do it in a way that helps us learn helps us wake up and evolve and just in Courage other people to do the same Standing Ovation vs this is the kind of leadership this is the kind of sexual political leadership that we’re all starving for something that I share with you by email is that I’m no yeah technically in a business sense recruiting talent for a project which I feel is feel like an evolution of alt modeling you could say and evolution of all modeling would be to bring in role modeling where you’re not just looking quote bored and sad which is the direction that is given for a lot of people out of modeling set if you think of it from a tantra perspective in a magical respectively sake what are you what vibration are you cursing or buy you cursing or blessing us with your vibration and so there is people with Consciousness who want to do role modeling and actually want to teach something with they’re like oh yeah you want to look at my body great well here’s here’s me doing something useful to serve nature or served Humanity that is going to be actually a contagious meme of positivity and you’re going to learn something while you’re in a state of of arousal with my likeness and that is Magic that is like liquid cyber sex magic that is so powerful and so potent and it’s been used like I said what commercial has everything so why not why not promote the things that are most spiritually enriching invaluable and practical so like I would love to see for example in your case you’re making your beauty products in your lingerie and making instructional cooking shows and like DIY yeah right it would be if it’s always fun and Indian people used to staining that level of arousal you’re really actually from an early Mystic programming orner associative conditioning perspective you actually have literally melting there neurons and hardwiring them back into a position where the associate the positive constructive Behavior with what we all want to feel which sexual arousal like almost literally all the time and so I think that’s the magic potential and I see I’ve been torturing Myself by subscribing to all of these Instagram profiles of the models with millions of views and I just scan through and I see there is there literally doing absolutely nothing and nothing like they’re just standing someplace tonight and I appreciate especially when it’s doing nothing in nature but you could be doing something and be doing that something in it in a constructive setting and then and then the world will be changed literally overnight I mean if if if a fraction of the models on Instagram just did it like what would Vin Diesel did he did like a tree planting charity fund drive and so he leveraged is social capital of sexual Capital to get people in to Z Astic about nature and that’s the kind of stuff I think it’s just so so ripe to be explored and so you’re already fully inviting that yourself and I can only just see what would happen if more of the you know the resources that are going into production of art of all kinds really going that direction so you know that is my my public service announcement about this project that’s just my prayer at with this conversation is I don’t know what our individual or Collective Destiny will be but I do know that the the ingredients the natural ethical luxurious ingredients for all of these wonderful things they’re already being in there already in that cauldron and Emma and so again I I I thank you so much for it for reaching out and for sort of reinvigorating me in a sparking me that often Fades when I get really to moralize looking at what I’m up against and and then Jim’s come out diamonds in the Ruff and you certainly one of them so I I was send out those words of affirmation and also the the call-to-action that yeah everyone out there listening be your own erotic Rockstar model at the school ethical everything anything make a sexy naked find use the social media constructively and then we’ll all Rising tide will it will float all boats and lifts All Ships and so yeah so that Best Buy my closing words and prayers and please if you would take as much time as you desire to to balance the energy that says that I’m sharing if you will thank you so much for having me on this has been such a pleasure to explore how this works with your thoughts and to hear how oh my gosh I love that this has been a spark to you and that you are really wanting to continue on with your project of highlighting these beautiful fabulous women in light Warriors who share to heal through this form of social media and
